This dental office should most definitely have more reviews than they do because they are simply amazing. I have only lived in Nashville a few short months and went to a dentist near my home which I did not like. So, I started asking around for a dentist in the area and Germantown Dental came HIGHLY recommended! I decided to give them a try since they came with such high recommendations and I needed that because I am typically scared of the dentist. This was the BEST dental experience I have ever had. The office is in a quaint neighborhood and has such character inside. The check in process was easy and quick. Jessica did my cleaning and let me tell you she has the most gentle approach! I will forever see her! I could not even tell she was doing the cleaning that is how gentle she was. Looked in the mirror though and sure enough you could see a huge difference. The dentist himself was very friendly and had an incredible bedside manner. He made me feel comfortable and explained everything in detail in such a way to make sure I understood. He referred me to an oral surgeon and walked me through the pros and cons from his point of view and helped talked me through the fears I have of going. If you are looking for a dental office anywhere in the Nashville area – I assure you THIS IS THE PLACE!!!! Thank you Germantown Dental!!!

I had a great first experience at Germantown Dental. Friendly, efficient, clean, and convenient! Would 100% recommend. The only thing I didn’t love was that I received many, many text messages leading up to my appointment asking if I’d like to come in at a different time instead. I appreciate them wanting to offer a sooner appointment, but I scheduled my appointment date purposely and found the texts unnecessary. This was still just a very small annoyance – was very happy overall and will absolutely be back!

Wonderful experience with a dentist and his staff. We think most people have a dislike about seeing a dentist, but my husband and I will indeed be looking forward to our next visit. Wonderful group of kind and friendly people and we would absolutely recommend to anyone who is looking for a new or more efficient dentist and his staff. Great customer service, very sensitive to patient pain, and cute relaxed atmosphere in an old house! I hadn’t been to the dentist in quite a while but they didn’t make me feel bad about it. They said they were glad I was there now and recommended a check up every four months. Great place! Accepts Cigna.

I’ve had cleanings and fillings so far and Dr. Callum and the team do an amazing job! Professional, friendly, and both front office and dental staff are always so great about explaining everything that’s going on, describing what is and isnt covered, and just being very transparent about what’s going on. Before my filling, I basically asked for Dr. Callum to explain how he knew I had a cavity, and he was so gracious about showing me what he saw on the xray and what he could see/feel on my tooth itself. Would definitely recommend!

Best dental experience I have ever had! I’ve never experienced a more top notch experience from check in, to cleaning, to cavity fillings. The entire staff at Germantown Dental is beyond kind, caring, and super patient with a person like me who has been traumatized by past dental experiences. Cannot say enough wonderful things about Germantown Dental. They go above and beyond to make your experience seamless and comfortable!

I love this place! Definitely ask for Megan for your hygienist. My teeth have never been so clean and she’s super nice. And Dr. Kellum is great too. I casually mentioned as small issue I was having with a crown he put in a while back. And by small issue, I mean insignificant and nothing that he did wrong. I was just feeling needy at the time. Anyway, he said let’s fix it because any problem of yours is a problem of mine. It’s refreshing to know that doctors are out there who really want to make things right!

I just had zoom whitening for the first time. It was a great experience and already showing nice results! The staff took time to educate me on the process and make sure I was comfortable. I have fairly sensitive gums and care was taken to protect them prior to starting the whitening. I cannot recommenced Germantown Dental for your dental needs enough!

I am a new patient at Germantown Dental and just had my first appointment. Dr. Kellum and his staff were all very friendly and I felt totally comfortable there the entire time. Also, as I don’t have dental insurance, I appreciate the fact that they offer a couple of Healthsure plans that make my dental care more affordable.

I had an amazing experience at Germantown Dental. The office is in a converted home in the quickly developing Germantown neighborhood; very convenient for those that work downtown (it took me about 4 minute drive to get there from 4th and Union). The entire staff was so friendly and helpful during my entire visit (a routine cleaning) and immediately made me feel like they had been seeing me for years. They address any/all problem areas and are extremely reasonable in price of services. Dr. Kellum did a great job putting this group together and I’d recommend them to anyone who’s looking for a great dental experience.

I had went to another dentist where I was given a 3000 dollar quote and told I had to get a crown. I came here and learned that I could just get a filling instead. Not only would I have wasted 3000 dollars, Germantown dental saved my tooth!!! So instead of another fake crown in my mouth, they were able to preserve my natural tooth. I would recommend anyone to come here atleast for a second opinion. They are not profit driven, and sincerely care about your wellbeing.

Granted, I have a very excitable 5-year-old, but she actually thanked me for letting her go to the dentist this morning. She also told me that it was one of her favorite days of the year. I don’t know what this says about my parenting, but it does show just how nice, kind, and welcoming Dr. Jim, Jessica, and the rest of the team at Germantown Dental are. Thank you for making my daughters feel excited about going to the dentist!

I was visiting Nashville and had an emergency. I called and they were able to get me in and fix me up! I shared that I was visiting different places around the area and the Dr. wrote me a list of places to visit…which we did and they were awesome! Excellent experience. Professional, kind, and affordable. Thank you!!

Love Dr. Jim and his team, both pre and amidst COVID.  They’ve taken a ton of steps to make sure they have a protocol where both the staff and patients feel safe.  Breathed a giant sigh of relief when I confirmed that they’re still in-network during an upcoming workplace benefits change!

I went in to see itzel! She was so thorough and explained everything to me!  She was super gentle, and informative while I had a teeth cleaning. She answered questions about Invisalign and electric toothbrushes. I would definitely recommend this location and itzel to anyone needing dental cleaning or work!  Quick and painless! It was actually a bit difficult to find because it blends into the neighborhood so well, something that is rare these days. As you walk through the unique door, it’s clear that the historic house has had many uses over the past years; history runs deep throughout the exposed brick, original hardwood, and detailed millwork. You are warmly welcomed by the delightful Erika. Refreshments, including coffee, are available, as is ample sunlight through the Victorian windows. All of the staff is kind and professional. Since Dr. Kellum does not have a habit of buying expensive boats and imported German Shepherds, he is able to provide more reasonable prices than much of the competition. It’s clear that this old house has found it’s final use, because Germantown Dental is a community mainstay. Dr. Kellum has built a great practice.

I started going to Germantown Dental several years ago when I moved to Germantown. I continue to see them now that I’ve moved to east because they are just fantastic. Dr. Kellum is very kind and explains everything he’s doing to make sure there is no discomfort. The hygienists are also lovely and do a great job with cleanings and x rays, and parking is usually pretty easy. Highly recommend!

Recently had the pleasure of getting a cleaning and exam here at German Town Dental. The environment is professional but relaxing; it’s a nice change of pace to have a dental office that’s not all white walls and freezing cold air. My prior dentist required more x-rays and I always left with my mouth feeling sore. The hygienist who did my cleaning (I think her name was Itzel) was quick and light with her hands which made the experience a lot less uncomfortable for me. I haven’t had my treatment completed yet, but feeling comfortable in the office is a big deal for me and I can tell I’m going to like this office.

My experience at Germantown Dental was very positive. Right from the start, Erika, the receptionist was warm and welcoming. The ambiance created was pleasant and relaxing ~ definitely a dental anxiety diffuser. Everyone was friendly, courteous, and very professional Jessica, the hygienist, thoroughly and gently cleaned my teeth and explained all that she was about to do. She also provided suggestions and instructions to better care for my teeth ~ ones that no hygienist or dentist had ever told me. So knowledgeable and thorough. Last, but assuredly, not least, Dr. Kellum is very nice and corroborated all of Jessica’s observations. So nice to have a competent, caring, and conscientious dental practice in Germantown. I definitely recommend this practice. And, I scheduled my sixth month cleaning appointment. That is high praise. Beth Davis.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kellum since the beginning of this practice and I have had the pleasure of seen his practice growing exponentially. Success comes as a reward for professionalism, integrity, transparency, competency and the human touch that is missing in so many other practices. They offer a service with an extra value that one can not find everywhere. PD: An extra is that me my husband and our son have been treated with respect. This is a place where nobody will feel discriminated.

I have had both a cleaning and a filling here, and the staff is wonderful. Erika at the front desk is super friendly and helpful. Jessica the hygienist was very willing to answer all my questions and even explained her charting to me when I inquired. Dr. Kellum is the first dentist to ever actually check that I was numb in the correct places before drilling. He talked me through everything he was doing and why, and even took the time to scrape off some old cement from my retainers that my last dentist failed to remove. They are walking distance from where I live, but I would recommend to anyone living in the Nashville area because they are so great!

Thank you to Dr. Kellum and staff! This dental office is nothing short of professional, compassionate, and efficient! From the office personnel to Dr. Kellum and his assistants, each appointment has been pleasant. I never have to wait, I always know the proposed dental treatment, and what my insurance will cover along with my financial responsibility. Dr. Kellum and his staff are able to answer any questions and explain the “what” and “if this” of the procedures. Dr. Kellum and his team were amazing! I had chipped my tooth and they were able to get me in next day. They took every COVID-19 precaution in my treatment and were super accommodating. They made a less than ideal situation and turned it into a great experience. I already scheduled and am looking forward to my next appointment for a cleaning.
