Dr. LaVecchia and his staff, particularly my dental hygienist Leni, continue to provide the best dental care I have ever had. With the offices now reopened, the staff has taken all precautions to ensure that patients are safe during the coronavirus pandemic. It was incredibly comforting to see how diligent everyone was about maintaining space, while also keeping patients at ease, which is important for me, as I have previously had tremendous anxiety about going to the dentist. I cannot recommend this team enough; they are both thorough and friendly. I now enjoy going to the dentist, which is not something I ever thought I would say in my life.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Louis for over 40 years and still have crowns from the late ’70’s. Obviously, his work is excellent! I’ve mostly seen his son, Dr. Greg, for the past few years and have been equally pleased! Add a friendly, competent and professional staff, and you’ve got a practice that I gladly recommend to anyone!

I’ve been going to Dr. LaVecchia for years. His staff are always professional and helpful. The hygienists are thorough without being aggressively “scrape-y.” Dr. LaVecchia himself has a great demeanor, always explains what the plan is for my mouth, is pragmatic in his approach, and is very personable. I always have a positive experience going to Dr. LaVecchia.

Hygienist, Arlene provided me with great service during my visit with Dr. Louis LaVecchia today. She is very friendly, thorough, and informative. A true professional who obviously loves her job. Dr. LaVecchia provided excellent care, detailed explanation of my exam results and advice. This was my first visit here and I’m so glad I tried them out. Already made my next appointment. Thank you all for your staff’s professionalism and great service.

I have been to Dr. LaVecchia’s office twice now (once as an emergency and the other for a cleaning) and I was highly impressed both times. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Arlene was my dental hygienist and was very efficient and thorough. I loved how she explained what was going on step by step as my teeth were being cleaned. I highly recommend this practice for anyone looking for a good dentist in this area.

5 stars! Leni is a lifesaver! Before finding this office, I used to have extreme anxiety about dental visits that caused me to avoid making appointments. No more! It’s always such a pleasure to see Leni. I have high gum sensitivity and very low pain tolerance (even just for cleanings) and she is so patient with my nervousness and always takes care to make sure I don’t feel any pain. And she is so gentle!! I am delighted and so relieved that I no longer dread the dentist chair. Thanks Leni! I am so appreciative!!

Had a very relaxing cleaning with Melinda yesterday. She took the time to thoroughly explain how I can improve my dental hygiene without shaming me. Dr. LaVecchia was very professional and laid back. I’ve never felt the urge to rate a dentist appointment but this experience compelled me to do so.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. LaVecchia and his father Dr. Louis LaVecchia for almost 30 years. The care they have provided me is beyond compare. Any time I’ve called with a dental emergency they’ve taken care of me the same day. The hygienists are thorough and kind. The office staff is friendly and helpful. Dr Greg is great about answering any question I might have and he takes care to explain things in layman’s terms. The whole team is just fantastic. You just can’t do better.

I never thought I would say that I love going to the dentist! I have been going to Dr. Greg LaVecchia’s office for a couple of years now but my husband has been a patient there for almost a decade. Luckily, I haven’t had any major issues so my appointments are usually pretty quick and I send most of my time with my favorite hygienist, Leni. She is amazing! She greets me with a big smile every time and she does an excellent job. She treats patients with great care and makes sure to provide recommendations to improve oral health. I feel lucky to have found this practice. They are very organized and all appointments start on time. Highly recommend!

Highly recommend! Outstanding office. I was greeted promptly and cheerfully, went back to a chair within moments of my scheduled appointment, and had a courteous, thorough, and professional experience with everyone. This is a preventative dentistry office. I think that’s really important – save you teeth before they’re in trouble. During the cleaning, we found some things to improve, and the very next day had an appointment to do them. Costs were well-explained. No surprises. Second appointment even better than the first. Professional, thorough, friendly. Treated me like a partner in my care. Explained every step. Very (very) minimal discomfort that was gone within 24 hours. Got a follow-up letter welcoming me to the practice a few days later. It’s nice to get that personal touch. If you’re looking for a place to get good care in a welcoming, convenient, and deeply proficient environment, this is your new dentist. I will be back!

My experience at Dr. LaVecchia’s Office was fantastic. The front desk staff was friendly and communicative as I transitioned from another dentist. My hygienist was patient & sympathetic as she stretched my mouth in ways I didn’t know were possible to take insightful X-Rays. Dr. Babbio also spent a considerable amount of time with me, going through the X-Rays with me, and explaining the benefits of a treatment to me. Cannot say enough positive good things, and I usually hate the dentist!

My family and I have been seeing Dr. LaVecchia and the the other professionals in his office for over 10 years. Everyone is competent, helpful, caring and nice. In addition to the care being the best, the office staff makes each appointment pleasant. Unfortunately, I have had to see these (nice) people multiple times in the past year. Just as their office has always met the highest standards of sterility, safety and cleanliness, their office has continued to do so during this lengthy pandemic. That they can all be trusted with their patients care and safety is a high honor. Thanks!

I always feel so welcomed when I go here! For my appointment today, it was almost like I was meeting new friends and sharing stories about ourselves. The receptionist, Angelica, was genuinely interested in how I was doing and I really liked that. My hygienist that did my cleaning was also really caring and super interested in the endeavors of my life, even those details outside of regular dentistry. Treating people with immense care and displaying laser-focused attention goes a long, long way, and I will be sure to recommend this dentist office to my friends at Georgetown University.

I was very pleased with my first visit. The staff really worked with me while being flexible around my demanding work schedule. I came in with pain to find out what the problem was. I was able to get answers and a plan in place on my first visit. The staff is very professional but best of all, very friendly and welcoming. One of my favorite staff members so far is Ms. Chelsea. I was having a tough day, and even trying to make my appointment was stressful. She helped me laugh that all away. She has an awesome personality that made my visit so much easier to get through. Melinda was a very nice person also to work with, although what she had to do was painful to me, she made my experience easy to get through. Mr. LaVecchia was also very pleasant to talk to. He explained everything in a way that was clear to understand and gave me the best recommendations. I am looking forward to making this place my new home of Dentistry. Thank you to the rest of the staff that I was able to meet and work with today.

I’ve been going here for about 15 years. Everyone I see is very personable, I get great dental care, and they are quite efficient. During my most recent visit, I needed a crown and they have technology that allows them to do this in one visit (if you arrive early enough in the day). It was a bit scary as I’d never needed one before, but Chelsea answered all my questions with a smile and laugh, and Dr. LaV. worked efficiently to get the job done. Highly recommend them all!

I would give them 10 stars if I could. Dr. LaVecchia and the hygienists and staff at the office are all so amazing that I’m taking time out of my day on my birthday to write this review. While I did not have an appointment today (because who would make a dentist appointment on their birthday?), I did get a lovely birthday message from them. It reminded me that I had been wanting to share a review for them for years. I have gone to Dr. LaVecchia’s office since 2011. It’s hands down the best dental office I’ve ever been to. As a child, I never liked the dentist’s office, and that feeling continued into my adulthood, until I started going to Dr. LaVecchia’s office. Both Leni and Melinda have been my hygienists – and they are both delightful. I am not a fan of the noise that some of the cleaning tools make, and they are very accommodating and allow me time to set up my headphones and turn up my music to drown out the noise of cleaning tools. They tap my shoulder when they need to speak to me so that I can take my earbuds out. I also have nothing but amazing things to say about Angelika at the front desk. Everyone at front desk is kind, but Angelika goes out of her way to be extra kind and welcoming. Another plus is the free pens and Chapstick at the front desk. They didn’t go cheap for their give-away swag. The pens write beautifully and the Chapstick works well and comes in many flavors!

Dr. LaVecchia was great! He was very polite and provided me with the help I needed. Additionally, Ms. Yamila was able to get me a same day appointment which was very helpful considering the incident with my tooth had just occurred. I would recommend this practice and I plan to come back if any other concerns should arise. Denise

I can not recommend this place enough. The staff are great at what they do. Not only do they make my teeth look brand new, they have glowing personalities to make me feel at ease in the chair. Capriotti’s sandwich shop is across the street. Can’t beat that either! Being so close to the nations capital is a great benefit as well. Make your day off work well spent at the office and walk around the beautiful waterfront. The only downside I can find is the limited parking around the premises. My trick is to drive around the building a couple times and usually one presents itself. If I see someone try to get my spot I vehemently honk till they get the message. Whoops… went off the rails there for a second. Highly recommend Greg’s practice!!

Dr. LaVecchia took great care of my excruciating tooth ache. I was greeted by a warm and kind office staff. The dental assistant kept me calm and comfortable as he saw me immediately. The root canal was not as painful as I expected. He and his assistant work harmoniously together. The synergy of the flow of the office waiting room to the dental chair was impeccable. He personally called me to check on my pain management and gave me a direct line to reach him if there were any complications. I have been going to this practice for over 30 years. When I first moved to the area I was in Rosslyn but now live in Fairfax and still make the trip in for my dental needs. Both Dr LaVecchias, Leni and Angelica have always been professional and accommodating to my needs (schedule, “emergency” situations, etc.) plus are nice and fun people.

I decided to go to this dentist because my coworker told me to try it out. I think this has been the best decision I’ve ever made! I usually get really nervous about the dentist, but when I go there, everyone makes me feel safe and makes sure I am comfortable. I have nothing but good things to say about every staff member in this establishment. Thank you for all you do!!

I stumbled into Dr. LaVecchia’s office for emergency crown work. Being new to the area and having prior experience with dentists, I was nervous to say the least. It was a pleasure working with Dr. Bobbio and Monica. These perfectionists refused to let me to go home until my “temporary crowns” were flawless! The final product exceeded my expectations. Hands down the most professional, friendly and caring staff I have met over the years. Thank you Dr. Bobbio and Monica!
