If you are uninsured or don’t want to use your insurance, Dr Stenger has reasonable first time prices and a no pressure atmosphere that should be considered. I came in for a cleaning only as my former dentist (located near a FedEx strip mall up the road) overbills my insurance and has high prices. I worked as a Dental Lab assistant for my DDS/Orthodontist while in college and use that experience to set expectations. Dr Stenger performs the bulk of cleaning herself which I appreciated and prefer over a random hygienist. Her assessment on my xray was about 90 percent spot on. The DA/Hygenist handled the prophy that could be a bit better. I’m under the impression this office is limited to basic and common needs that most patients will be happy with. Ortho work is likely referred out. Dr Stenger has a very humble attitude on initial consultation. I was in a rush and didn’t chat much but I will call her in future for a followup cleaning if needed based on her attitude. I left happy. As someone mentioned, she does use ultrasonic which I also don’t prefer but am not against. My assumption is this is for quicker or more accurate methods but it’s something I’ll ask my family dentist/college employer about sometime.

Recently on January 13th, 2018 I was awakened with diabolical nerve pain in my # 19 molar. I placed an emergency call to the office and in less than 5 minutes, at 7:35 AM on a Saturday, Dr. Flora Stenger, owner of the practice no less), called me back with advice as the how to deal with my pain. Dr. Stenger calmed me down and was so sweet and caring that I already was feeling better. Dr. Stenger called in some prescriptions ASAP. All patients are made to feel as if we were part of the family. The chair side assistants are also extraordinary namely Nancy, Roya and Trina. Words cannot describe how satisfied I am with Flora Stenger and her team. My wife and I have been living in the US for nearly three years so far, and we’ve been trying to find a good dentist since then. We both needed some work done. Every time we tried to approach a dentist, they’ve always sounded salesy, and they’ve always tried to do more work than we needed. Dentists should not sound like car salespeople; it’s freaking unbelievable how hard it is to find an honest dentist! We finally ended up with doctor Stenger and her team, and they were great. From the very beginning, they created a plan how to get all the work done, and we never felt pushed into doing something we are not comfortable with. They were also calling the insurance companies themselves to find out what are the best routes to get the work done. All the work they did was excellent, and we totally recommend them. I received a appointment in 1 day to fix a tooth I broke figuring I would have to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars for a crown. Dr. Stenger fixed it with a filling…it looks as good as new. Luckily in my life I haven’t needed to see many dentists, except for regular cleaning and check ups, but after my move to California from the east coast, I unfortunately needed more care. After years of not going to the dentist (my excuse was being busy but really I’m not a lover of going to the dentist)… I started getting tooth pain and decided it was time to go in. I did some searching and couldn’t be happier to have found Dr. Stenger. I was able to schedule time with her that week – during my first visit, it was clear how knowledgable she is – she quickly found that in addition to a small cavity, I had an old partial crown that needed to be replaced. She was incredibly detailed in explaining what needed to be done and why, but she didn’t push me to do anything that wasn’t necessary (as had been my experience in the past with a different dentist). She was able to get everything done very quickly within just 2 visits – and was sweet, professional, and very gentle. I had a great experience and will definitely be going back to Dr. Stenger for anything that needs to be done in the future!
