I hate the dentist and have dreaded going my entire life. Dr. Azer was the first dentist to change my outlook. She was kind, gentle and thorough. She didn’t try to upsell me either. She explained everything to me and made teeth cleaning as comfortable as possible. In fact, it was the least painful teeth cleaning I’ve ever experienced. Dr. Azers’ office is clean and has technology that I hadn’t experienced until visiting her practice. I was happy to find there’s new digital xray options. The piece that goes in your mouth is much smaller and doesn’t slice the inside of your mouth while holding it in for xrays. I will be returning to Dr. Azer’s in a couple of weeks for another procedure but I won’t go in timidly as I did today. Dr. Azer even sent me away with a goodie bag; I haven’t received one of these since I was a child! I was even thinking, I need to buy a new toothbrush, now she has saved me the trip. Thank you Dr. Azer for a great experience.

I am so happy with Dr. Azer’s work! Before finding her I was so terrified and practically traumatized by previous dentists that I’ve been to. Dr. Azer explained the treatment I needed, the procedure that would take place and the cost. I felt the cost was fair for the amount of work I needed. After she completed majority of the work (it was a lot of work!!!) I felt much more confident with going to the dentist and I decided to get the invisalign treatment. Again she explained the process and we got started right away. I’m not done with the invisalign just yet, but I already see the improvement of straighter teeth and my gums are much healthier than when I first came to Dr. Azer. I have been seeing Dr. Azer for about 8 years. I hadn”t visited a dentist in quite a while before coming here and my teeth needed a lot of procedures to get them back into shape. If you are looking to make your teeth transform into the set of straight teeth you have always wanted go see Dr. Azer at her two locations in Newport and Downey. Not only will she straighten your teeth but she also provides the best customer service there is from giving out dentist bags almost every visit with all the materials you need to keep a clean mouth and always keeping you updated for your appointments. First off I’m terrified of dentists and needles. However I have decided to get Invisalign (clear aligners). Dr. Azer will have to remove an out of alignment molar first though. She assures me it won’t hurt, by the way my initial exam went, I believe her comment. The exam was actually relaxing, she is very gentle but precise and thorough. Part of the jaw exam was so pleasant that it felt like a massage. I wanted her to keep doing it. She is very friendly while still being very professional and treated me like a VIP. I initially came in to see Dr. Azer with regards to a tooth requiring a root canal – which needless to say is not something I was looking forward to. Dr. Azer and her staff quickly put me at ease throughout the whole procedure. When I mentioned to Dr. Azer that I was unhappy with my front teeth – they had numerous fillings which were badly stained, making my smile unattractive. After years of going to several dentist, I’ve finally found the perfect dentist. From the moment I walked in to the office and was greeted by the friendly office staff to the time I received my exam & treatment, I felt very at ease & confident that I was in good hands. Not to mention purposefully gentle, so much so that I was able to put my headphones on during major treatments & fall asleep without any sleeping medications.
