My wife had lots of dental issues to be addressed and needed a good dentist. We found Dr. Hall through Yelp for my wife’s dental work a few months ago. We have had great experience at Dr. Hall’s clinic. Dr. Hall is the best amongst the best both in skills and service. He is very patient and always are willing to accommodate our needs. He would go extra miles to explain in great details about the issues and his approaches. He is a caring person by nature and so are his assistant Diana and his staff Charlotte and Joy. We have been very happy with the work Dr. Hall has done so far. All the people there are always so considerate of their patients thinking ahead for all the possible issues that we may encounter. We will continue to go to Dr. Hall for our dental health issues. I would strongly recommend Hall Dental to anyone who needs a good dentist.

How many people can say they ENJOY going to the dentist? I honestly enjoy laying back in the comfy chair and chatting with Dr. Hall and catching up on family matters as well as the state of my teeth. I was amazed after doing a little math that he’s been looking in my mouth and maintaining my teeth for 28 years! The office staff is also consistently friendly and professional. When a wisdom tooth suddenly showed up last year, Dr Hall gave me a referral to a wonderful oral surgeon and followed up on the procedure. Any work I’ve had done in Dr Hall’s chair has been performed without pain and it always holds up well. He’s a skilled dentist and nice person too!.

I’ve been receiving dental care from Dr. Kelvin Hall for the past 30 years. Although I live in the East Bay and haven’t worked in SF for close to 20 years, I continue to trek to the City because the dental care received from Dr. Hall and his staff is wonderful. Dr. Hall is thorough, stays current on advances in the field, and doesn’t try to “up-sell” me. I truly appreciate that Dr. Hall takes the time to personally clean my teeth. Dr. Hall’s staff (Joy, Charlotte and Lucy) are also great – they’ve been with Dr. Hall for years and are very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.  Dr. Hall and his staff make going to the dentist a very pleasant experience!

As a SF transplant, I’ve found it difficult to find a trusted, reliable dentist. That all changed when I visited Dr. Hall’s office. He clearly outlined the steps for short term and long term dental health with varying options to fix dental issues he identified. He also took the time to help me understand exactly why these issues exist and his reasoning behind the methods he recommended to fix them. I also had a wonderful experience with the office receptionist both from a scheduling standpoint as well as treating me with nothing but hospitality and care once I arrived to my first appointment. Highly recommend a visit to Dr. Hall!

The visit to Dr. Hall was, as always, was divided into two parts: 1.) the office: making and confirming the appointment, dealing with payment and insurance matters, etc. and 2.) the dentist: the actual in chair work. 1.) Dr. Hall’s office staff are the most knowledgeable customer support team I’ve ever encountered. Amazingly helpful and supportive, competent and warm. They are absolutely on top of the constantly changing issues and requirements around the Covid pandemic (this appointment was in August, 2020) which gave me a feeling of confidence that all my needs and concerns had been anticipated. They get an A+. 2.) Dr. Hall and his dental assistant are top notch. Their level of professionalism is high and their bedside, er, chair-side, manner is excellent. They were able to care for my dental needs during the appointment while simultaneously making me feel safe every step of the way. They, also, get an A+.

Dr. Hall and his son are fantastic people and exceptional dentists who take their time to care for each and every patient. The experience can best be described as laid back and the perfect ‘getaway from the office’ in a nice, relaxing atmosphere.They make the most of their tight space on the 13th floor and don’t disappoint with their desire to provide top notch dental care. Dr. Hall warned me in advance of a couple of issues that could impact my dental health long term. We were able to get a procedure scheduled and what could have been a long term problem was averted. I recommended them to a friend and she remains happy. Joy is at the front desk and really the gem at this office. Go see them if you have any dental needs big or small.

Dr. Hall is the best, particularly in two areas.  First, his competency and skill as a dentist.  He can do very advanced procedures extremely well.  Second, at the end of the day, Dentistry is a service business and his office is so easy with which to work.  He’s even opened on Saturday occasionally when that’s best for his patients.  He and his staff are just great. Hate to go to the dentist, this is the office for you.   Good with going and want a competent, pleasant office that runs on time. This is the office for you.

I’ve been with Dr. Hall four years now, and I started recommending him to friends after maybe my second visit. I should have yelped much sooner! Anyway, I’ve had a lot of dentists (pity me), and my teeth are pretty complicated. So his treatment has included many cavities and crowns and whatnot. And a mouth guard. So, categories of praise. (1) essentials, such as knowing what he’s doing, being efficient, truth in billing, good support staff, etc.: A+. (2) Absence of negatives (e.g., some dentists talk too much, I’ve met unfriendly assistants in the past, etc): A+. I can’t think of anything they do wrong. (3) Bonus — i.e., features that you don’t need in a dentist/office that you get with this one: Dr. Hall is always in a good mood. He remembers everything about me. Very unusually among dentists, in my experience, he’s sensitive to my level of physical discomfort, or how much or little I feel like talking, and adjusts accordingly. Tells me what he’s doing while he’s doing it. I would say he’s uncommonly conscientious, for instance going to remarkable lengths to make sure my mouthguard fit perfectly and isn’t wearing out a year later. His staff appears to have been with him forever — still the same people since 2012, anyway. Joy, his billing person, is the sweetest person ever and has mastered her job. He has a TV with lots of DVDs that you can actually watch while cavities get filled. I didn’t think I’d go for this, but I sure have, and it improved my experience A LOT. I don’t know if all other dentists have this now, but Dr. Hall is the first dentist I’ve had who has a magnifying camera and can take you on an informative if potentially disgusting video tour of your own mouth. Bottom line: best dentist I’ve ever had, and I have no reservations recommending him.

My husband and I have had nothing but outstanding experiences with Dr. Hall and his team. I could not recommend them enough! After some questionable experiences with medical professionals that left me wary and hesitant to trust, I used to dread going to the dentist. I am so happy to say that my anxiety is completely gone. Everytime I see Dr. Hall and his staff (which, due to a serious grinding habit is more often than normal) I’m blown away by just how well cared for I feel. The office is clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and go above and beyond to help. Dr. Hall always finishes whatever the procedure with as little invasiveness as possible and consistently checks in with his patient throughout to ensure their comfort. I walked away from a day of getting three crowns (close to a 3 hour appointment) and another day of getting three cavities filled with almost no discomfort thanks to Dr. Hall’s expertise.

The Hall practice is super friendly, professional, and always willing to  accommodate my schedule.  I have been using this highly professional and quality dentistry for almost 30 years and all the care on my teeth has been exceptional.  I completely trust the recommendations Dr. Hall has given me as the quality of my dental work has lasted for a long time.  I also particularly like the personal manner the doctors and staff have with their patients and the doctor even calls at home to follow up on my procedure from the day. I highly recommend the practice and their friendly staff.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Hall for about 3 years and cannot recommend him more highly. My sister, brother in law, and husband all see him as well and have been for many years. He makes the visits very smooth, I’ve never waited more than a few minutes in the waiting area. Also you spend most of your visit with the doctor as opposed to the hygienist. He is never pushy with treatment recommendations but gives his advice on  any procedure or treatment. Additionally Joy at the front desk is absolutely fantastic. She has always reached out to our insurance agency to check on any potential costs or coverage, always sends appointment reminders when needed, and makes the appointment super easy. Would highly recommend to anyone!
