My family is relieved and ecstatic we have Dr. Chang and his awesome staff as our dentist. We have been cared for by many dentists. Dr. Chang is the best dentist in Orange County. His office is clean and has up to date equipment which is very important. Dr. Chang makes you feel like you are important to him and he truly wants you to feel comfortable with your treatment. I have not been in an office that works as well as his. Dr. Chang’s staff treats everyone with kindness and respects all patients. I’m no longer white knuckle it to the dentist and I do not get nervous or upset while I’m in the office. Dr. Chang and his staff are WONDERFUL!

Dr. Chang and his staff have gone above and beyond to help with my Grandma’s teeth. She has a few health problems that prevent her body from healing properly. A simple cut can cause her to bleed profusely. This is a challenge for most of the dentists that saw her in the past. They tend to give her a very vague cleaning yearly and won’t address any deterioration since they said it’s beyond their scope of practice. They kept punting her off to see specialists and even the specialists constantly reschedule her so they don’t have to deal with it. Dr. Chang is the only doctor who saw her as a patient who needs help and not as a burden or a liability. In today’s litigious society, trust me, this speaks volumes. He was patient, kind, and extremely attentive. He was able to successfully address all of her problems, one by one. It took over a year for him to correct all of her teeth issues. He never showed any signs of frustration or annoyance even when her healing was acting up. His staff is extremely helpful with assisting us in dealing with insurances since they didn’t want to pay for a lot of the procedure. Honestly I don’t know what we would have done if we didn’t find this office.

I haven’t been to the dentist in a while and after a mishap with one of my molars, I went to see Dr Chang. I was expecting bad news and a great deal of pain. I got some bad news but surprisingly, no pain. He had me patched up and ready to go in a short amount of time and barely experienced any discomfort. He paid close attention to my reactions and was meticulous with my teeth. Also, due to the way they do scheduling, I’ve never had to wait. I really like it here and I think I’m going to be a patient here for a long time.

I haven’t seen a dentist in over 5 years and was looking for a place to go. I saw Dr. Chang over the weekend for a check-up and some fillings. I could not have had a better experience. He was very thorough with all his explanations and procedures. I felt completely at ease, the whole time. The office is completely state-of-the-art. Everything is digital and modern. You really feel like you are being taken care of here.

When it came to treatment, everything was completely painless. Allison does a great job with the assisting as well. Usually, when I get fillings done, they are sensitive for a while. But, my fillings felt perfectly fine right away. You can tell he puts a lot of care into his work. I definitely felt the comfort and care at Formosa Dental Arts. My family and I will be coming here from now on!

Dr. Chang is the most caring, understanding and patient dentist I have seen in my 66 years years. He really knows what he is doing and I feel very confident in his care. Allison, the Doc’s right hand gal, is awesome. She runs his office and assists during procedures with perfection and warmth. Stop looking, you will be content with Formosa.

Dr. Chang is an amazing Dentist, ever since I was growing up my biggest fear was going to see the dentist, however Dr. Chang changed all that for me. My teeth is gone through a lot with Dr. Chang. he has done 3 crowns, and a couple of fillings during my visit. This whole process went very well as Dr. Chang helped me relax and reassure me this will go very smoothly without much pain. I was in that chair for a long time but Dr. Chang has a lot of Patience for me, and I can tell he is very detailed and takes a lot of pride in his work. His assistant and Dr Chang makes a great team and truly cares about my dental health.  I got a nice lesson on how to take better care of my mouth and give tips on how to avoid further cavities so the next time I come in for my yearly dental check-up will be the routine dental deep cleaning. 🙂

We were referred to DR Chang by a very close friend. My daughter and I went in today for her exam. The facility was very clean and modern .
Allison  (front desk) was very welcoming and polite. She was very thorough with the whole process. Dr Chang exceeded our expectations. He was very professional. He took his time to explain every step and procedure. We will definitely recommend Dr Chang to our family and friends.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Chang for about two years now and he’s far and away the best dentist I’ve ever been to. I had always dreaded going to the dentist, but Dr. Chang and his staff make you feel completely at ease. My visits have all been pain free and I also appreciate how helpful both he and the rest of the staff have been. Dr Chang is hands down the best dentist I’ve been to. After my search for a good dentist, I finally found someone who is as detail oriented, clean, gentle, and knowledgeable when working on your teeth. I got my crown replaced the other day and I’m super happy with my new crown, it’s so much better than my previous crown. Many thanks to Dr Chang.

Very clean, very professional.  Equipment used are all latest technology.   Friendly staff from front desk to everyone you met in hallway & examination room.  Got teeth cleaned today,  hygienist hands so light & tender.  I almost fall into sleep.  & Dr. Chen was so nice & polite, he treat you like part of the family.  He is very knowledgeable, detailed & gave you a complete report with graphics after examination so you understand the problem completely.  Give this place a try.  You will know this is absolutely the BEST dental office in Irvine.

I began going to Formosa and seeing Dr. Chang a couple months ago and everybody is extremely nice and helpful.

Before any procedures like cleanings and checkups occur everything will be explained to you like the cost, what the procedure is, and why they’re doing it. They will explain the results to you and what you need to do when you go home.

The office is clean, new, and full of technology. It is super easy to get appointments and I have never had a scheduling problem. Would totally recommend if you’re looking for a new dentist!

I have definitely found my new dentist! I had my first exam here today(…). I loved how the dentist took the time to explain and show me everything he was seeing. His personality was so kind and sincere, something I hadn’t had from a dentist in a long time! 100% recommend.

I’m glad to have found such an amazing dentist. Having not been to the dentist in a while I was unfortunate enough to require a root canal but it was nearly painless to my surprise. Dr. Chang did an amazing job along with the help of his awesome dental assistant 🙂

Compared to previous dentist offices this one was by far the most impressive, very clean and professional. This was the second dentist I had gone to due to a friend’s recommendation for a second opinion and this office definitely was a better choice!

Dr. Chang is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and honest. He even saw me on his off time on urgent cases. He cares about his patients and will not up-sell you on unnecessary work. His office is super clean and you will feel at ease. I highly recommend this place!

I had a pretty bad tooth sensitivity with cold/hot water. Called Dr. Chang’s office and he was able to see me very last minute and worked with my insurance situation.

My first impression of Dr. Chang was that he genuinely cares about his patients. He provided me with a generous consultation and wanted to make sure we can pin point where my pain was. Dr. Chang was also very honest. He took several xray of my teeth and every seems to look normal. And he was right, within 3 days the pain just went away.

(…)I went for my checkup and cleaning a couple weeks ago, and I just got back today after my first round of fillings. I honestly was not scared during either visit, which is a first for me. Dr. Chang was really nice and he explains everything he’s doing as he works. And even getting the fillings was surprisingly painless. Although it’s definitely uncomfortable to be lying with your mouth open and full of dental tools, I think the fact that I was still getting kind of sleepy says a lot about how gentle the procedures were. Most importantly, nobody made me feel like a disgusting beast for avoiding the dentist for a super long time (I’m too embarrassed to say how long, but it was LONG) (…).
