I had my 6 month cleaning today. Christi, the hygienist, did a great job! I usually hate cleanings but she made me feel very relaxed. Dr. Downs came in and checked my teeth. She has a wonderful chair side manner! A great overall experience from office staff to hygienist and dentist. Would definitely recommend this office!

Best dentist and dental hygienist in Virginia Beach! Just left Downs Dental and had my regular check up and everyone was wearing masks and following procedures for keeping everyone safe. I see Christie as our dental hygienist and she is very friendly and great at cleaning and checking for any issues. She consistently does an outstanding job. The staff is always welcoming and friendly. The office is well organized and very nicely decorated. It was a busy morning but everything kept moving in a timely manner. My husband and I have been going to Downs Dental for some time and highly recommend Dr Downs and Christie!

I had my first appointment with Dr. Downs a little over a week ago and the truth is that I have never had such a caring, knowledgeable, and committed dentist until I came here. The office staff is absolutely amazing and they all treat you like you are their own family here. I will be taking my son here for his next dentist’s appointment. I could not have asked for a better dentist!

I have never done a review on anything in my life until now. The reason I am now is because I am extremely happy. I called scheduled and seen the doctor the same day. I was apprehensive to see a dentist because I chew tobacco and I had some problems with my teeth. I’m a grown man I know I need to quit tobacco and didn’t need a lecture she was kind and courteous I would definitely recommend to any and everybody. The staff was unbelievable like I was part of their family.

By far the best experience(s) I have ever had at any dentist office. Everyone person in this office is AMAZING! They give you great information and look at all the available options to make sure you can make an informed decision on you dental health with your wallet in mind. I’ll be a “lifer” with Downs Dental Care. No one is touching my teeth and gums except for them! Hands down the BEST in Hampton Roads!!! Thank you!!! I actually look forward to the dentist now!

We found out about Dr.Downs from our daughter . Needed a new dentist and waited till I needed one she took me as a walk I next day got me in and took care of my needs. She is very down home easy to talk to and keeps you aware of all she us doing. The rest of the staff follows her lead and present themselves very professional but treat you like family. Would I recommend them , I do every chance I get.

I had a situation on Friday afternoon with something getting hung under my permanent bridge. I called and the staff was extremely professional and caring. Gave me suggestions to try , and they suggested if I was not able to remove it they would be able to work me in at 3:30. I ended up having to go to their office. Within minutes after arriving, my issue was taken care of at no cost to me. It makes me feel good to be a part of a dentistry where their staff is very CONSISTENT and always strives to take care of your problem in a timely manner.

I love Downs dental care. Ther staff is so courteous. I will tell you a little situation Ihad. Dr. Downs was getting ready to go out of town on vacation. I called the office and told them my tooth had broken, and i did not want to have a broken tooth for the holidays. Most dentist would have told you to wait until they get back or simply just don’t answer your call. Dr. downs told me to meet her at her office and she would repair it. She did exactly what she said. I trust her . It took me a long time to find a dentist I like. After finding Dr. Downs I will never look for another dentist.

I can clearly say I’m not afraid of the dentist anymore. Thanks to Dr. Downs and Fabby. The best ever. Fabby thanks for holding my hand throughout everything! Dr. Downs you are the best so nice and gentle and always asked if I was ok. Thank you. Mr. Downs let’s go HEAT . I RECOMMEND “DOWNS DENTAL CARE”. Amazing staff. Beautiful views very elegant and cleanI love it. I couldn’t see myself anywhere else, but at DOWNS DENTAL CARE!

I was really excited when I saw the name of your dental office. Being a parent of a child with Down Syndrome, I automatically thought, Omg! How great, someone actually decided to open up a dental practice for people with special needs, YEAH!! But then I clicked on the page and saw that Down was your last name and not a practice for people with special needs. Now I’m bummed out. It is so difficult ( more than people realize) to find a compassionate and extremely patient dentist for people with special needs. In the event that you do have experience in this particular area and you except Medicaid, would you Plz post something on my fb wall? I cannot get PM’s on fb. Thank you PS. I wasn’t able to send you msg either, so I thought I would post my question to you on this “rate” option !

The Best. Dentist. Ever! All staff are exceptional including Melissa our hygienist. Brandon at the front desk is incredibly welcoming and efficient. Our entire family loves Dr. Downs. She goes above and beyond any doctor I’ve ever encountered to ensure that her patients are doing well. Her skills, care and compassion are unparalleled. 5 Stars. Highly recommend! Like

If you are looking for a dentist that knows her stuff and really cares about the quality of service you receive, seek out Dr Downs. I am thoroughly impressed with the quality of care I have received over the last few years. Additionally, my wife has a thing with needles and dental care from a dentist was the last thing on her to do list. Dr. Downs helped put her fears in abeyance and as a result she has become a regular patient. Hi highly recommend her and her staff for dental care.

I just want to say what a overall wonderful experience we just had at Downs Dental Care. From the moment we entered the beautiful office to the moment we left it was a great experience ! Unfortunately my daughter had her first cavity. Dr. Downs quickly put my daughter at ease. Her gentle touch made the cavity fix no problem . Dental visits have given me extreme anxiety since I was a kid. I hate everything from the noises and odors to the way they like to ask you questions when your jaws are propped open & you can’t properly respond. None of this is an issue at Downs Dental Care. The office is like a spa. The chairs are comfortable and face a large window looking outside to a beautiful grassy area with birds. It is actually relaxing, which is a miracle for a dentist’s office to achieve. Dr. Downs and her staff are amazing. I was so comfortable here, I finally had multiple procedures done that I had been putting off for years. Dr. Downs is so sweet and is genuinely concerned with the comfort of the patient. She asks if I am okay, explains everything as she goes along, and gives breaks if needed. She is also trustworthy, and there is no pressure for expensive procedures. She will tell you what needs to be done and what can wait. Dr. Downs is upfront about the costs, and will always provide alternatives, if available. In two years of being a customer, I have never been surprised with any fees or erroneous charges. Dr. Downs is amazing and I am so grateful that she is my children’s first dental experience. They have no fear of the dentist, and I believe it is largely because of this office. I recommend this place to everyone. If you are uncomfortable with dental visits, I believe they will change your mind.

Absolutely hands down the best dentist I have been to!! She is so gentle and genuine with her work. I had a filling replaced today and didn’t feel the needle at all. She is also excellent with children. She is the perfect dentist for yourself or your family. I refuse to go to any other dentist. Thank you for changing my dental experience!

My first visit with Dr Downs and her staff and I couldn’t be happier. I felt very comfortable the minute I walked in I met my hygienist Tina and she was awesome, the best I’ve had, ever. She was kind, informative and made me feel very relaxed. Dr Downs finished my exam and was very understanding of my needs and concerns and what I felt was best for me in terms of some alternative choices I could have in my dental care. So happy to find this practice!!!

Like many I have always dreaded dental work, but my mindset changed recently at Downs Dentistry. The atmosphere is more like a comfortable home than an office. I was welcomed with a smile and was surprised when Mr. Downs came out to greet me and take me through the ‘first patient visit’ procedure himself. It was all done on an IPad making it quick and simple. I then went directly back to an exam room ( no typical 20-40 min wait ) and was greeted by a hygienist who was friendly, courteous and made me feel comfortable instantly by telling me exactly what was going to happen before every step. I heard Dr Downs is the best and I soon found out why. Dr Downs spent more time with me than any other Dentist. She examined, explained and discussed a plan to get my teeth healthy. All while being very gentle and professional. Unfortunately I have to return for more work but it will be the first time with no hesitation.

Downs Dental is the best dental office in Hampton Roads. A friend / co worker referred me over a year ago and I have had the best experience every visit. The staff is awesome, courteous and polite. I learned today that Brandon is leaving the state and it crushed my soul. I wish him nothing but the best and safe travels on his new journey. Thanks Downs Dental for everything! All of you ROCK!!!!!

My first visit to Downs Dental was yesterday after several years of going to another practice. The entire staff was warm, pleasant, and professional. Made me feel most wecome and comfortable. Facility is very nice and made for a relaxing visit. My hygenist and Dr. Downs were thorough, knowledgeable, and gentle. I highly recommend Downs Dental and am glad I found them.

LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING! This is the only dentist I’ve ever been to in my LIFE that I actually TRUST cleaning my teeth, whether I have my braces on or braces off, they always do a good job there taking care of their patients. I love how the dentist always talks to the patient and honestly makes the whole process not painful one bit. I actually CAN say I love going to the dentist again! Highly consider going here again, 5/5 stars! ☺️
