My son finished braces with another orthodontist a few years ago. But his jaw started growing out of proportion .His face was becoming crooked. Our pediatric dentist referred us to Dr. Zhang. Although it’s a long commute for us, we are so glad that we came to the right place. After a year of braces, my son’s jaw is nicely aligned. His face is no longer crooked. We are very happy with the progress. Over the past year, I have seen Dr. Zhang treating many challenging cases that had been treated by other orthodontists. Dr. Zhang is very detailed. She places a great deal of emphasis on children’s growth and development. Apparently, you can get braces just to straighten your teeth (hopefully not straight front teeth but crooked back teeth), or straight teeth and well aligned bite. However what you should expect from an excellent orthodontist like Dr. Zhang is a beautiful smile and well aligned bite that will last.

My daughter has had outstanding care over the past two years from Dr. Zhang and her staffs and has seen fantastic results, despite her difficult orthodontic case. When I look at her teeth, I am still amazed at the transformation to her teeth. Dr. Zhang is very responsive, professional and fantastic with kids. She has always been available, accommodating when appointments needed to be changed. She has been very diligent with getting her teeth corrected and has managed to do so even in a small amount of time. I trust her so much to have my two kids orthodontia done with her. In addition, the office environment is a wonderful, professional, efficient and friendly. The staffs we met personally or talked to over the phone have been incredibly helpful, attentive and upbeat. I would definitely recommend her to my friends.

Dr.Zhang is the one of the best orthodontists in town! My case is VERY complicated! I’ve consulted at least 5 orthodontists in Boston and no one can give me a firm answer if they can do my case, or just told me that I have to wear braces for 3 years! I found dr. Zhang by a reference from my friend, he came out with an amazing result. Then I decided to work with her. I’m wearing braces now less than a year, the result is soooo amazing!!!! It’s a team work with you and your orthodontist, you have to 100% follow her instructions. And do not try to challenge her because she knows teeth better than you! And that’s true you have to a wait for a while in every appointment, she is very very nice and very busy since she has a lot patients. Once your case came out with a great result I really don’t care if I wait a little bit:)

My dentist referred me here for a consult. He prepared me for the worst by telling me that if I don’t get my cross bite corrected with braces, it’s likely that my TMJ problem will spiral out of control, my whole body will be deformed, splitting headaches, three horsemen, fire and brimstone, etc. Dr. Zhang took the time to examine my occlusion and my TMJs very carefully. As a veterinarian, I can tell when someone is doing a thorough exam, and she was very thorough. After explaining my problem and my options to me very carefully, I decided with her support not to pursue orthodontic treatment, so I will not be visiting there anymore. However, any orthodontist who forgoes business by letting a prospective patient know that they don’t need braces gets five stars in my book. I think her clinical judgment is sound and she is trustworthy. If you are visiting Dr. Zhang’s office in Roslindale for the first time, do not follow directions from googlemaps or mbta.com, they put this address over a mile down the road from where it actually is.

Have been taking my child to this pediatric practice since the week he was born almost 13 years ago. Waiting room times are short, office staff is pleasant, nurses are bright and efficient, and the medical staff is exemplary. I trust my child’s life to these people and have never been let down. I prefer a holistic approach to health as I think good nutrition, sleep, exercise are as important as medical intervention, if not more, and the doctors here seem to agree. I do not believe in the flu shot (for anyone) and while they advise to get it annually, they have never made it an issue. They have Saturday morning hours for sick child visits. When I have called outside of office hours the doctor-on-call has always returned my call well within a half hour. Have never had an issue with any kind of billing problems. Some of the wonderful Drs there 13 years ago have since retired, but the replacements are all top notch. Wish I could give more than 5 stars.
