After 2.5 years of getting dental care elsewhere in Huntington Beach and my problem of bleeding gums not being resolved with expensive treatments, I decided it was time to find a new dentist to see if it could be figured out and resolved. Dr. Banta and her staff did a good cleaning and deep cleaning of my teeth and found plaque buildups that were “old” and should’ve been removed in previous cleanings. Since I’ve seen her the first time, the bleeding in my gums has decreased significantly.

Dr Banta takes her time and everything is explained thoroughly throughout. Most relaxed I’ve ever been at a dentist. Fantastic staff and Dr Banta is a phenomenal Dental specialist. Dr. Banta Took care of my son’s smile,his teeth and is preparing for his braces. How she helped me handle the emotions of having my teeth extracted is beyond classy. Dr. Banta really knows her stuff, takes her time to explain what she is doing which puts one at ease, you can tell she really enjoys what she is doing which makes for a positive experience, she is a perfectionist and her end results are amazing! Not only were they able to accommodate me in a timely manner, but the procedure and workflow went very well. Originally, I booked them based on convenience with how close their office was from my house. I’ve been going to D. Banta since 2008 and I absolutely love her. The way she works is super careful and super light. I don’t even feel when she is administering the anesthesia is so effortless. I often joke that when I go to the dentist is my spa time, well I do actually relax to the point of napping. I live in LA and happily drive to HB to go to her office. I love that everyone on staff is careful and so nice, love my cleanings and everything they taught me to care for my teeth. Once I tried another dentist (since I live in LA, I tried getting someone closer to my home) and I was left with an unpleasant feeling from a check-up along with a “need to be done work” note that estimated that I will need over $1,200 in work out of pocket (on top of what my insurance covered). I immediately went to Dr. Banta for a second opinion and it turned out that I didn’t need all this work the other person was recommending. I know I can trust Dr. Banta with my teeth and my wallet, too. I know that this is the best dentist for me for as long as I am able to do to her and as long as she is working! Customer for life!

I have been going to Dr. Banta for years and will tell you….she is the BEST! I came to her traumatized from a Horrible experience that kept me away from seeing a dentist for 13 year!! My friend Nancy referred me to Dr. Banta. My life was changed. I have had many procedures done with Dr. Banta. Today I had a crown replaced that another dentist did years ago. Wow!! What a difference! The old one did not fit and I had constant problems/discomfort. I’ve had it for 20+ years!! She is an expert in her field. Not only is she a skilled dentist, she is a sculpture. I immediately felt the difference in my bite. Trust me….this is the dentist you need to visit!! Also, her office staff and hygienist are so friendly. Like family. Cannot say enough. Dr. Banta has been our family dentist since 2004. Ever since a a traumatic tooth injury. Resulting in my family all switching to Dr. Banta as our primary dentist. Waiting time is minimal never more than five minutes. The scheduling staff is phenomenal. Always leave the office with an exceptionally clean feeling. The team there takes all the time necessary to make sure to do the job properly and is extremely personable and genuine. In cases of emergency out family has always been able to get a hold of Dr. Banta. You’ll be pleasantly surprised by their professionalism and care that is provided by this dentist and her staff!

Dr. Gilda Banta is the best Dentist in the O.C. area in my opinion. My teeth are a different story but I won’t get into that. I always dreaded going to the dentist and it took awhile before I made an appointment. I did some research and really liked the way they talked to me over the phone. Dr. Gilda Banta has been practicing general dentistry in Huntington Beach since 1995. She continues to advance her knowledge by studying directly with highly acclaimed leaders in different specialties. She remains active in the Orange County, California and American Dental Societies. Dr. Banta was a part-time clinical instructor at the UCLA School of Dentistry where she also fulfills her continuing education units. She is a Denti-cal consultant for Delta Dental of California. She is also a contractor for Dentrust and Dental Management Health Solutions to do screenings at military events for service members who are being deployed.
