We are a general family practice located in Peoria, AZ. Our mission is to provide the finest quality dentistry with honesty and integrity in a safe and comfortable environment. We strive to build life long relationships with our patients, and do so by treating our patients like family. Our scope of practice ranges from cosmetic dentistry including bonding, veneers and crown/bridge procedures, to root canal treatments and extractions. General & Cosmetic Dentistry can give you a smile you're happy to show off and our modern techniques make it easier than ever for you to have a bright, even smile that you've always desired! Desert Summit Dentistry was opened in August of 2000 by owners Dr. Doug Gabriel DDS and Cindy Gabriel RDH. As a husband and wife team, they worked hard to create an environment that was welcoming and warm to those who wanted to improve their oral health and smile. Over the past 14 years they have created strong and trusting relationships with their patients, many of which that have remained patients the entire 14 years! Recently, in June of 2014, their daughter Dr. Shylah Gabriel DMD joined the practice. She is very excited to kick start her career in dentistry at Desert Summit Dentistry, using her mother and father as mentors and role models to provide the highest quality of care and comfort. Dr. Douglas Gabriel was born in San Jose, California and later moved to Washington State with his family. Dr. Gabriel attended the University of Washington earning his undergraduate bachelors of science degree in Biology and then going on to complete his Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1987. Upon graduating, he moved to the beautiful sunny climate of Arizona to practice dentistry. He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Arizona Dental Association and the Central Arizona Dental Society. Dr. Gabriel understands that the current world of dentistry is very dynamic and evolving. He strives to stay up to date on new technologies and dental treatments. He is continuously seeking to advance his clinical skills on a monthly basis via professional publications and continuing education courses in all fields of dentistry. His practice philosophy revolves around treating his patients like family and he finds it especially rewarding restoring and maintaining their oral health and smile. He likes talking with his patients and it is important to him that each of his patients are made to feel comfortable and at ease so that they look forward to advancements in their oral health through quality dental treatment. Other interests of his include scuba diving, snow skiing, exercising, watching sports, spending time with family and traveling. His main focus is his family; his wife Cindy Gabriel and their two beautiful daughters Shylah and Ciarra. His wife Cindy is the office’s hygienist and manager and he doesn’t know what he would do without her. He is especially proud of Shylah who also decided to become a dentist and join the practice in mid-2014. They all love the Phoenix metropolitan area and the wonderful weather the desert has to offer.
