I have been seeing Dr. Gouvion for several years, having moved to Orange County from Boston. I am in the healthcare industry as well, and cannot provide enough praise for Dr. Gouvion and his staff. From the beginning, my patient experience has been tremendous at this dental practice. The front desk staff is warm, friendly, and professional. Dr. Gouvion is incredibly experienced, calming, clear in his diagnostic and treatment processes, and has a wonderful sense of humor. The hygienist who does my cleanings (Chris) is diligent, educational, and supportive. Scheduling and billing processes are clear and transparent — never any surprises. I have lived in several major cities in the country in the last 15 or so years, needing a new dentist in each location, and Dr. Gouvion is by far the most outstanding.

I have been going to Dr. Gouvion’s office for so many years that I’ve stopped counting…and I can’t imagine getting better professional and personal care anywhere. Dr. Gouvion, (partner dentists) are highly skilled in ALL procedures and use the latest equipment. The dental technicians and hygienists are Aplus caliber. The entire staff of the office is efficient and accommodating. I have referred family and friends there and they are very appreciative as they have become patients now. I have been coming here for over 20 years now. Everyone in the office is awesome, friendly and caring. I have seen both Dr Gouvian and Dr Grant throughout my visits here. I am happy to say that it has been very rare that it had to do with any dental work but for them to check in on me during my cleaning Speaking of cleaning I go every 6 months and have never skipped. For the first 10+ years I only saw one lady but when she retired I saw a few others but am happy again to be seeing just one. I also appreciate that confirmation on my appointments are sent to me via text. Covid protocols are in place with all staff wearing masks, my hygenist were double masked. Chairs were marked to keep distance Eyes ~ Looks clean as always. Ears ~ A little chatter at the front desk! Nose ~ Smells clean!! Mouth ~ Getting my grill shined!!!

This recent past visit was for an urgent dental need – I had to quickly repair a crown that loosened over the weekend. I cannot rave enough about every single person in the office. Dr. Gouvion is my Dentist, but my family has seen the others as well. When you find a Dentist that you feel comfortable with, no matter what the procedure (no pain) you’ll never leave. All of the hygienists are wonderful as well.
The office staff is incredibly friendly, efficient, and extremely accommodating when you really need it.

A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. Gouvion graduated from USC School of Dentistry in 1967. After 2 years as a U.S. Navy Dentist, he joined Dr. James Hodge in Irvine. As the first dentists in Irvine, their practices flourished. After 22 years together, Dr. Hodge moved to Sun Valley, Idaho and Dr. Gouvion moved into his present suite. Dr. Gouvion has continued to expand his knowledge and skills by attending thousands of hours of continuing education courses including a 40-year membership in the Newport Harbor Academy of Dentistry. He is also a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, and the Orange County Dental Society. Since 1979 Dr. Gouvion has lived in Newport Beach with his wife Nancy where they raised their three children Michael, Lauren, and Matthew. In his spare time, Dr. Gouvion enjoys all USC sports, his 7 grandchildren and the 5-acre vineyard he planted in Murrietta in 1999.
