I had been seeing Dr MacGeorge for 30 years so when he sold the office to Dr Gentling I was naturally unsettled and wondered if it was time to find a dentist closer to home.  I have had four visits to the office now and am completely impressed.  The staff are professional and they have good communication and an easy banter with the doctor.  Dr Gentling is patient, gentle (doesn’t he have a great name!) and thorough.  My biannual checkups went smoothly but I was motivated to write this review after I had a crown placed on the tooth.  The two step procedure went off without a hitch.  There was very little discomfort because they use a topical gel before they use the anesthesia. Dr Gentling and the hygienist were calming and sure of themselves which relaxed me which is hard to do in a dentist’s chair!  The crown is perfect – the color is great and it is smooth.  Exactly as a crown should be.  They were even able to adjust my bite block so that it still fit.  I’ll be with Dr Gentling for the next 30 years!

I’ve been with this practice for more than 10 years. The staff is professional, friendly and knowledgeable. The hygienists and Dr. Gentling all do a great job and they take time to thoroughly answer questions. The front office staff is very helpful when appointment conflicts come up and always try to accommodate patient requests.

My family and I have been going to this dental office my whole life — even as a little kid, I never dreaded going to the dentist because of how well they take care of their patients. The same receptionists and hygienists have been here for so long which is a testament to how well the employees are taken care of too. Great family feel — 10/10!

This was my first time coming to Gentling Smiles & I had such an amazing experience! From the time I walked into the office, the front desk receptionist was so kind, warm & had great energy. The waiting area was super clean, welcoming and they had comfy chairs Joi did such a great job taking my X-ray’s & explaining the pictures to me and did good job cleaning my teeth she was gentle and it was pain free. On top of it she hooked me up with a bag of goodies to take home Dr.Gentling is amazing!! Very professional & made me feel at ease since I was nervous on going to the dentist from past experiences…he answered all my questions I had and gave me honest answers. Dr.Gentling made my experience so easy and enjoyable hands down my favorite Dr.!!! I felt so well taken care of during my visit. The whole team was wonderful I can’t recommend Dr.Gentling and his team enough!!! I left with a big smile on my face I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place & look forward to my next visit!

I’ve been going to Gentling Smiles since Garrett became the residential dentist there. He is compassionate, kind and highly educated in dentistry. Everytime I visit him, I learn something new, and he never judges me in my failings. Heidi who works there is one of the most friendly and empathetic employees I’ve met.. She is down to earth and taught me a lot about dental care. Highly, highly recommend this place for someone looking for a safe, experienced dentistry, full of amazing people!

Best move I recently made was switching to Gentling Smiles. Very professional and welcoming staff. Dr Gentling is highly skilled and puts you immediately at ease. Heidi the hygienist is top notch, she is incredibly thorough. She explains, teaches, and makes sure you are completely comfortable. I already booked my next visit and have zero reservations about recommending them to anyone!

I recently switched to here from somewhere else. Everyone was super friendly, from the front desk staff to Dr. Gentling himself! I appreciated how easy it was to schedule and receiving text reminders. The hygienist was friendly and thorough and made the experience comfortable. I needed new retainers and Garrett helped me pick the best option for me without pushing the more expensive option. Overall it has been a great experience there!

I’ve always felt nervous going to the dentist but the staff at Dr. Gentling’s office are so nice, warm and friendly that I no longer worry. Dr. Gentling is very nice, and takes his time to explain everything to his patients when coming up with a treatment plan. The staff at Dr. Gentling are amazing. As soon as you walk in through the doors the receptionist greet you with a smile and they call you by name. The hygienists and dental assistants are knowledgeable. Dr. Gentling is very thorough, and he answers all questions asked honestly. I enjoy going to Gentling Smiles. I recommend it to anyone that is looking for dentist.

Don’t let the traditional medical/dental office building fool you, this practice is vibrant, innovative and state of the art! The entire staff is friendly and helpful, professional and knowledgeable. Dr. Gentling has a very calm, capable demeanor and goes out of his way to explain procedures, options, etc. Very happy with the care my entire family receives here.

My family and I have been patients at this office for my entire life. I am genuinely excited for my dentist appointments because every single staff member is so friendly and welcoming. I have never had a bad experience there in 17 years. I really appreciate how the dentists will tell you what they’re doing in your mouth before they do it, each step of the way. They’re always gentle and they always make sure you’re comfortable throughout the process of your appointment. Just overall very kind, caring people! I walk in smiling and I leave smiling even bigger. 🙂

Yesterday was my first visit to Gentling Smiles and I was so impressed with the professional care I received from Dr. Gentling and his staff that it made my experience to the dentist a happy one! I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Garrett Gentling for almost a year after he returned from Hawaii where he was previously working.  As a dentist myself, I know first hand how talented, intelligent, and professional Dr. Gentling is.  Due to his higher skill level and advanced training, he surgically placed all the implants for the office.  He was also the only dentist in the office delivering Botox to patients.  If you’re looking for an intelligent (graduated in the top of his class) and extremely skilled and talented dentist, Dr. Gentling is the right choice for you and your family.

Like most people, I’m not a big fan of having work done on my teeth. I had chemically bonded teeth since I was 17 and they were stained. Badly needed repair! Dr. Gentling and Bobbie as well as all of the staff are the kindest and most comfortable staff I have ever experienced in a dental office. High tech equipment and gentle, professional work were the big bonuses. I am so pleased with the Pro job done on my porcelain veneers and the informative service before and during the process. I highly recommend getting your veneers or any dentistry done here – regardless of where you live!

This is by far the best Dentist and the best Staff in the entire city. My husband who is a doctor and myself, have been coming to this dentist practice for over 25 years. Dr. MacGeorge retired, keeping the same wonderful staff and bringing on Dr. Gentling to replace him. You could not ask for a better Dentist or staff. Anyone who says different must be crazy in the head. He just finished a very challenging and difficult procedure with a bridge between my two implants. Now, it’s absolutely perfect. Dr. Gentling took his time, and being the professional he is, went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect and precise before finishing the job. This took time with the Lab, called and discussed options with me. Most dentists would of never given me the attention to detail like Dr. Gentling did. He is a wonderful dentist and caring person who is extremely persistent on achieving perfection. His staff has advanced customer service abilities as well as, knowledgeable. They are a blessing to me.

Dr Gentling and his staff are very welcoming and friendly. The cleanings I’ve received have been very thorough and extensive. I like that there’s no pressure to get procedures that I don’t necessarily need right now. I was given the information I needed to make an informed decision. Highly recommend this dental office.

Gentling Smiles may as well be renamed Gentle Smiles! Dr. Gentling and his staff are excellent and have a great touch. I’ve never had a problem with going to the dentist, but I was slightly afraid having to go see a new dentist for the first time in my life. Luckily, I chose the correct replacement! The welcoming desk, the hygienists, and Dr. Gentling create a warm and inviting environment that should help anyone that may have a fear of going to the dentist. Added bonus is Stella the office dog who is the cutest french bulldog you will ever see!

I have been going to this office for a long time. When Dr. Macgeorge retired I was sorry to see him go, but have been pleased to continue with Dr. Gentling. I have been very happy with the dental hygienists there (my teeth have some tricky issues) including a new hygienist I saw today, and with the care of Dr. Gentling.

Dr Gentling and his staff are the best.  Heidi and Charlie are not only knowledgeable and talented hygienist but very pleasant to be around.  The front office staff is efficient while making you feel that they not only want to help you but are enthusiastic while doing so.  This is a new dental experience for me, Dr Gentling does not “up sell” or try to push unnecessary procedures.  He is confident and certainly gives you a sense of ease and makes you look forward to your next appointment.  This was the best most thorough teeth cleaning I have ever received.  I highly recommend this dental practice Gentling Smiles!
