I am so happy we found Douglas Family Dentistry. I have never been thrilled going to the dentist, but there’s something different about this one that I can’t put my finger on. The staff are professional, respectful and caring. Before my first visit, I received a phone call from the front desk letting me know to call before I came in due to current health restrictions. Dr. Williams also called the night before to answer any questions I had. When I came in, Shiloh treated me and was quick and super helpful. They cleaned my retainer for free too and now it’s spotless! The first-time patient visit was quick. I think I was seen and treated in less than 45 minutes which is stellar. I highly recommend coming here if you’re looking for a dentist in the valley.

I had a great experience today at Douglas Family Dentistry!!! The office was comfortable and state of the art. I was a first time patient, the staff greeted me in a friendly and efficient manner. I was seen promptly and met Dr. Douglas and he reviewed my past dental history. I had a thorough panel of x-rays and a cleaning after years of not being seen by a dentist. This is the best dental office. On time. High tech modern equipment. This is a modern practice. No picking during checkups. They use video cameras, lasers, and other high tech stuff to “sense” if there is a problem in the tooth. The staff is very professional and friendly. I had been avoiding the dentist for a couple years and had A LOT of work to be done. They guys developed a treatment plan to get my chops in tip top shape. I was in and out so fast each time I did not have the usual dread of going. They specialize in cosmetic dentistry if you are after that Hollywood smile but do not push procedures in any way. They actually recommended that I NOT correct my one crooked front tooth (think Kirsten Dunst) because they said it gave me my smile character. They said people ACTUALLY PAY MONEY to get my snagle tooth smile. Crazy. Anyway, I highly recommend this practice.

If you are in need of dental care there is no better place in Scottsdale than Douglas Family Dentistry. I have been a patient for 12 years and have recieved outstanding care each and every time I have visited (average 3 times/year). Yesterday I went in to have a crown put on one of my teeth that had developed a small crack. The douglas staff had been monitering the crack for a couple of years and I finally decided it was time to deal with it rather than waiting for it to break and cause a great deal of pain and inconvenience. Getting a crown is never a fully pleasant experience but I have to say, Dr. Paul Douglas and Shiloh Rhodes made it as pleasant and “enjoyable” as possible. Thank you for a GREAT job!

I have hated going to the dentist and avoided it for many years. No “chair-side” manner, pain during appointments, and other problems kept me from going PERIOD. Even though I was referred to this practice by a friend, it still took me about two years before I went! First visit (consult appointment) was like night and day from everything I’d ever experienced before. Dr. Douglas and his staff are amazing. They make everything easy for you and they put you at ease. It’s obvious that they know what they’re doing but they’re also very personable. AND…no pain! I didn’t even feel the Novocaine shots he gave and that is unheard of for me. I can actually say that I found a dentist that I will have no problem going back to.

I honestly can’t think of one bad thing to say about Douglas Family Dentistry (and I would say I’m a pretty critical person). It’s a very nice office with very modern, high-tech equipment, as the other reviewers have noted. Dr. Douglas is incredibly friendly, a very personable guy, and even though I only see him and the hygienists every six months, they all seem to remember me well. My teeth can be very sensitive, so if something hurts (which is inevitable with any dentist or hygienist), they don’t act irritated when I blow out their eardrums in pain. They have no problem giving me extra anesthesia when I ask for it and I don’t think I’ve ever been charged extra for that. One time I must have seemed cold, so the hygienist asked if I wanted a blanket on my lap during the appointment, which I found surprisingly nice. Even nicer though, was when they told me to keep it! Sure, it probably cost them $5 and it has their logo in the corner, but it’s a super warm fluffy blanket that I actually use quite a bit now! I always take their first appointment at 7:00am, and the atmosphere when I walk in is just refreshing. Everyone seems awake, alert, ready to start a new day. The office just has good vibes. Excellent customer service from all staff members. Excellent dental work. Very, very highly recommended practice.

I’ve been going to Douglas Family Dentistry now for about a year and a half and I’ve had a great experience. Did I mention I really don’t like going to the dentist and I’m a total scaredy cat? That alone makes me SUCH a fun patient for them, I’m sure. They are always on time, they have the best equipment available and everyone there is just so nice! Dr. Douglas is awesome and is who takes care of me (See they had to have the Boss handle me I’m so bad!). I’ve had everything from crowns to cavities filled with absolutely no issue. Just recently I had my front 6 veneers redone and although I was trying to put it off as long as I could, Mother Nature decided to have something crack my front veneer while on vacation – in Maui. Not a dentist to be found that would help me out. All I can say is “thank God for Super Glue!! I called Dr. D from Hawaii and he called me back over the weekend. I got back very late on a Friday afternoon and they opened their offices at 7am on Saturday morning to take care of my front tooth. If that’s not awesome customer service, I don’t know what is! All in all, my veneers look great and I even smile a the dentist’s office now!

Douglas dental is by FAR the best dentist office I have found in AZ! Ive always been less than thrilled anytime I’ve had to go to the dentist but this office has changed that! My teeth are very sensitive and cleanings can sometimes hurt. Kelsey, one of the many great dental hygienists in this office, is so gentle and thorough! The front staff is kind and welcoming. Dr. Douglas is also amazing. He fixed a tooth of mine that had trauma over 15 years ago! I had gone to two other dentists to have it evened out and neither were unsuccessful in making it look aesthetically pleasing. Dr. Douglas made it 100% better and I am so thankful! About 15 years ago, I had an accident and chipped my front tooth. The tooth next to it also had a root canal and over time it started to darken. Before I met Paul Douglas, I was having my tooth patched but it wasn’t a permanent solution. After meeting Paul and his staff, I felt confidence to go ahead and my teeth completely replaced with veneer caps. The process was awesome. Now, they look and feel amazing! All of the staff and Dr.’s were completely wonderful! I felt comfortable the moment I walked in the door. While I was filling out my paperwork, I overheard a conversation a dental hygienist was having with a mother of a 6 or 7 year old and explaining to her how her daughter did great and she just needs to do a little bit better at brushing. The time spent with the mom and the little girl outside of their appointment time makes me believe that this practice truly cares about all of their patients and dental health in general. I can’t express enough gratitude for this practice and the amazing staff. I found a practice for life and am truly happy. I have a cleaning on the 16th if this month and can’t wait to go back! There are few times in life when you meet a Doctor and team that care so much about their patients that they put your needs above their own. Douglas family dentistry is like that. Where you can go and feel co.pletely comfortable. I have been going to Dr. Douglas for over four years now. Originally, I HATED going to the dentist and didn’t go for over three years. One day I finally got fed up with the pain and made an appointment. From the moment I came in they greeted me by name and walked me through the entire process. During the cleaning, the girls were very careful to make sure my gums didn’t bleed and my head was comfortable. Once the doctor came in he said the tooth cavity was deep and I may have to have a root canal but he would try to save it. Well…..four years later and my tooth is still doing perfect! Their affordable prices also made it possible for me to begin invasalign. I highly recommend Dr. Douglas and his team if you want the best smile in Scottsdale.

I love Dr. Douglas and his staff! If you are anxious about going to the dentist, this is the place for you! Dr. Douglas made me feel at ease and I felt confident that I was in good hands after meeting with him for the first time. They offer sedation for those who are very anxious like me. I’m happy to say, that after a year of being with Dr. Douglas, I felt so comfortable with him that I had my wisdom tooth pulled(it literally took 5 min) with no sedation. This speaks volumes about how awesome of a dentist he is. In addition, the staff is so nice, the hygienists and assistants are all awesome AND they are punctual! I have been coming here for years and it’s by far the best dentist experience a person can have. The entire staff greets you and remembers you by name. When you have a billing question or insurance question or issue Mimi solves it immediately and have never had to make multiple phone calls or had frustration involved. Dr. Douglas has done tons of repairs that past dentists did poorly and work on me that has left me with no aches or pains with a Novocain process that I tell everyone asking for a dentist referral about. There is no wait for the pinch or pain involved what so ever. There has been times he doesn’t even tell me he is giving it to me and just says “lets wait for that to numb up and I will be back in a few”, no bracing for that needle to go in. Peggie has cleaned my teeth every time and always leave with no pain and a mouth feeling way more clean then when I walked in. The rest of the staff is also fantastic and it’s obvious they are treated well as employees as the faces always stay the same. I have done Invisalign with them as well which was a great experience as well. They were very accommodating on making appointments for the Invisalign follow ups and always got me in and out with no wait or delay. Not to mention how straight my teeth came out after it. I have also heard horror stories from others that have done Invisalign that they get to the end and the dentist wants to charge big prices to get the retainer that’s needed. They do not do that here and your first ones are included. I would highly recommend this dentist office to anybody. I drive from Gilbert to Scottsdale, which with Invisalign was every few weeks, and don’t think twice about it as I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else!

I have been going to this dentist office for 5 years, and I wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. Unlike other offices, I am brought back when my appointment is scheduled. And they see me right away, no waiting in the chair to be seen. The staff are wonderful, plain and simple. And the office must treat them right, as I haven’t noticed much of any turnover.
