Dr. Emily Steele grew up in Potomac, Maryland. She attended the University of Maryland, College Park where she majored in Biological Sciences. During her undergraduate years, she volunteered at Georgetown Dental where she discovered her passion for dentistry. Dr. Steele completed her dental education and training at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry. During her time in school she enjoyed volunteering in the Baltimore community. She was one of the few students selected to participate in a clerkship that provided comprehensive general and cosmetic dental treatment to domestic violence survivors. She was also a member of the American Academy of Women Dentists and is continuing her membership and participation. After receiving her D.D.S. degree, Dr. Steele returned to Georgetown Dental to share her passion for dentistry with her patients. She is trained in the latest dental technology and techniques, and is excited to bring that knowledge to Georgetown Dental. Dr. Steele believes in providing outstanding comprehensive dental care. She is an advocate of overall health and focuses on preventative care so her patients can maintain healthy beautiful smiles for life. She is passionate about learning and recognizes the value of continuing education and staying current with the technological advances in the field of dentistry. Dr. Steele has many interests outside of dentistry including fitness, yoga, and cooking. She also enjoys traveling, finding new restaurants, and discussing movies and tv shows.

Dr. Steele is my normal dentist and does a great job everytime I come in for either a cleaning or cavity work. And recently I had to get my wisdom teeth removed so Dr. Davis had to do the procedure. A wonderful, great job no infection, quick and professional job, highly recommend, my bottom two teeth were extremely impacted and he did a great job. Both are extremely nice and welcoming and the staff is always pleasent.

Dr. Steele is the best! I got into a car accident two years ago that broke my two front teeth. After years of trying to find a doctor who could help me find the best permanent solution for this problem (and not just sell me expensive veneers that would be a temporary fix at best), a coworker recommended Dr. Steele. He assessed the situation and guided me through the process of getting crowns, including working with my insurance company and healthcare FSA. When I had another recent problem with them, during an international work trip, Dr. Steele came in at 7:30pm to do an emergency root canal. His staff also is friendly and efficient for regular cleanings. It’s a family practice with a family feel, and they go out of their way to help you. He is professional, accomodating and kind. I haven’t found a better dentist in D.C.! Pro: there’s a stop for the D6 bus directly across from the office. You can also take any of the shuttle buses from Dupont Circle to Georgetown University Hospital and walk the remaining half mile or so to Dr. Steele’s office. Pro: Jetty’s deli is next door.

I was a patient of Dr Steele’s however in 2015 was told by Susan the receptionist that he was on a leave of absence. At that point I started seeing Dr Davis and very grateful I switched. His bedside manors are wonderful, his work is outstanding and he demonstrates professionalism. I am very grateful that Dr Davis has been my dentist and will absolutely stick with him. Definitely “would not” go back to Dr Steele!

Great Dentist! In November 2012, I had gone to see Dr. Steele because of the good reviews and he is a truly great dentist. I was scared of dentists after my last visit to a different location, but Dr. Steele was gentle with my cleaning. He asked what music I liked and turned on Madonna for me during the checkup/cleaning. Will be coming back soon!

I haven’t been to the dentist in awhile and called with dental pain. Managed to get me in same day and not only gave me a comfortable and pain free treatment but, even gave me an after hours number incase of any complications! He walked me through step by step what was going on and not only reassured me but also answered any questions I had along the way. He went into detail about the treatment plan he recommended and consistently checked in during treatment. I cannot speak highly enough about Georgetown Dental and the treatment I received there. Truly changed my outlook on going to the dentist! Would recommend to anyone and everyone considering dental care.

Had a great first visit with Georgetown Dental today. Dr. Emily Steele was so kind and knowledgeable. She even took the time to walk through what different things meant on my dental x-rays, so I feel more knowledgeable for future dentist appointments. Her staff was also wonderful; the receptionist was kind enough to ask about my day and how the visit went and seemed genuinely caring. I am a bit dentist-anxious, so all of these extra touches of care and consideration went a long way.

Dr. Steele has been my dentist for the past 5 years. He is very good at painless root canals and is willing to schedule last minute appointments whenever I was unable to make it in a more convenient time. He is great! I highly reccommend him, and also would like to point out that other dentists that have done cleanings complimented the work that Dr. Steele has performed.
