Best dentist I’ve ever been to. I’ve had really bad experiences at dentists in the past. I had really bad baby teeth, so I was at the dentist a lot as a kid. I also apparently have nerves that run close to the surface of my teeth, so almost every time I’ve had something done on my teeth, I felt pain. Dr. Carter and the staff at Elm Creek are top notch, and for the first time in my life, I have had pain free dental visits with a combination of Novocaine and Nitrous. I also now use Nitrous with my cleanings to calm my anxiety about going to the dentist.

Fantastic Dentist! Wonderful staff! I have been to many dentists in my life and never have I had such a positive, professional, gentle experience! I have double the nerve endings in my body, so I feel pain twice as strongly as others; thus, the need for a lot more anesthetic. Let me preface this by saying I have a serious fear when it comes to going to the dentist. But my hygienist, Mary, has almost gotten me over that. She is amazingly good at what she does and keeps it as quick and painless as possible. Plus I love the fact that Dr. Carter keeps up to date on technology – they have a fabulous computer software to show you exactly what your teeth look like, history of your visits, etc. (Yep, I’m a computer nerd and I’m impressed.) I will probably never look forward to going to the dentist, but every time I come out of Elm Creek Dental I think “that wasn’t too bad” — which is HUGE for me! =)

I was on the “once a decade” plan but after meeting Jackie and Dr. Carter I’m a regular every 6 month person with them now. Jackie was awesome during that first cleaning taking extra care to make it as pleasant as possible. The high tech stuff is really amazing. I love the full color image documentation of my teeth and gums when necessary and it is visible right there on a big screen at the foot of your chair! This works well as Dr. Carter is very hands on and likes to teach. I also like scheduling my next appt right while I am sitting in the chair! The massage chair in the lobby is nice and so is the coffee machine which also makes hot tea, hot cider and hot chocolate. I like them so well that I have changed my husband and son over to seeing them as well.

I usually don’t write reviews but had to for Elm Creek Dental. I was experiencing very bad pain and was in between jobs so my family and I had to change dentists. I called ECD because of the reviews and mentioned my pain – they got me in the next morning. Dr. Carter performed a root canal on me that needed to be done ASAP. It was my first ever root canal, but it was a breeze. I didn’t experience any pain or discomfort. He also personally called me later that day to check on me. Extremely happy with this place!

My 14 year old Daughter and I are both very nervous about getting Novacaine The staff there was absolutely terrific taking the time to use a Topical numbing agent and slowly giving the Novacaine shot so you don’t even feel it!! I have horrible teeth and have been to many dentists that make me feel uncomfortable and leave me with no hope. Dr. Carter is so great, he’s great at explaining exactly what i should be doing to take better care of my mouth/gums/teeth etc. They are very accomodating for emergency issues, unlike many dentists i’ve been to. I just love this place (and I’m not a big fan of dentist) from beginning to end I am treated with dignity and respect. They are gentle and make you feel comfortable. Mary is my favorite Dental hygienist but I’m sure they are all amazing. She was the first person to ever tell Me I should be using a special toothpaste for my crowns/bridges so I don’t scratch them! Thank you!! This week I ran into a dental Emergency… their office was booked but Dr carter gladly took me either on his lunch break or after hours to help address problem area. On a busy emergency type Monday, Dr. Carter and all Dental Hygienists’ worked together as a team and efficiently took care of all of us. I had a permanent crown within a 2 hr timeframe and they took care of the regularly scheduled patients too. Amazing how this place rocks! They use state of the art technology. The entire office is professional, caring/kind, and best of all, the pricing is very fair. I have high regard for Dr Carter and team. They are gentle, reassuring, and compassionate. Dr. Carter and the staff are a great team. They do a very thorough job and they are very kind. They are very intelligent people who are very passionate about helping people. Their dentistry changed my life because not only do my teeth look great, I can actually eat without difficulty for a long time. I got kicked in the face by a horse a while back, and a lot of my teeth got damaged. Dr. Carter made it possible for me to get a temporary retainer with teeth attached to it, which saved my dignity and self-esteem. The ambience was also great – never been to a dental office where TV distracts me as work is being done so based on this and other observations it seems to me that they care about the patients comfort! Much better compared to my last dentist. It was just my first visit. Hopefully my returns are the same but I would definitely recommend this place. The entire staff at Elm Creek Dental made her feel comfortable right from the time we entered the lobby and she was a bit nervous at first. I had a tooth crown break during after hours, and was trying to figure out what to do late in the day with short term notice. I called Dr Carter on his cell phone, he instructed me to send a smart phone photo of the broken tooth. He gave me great short term advice, then worked me into his schedule the next morning. His service was over and above the call of duty. His staff also was friendly and professional, Vicky had my insurance estimates in no time flat. His professionalism is top notch!
