TLDR: Run, don’t walk, to this dentist. I love, love, love my dentist and his staff. As someone who has had extreme dental anxiety to the point that I used to need sedation dentistry, this is obviously saying a lot. I was already in the process of getting over it when I switched to Dr. V. Because I trust him so fully from great experience after great experience, I no longer need to take prescription anti-anxiety medication before I go. He is kind and really cares about his patients. He does excellent and gentle work. He really tries to charge you fairly and even worked extensively with my insurance to get as much covered as possible. I need to give an additional shout out to Sabrina, the dental hygienist I saw today. She also really cares and pointed out some things to me about my dental care that I know will really make a difference since I have some special circumstances stemming from bad genetics. I have had bonding that another dentist did 20 years ago due to ultra-white staining on my teeth. I had Dr. V redo it two years ago, and I know it was a huge challenge to color match my teeth and cover those stains again. He was meticulous about making it look like I hadn’t had work done and covering the staining. I also had whitening done on the parts of my teeth that were not bonded before he did the actual bonding replacement. Today when I went in for my normal cleaning, I asked about freshening up my whitening because I love red wine and coffee. I am getting married at the end of November, and I wanted my teeth to look my best for the pictures. They took care of me today without an additional appointment. No one ever tries to push anything on me that I don’t need or want. They didn’t push me on veneers that were out of my price range, although I am saving up for them because they look so good. I have seen Dr. V’s work on veneers, and it is amazing. I really cannot say enough good things about Dr. V and his practice. Your vibe attracts your tribe, and his tribe is awesome. He is a good man

Dr. Poria is absolutely incredible. My husband had been coming to him for years and always bragged about him. Dr.Poria has great bedside manners, completely honest, attentive to questions and concerns. He also helped me by educating me and properly sedating me while extracting my wisdom teeth (3 of them) and other work was done. Besides that, the whole team is excellent, from the front desk to the assistants. The place is also impecable and nicely decorated. I will keep coming to him and my family as well! Thank you Dr.Poria and team!

Dr Rafiei is awesome! So happy I found him. After a not so pleasant dental experience, I came to Distinct Dental for a cleaning. Contrary to popular belief, I had the best experience at THE DENTIST!!!! Can you believe it?? How many dentist offices have you been to where the DENTIST cleans your teeth??? Well Dr. Rafiei takes the time to clean his patients teeth…i couldn’t believe it. Everyone from his assistant to his back office ladies were so nice, and made me feel comfortable the minute I walked in the door. At the end of my appointment, Dr Rafiei sat down with me to discuss his treatment plan. I will DEFINITELY be back… thank you Distinct Dental!

This office is the most amazing dentist office I have ever been into. The staff is so professional and caring. Doctor Poria is a true expression of what a doctor should be . You go in with dirty teeth and come out with a clean heart 🙂 . This office is taking customer service at a new level. So caring and compassionate!! Highly recommended

I started going here while I lived in the galleria area, kept going after I moved to Katy and now I’m going to him even though I am out in Pearland. Always worth the drive. As long as I am in the Houston Area he will be my dentist. Super friendly staff and I have never had a bad experince.

As I have had so many issues with my teeth, I have been to many, many dentists and I will say that Dr. Poria Rafiei is the best dental practice I have EVER been to in my whole dental history. At Distinct Dental I was made to feel so welcome and comfortable both by the friendly competence of the staff and the pleasant environment of the office itself. The office is in a great location, and all the staff are super friendly. Dr. Rafiei’s utmost care and genuine concern is amazing. He takes the time to explain every procedure and makes sure I know why is doing what is needed to be done. He is very professional, yet very personable. My three children also see Dr. Rafiei and they are in no way “afraid of the dentist”. So all in all, all I can say about Dr. Rafiei is: “AWESOME is the word!! Dr. Rafiei and his staff will go above and beyond for their patients !! I have never in all my years had a better experience than with this dentist and staff. I would HIGHLY recommend to family , friends and neighbors alike …. Keep up the exceptional work, and you are very much appreciated!!!”

We used to see a different dentist and we made the move and THANK GOODNESS! He really takes time to talk to you and give you a full understanding of what’s going on. All the staff is awesome. So happy to finally have a dentist I know I can trust and enjoy going to. I highly recommend him. I am South African and we are used to developing relationships within our medical team. I find healthcare here a lot different with very short interaction times. It was different at this dentist. I’m very happy

I highly recommend Distinct Dental. Dr. Rafiei is very skilled and efficient. Most recently I was in for an appointment for multiple fillings. All of the work was done beautifully, and the healing process was quick and painless. In addition to great dental service, the office is beautiful and the staff is friendly and helpful.

Dr. Rafiei is hands down the best dentist I have ever had! He and his team are incredibly professional and caring, attentive and undistracted. I have had a few frustrating dental experiences over the years, but I felt very taken care of here. Dr. Rafiei made sure to let me know what measures they were taking to combat COVID-19 and he still showed a wonderful bedside manner even behind a facemask. He thoroughly explained all of the work he did and made sure all of my questions were answered. During the procedure, he frequently checked in to make sure I wasn’t uncomfortable or feeling any pain. I would highly recommend Dr. Rafiei to anyone looking for a new dentist or anyone needing a change. He is wonderful!
