We are on vacation from out of state and our daughter chipped her two front teeth. Hoek was able to see her right away and they were absolutely wonderful to work with. Our hygienist Stacy was professional and comforting and everyone we encountered was a pleasure to work with. Thank you for saving our vacation! I would recommend them highly!

I am absolutely petrified of the dentist and go as rarely as possible, but I had a dental emergency just before Christmas and Dr. Hoek agreed to see me immediately and stayed late on the Friday before Christmas to help me.  She and her entire staff were so incredibly kind and compassionate, and really made me feel so comfortable that I even went back WITHOUT sedation (I haven’t been to a dentist without sedation in 15 years!). I can’t say enough nice things about this practice and highly recommend it!

I have been coming here for years and decided to have my daughter and husband come here for their cleanings. They are so great with kids here. My daughter scares easily and they answer all her questions and make coming here super fun. She has even told me she loves coming here! I highly recommend coming here!

Doctor Hoek offers first class service. I would highly recommend her to friends and family. My daughter fell and we were worried about her teeth and jaw over the weekend. doctor Hoek called right back on her emergency line and met us at the clinic in less than 15 minutes. Everything turned out ok but it was her dedication to her patients that blew me away. What a terrific dentist.

Dr. Meredith Hoek is without a doubt the best dentist I have had. Her understanding of her practice is unmatched. She saved me last minute when my tooth broke in half and has since identified that tooth as irreparable after many years of fillings and trauma. She prepped the tooth for a crown and it was an incredible process. New 3D scan of the tooth area to ensure perfect fitting for the new crown. The crown fit like a glove and feels great. Her and her staff are wonderful. They are always asking to see if you have any questions or concerns and use their time not only to fix or clean your teeth but to also educate you on options and cleaning routines that will benefit your oral health. The hours of operation are great for those who work and might need a later appointment. I drive 45 minutes or longer depending on traffic to go to her and I will continue to do so. This is the best dentist I have ever had! It was very important to me to find an office that has staff that wouldn’t hurt my gums or teeth during my appointment and still do a thorough job and this place does it. Dr. Hoek and her staff make me feel comfortable and important. I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a great experience for their dentist appointments!

I love to go to the dentist, said no one ever. Okay, well at least I have never said it. I’m one of those people who has an unnatural fear of dentists, and clowns. My first visit with Dr Hoek and Stacy went very well. I survived and got a “No cavities pencil and a sticker.” I genuinely appreciated Stacy’s humor and technique. She let me know what was happening each step of the way. While I am never going to be that “YEAH I get to go the dentist today” person, I am very happy that I found a great dentist and hygienist and I will return. Should I be worried that Stacy said, “If I did a good job, my name is Stacy. If I did a bad job, my name is Mary?” Now that I am over the dental fear, I hear there is a movie about a scary clown coming out.

I recently broke a tooth and needed to be seen. As a new patient I was not optimistic but they fit me in quickly. After assessing the tooth and explaining what needed to be done we made a follow up appointment for the next week. The staff was great in working my dual insurances and letting me know what my share would be. The follow up appointment went well , very professional and pain free ( Im a dental phobe) Im looking forward to better dental health in the future with them.

Monday was our 2nd time for the kids and I going to Hoek Esthetic Family Dentistry and I must say Dr. Hoek is by far the best Dentist out there. My kids dread going to the dentist because of their last dentist they had. So when I heard there was a new place opening up by our new home I figured I would give it a try. My kids loved her. My son who is 13 hates needles and his first time there ended up having to get a cavity filled. He didn’t even know she was going to shoot him up. She had him close his eyes and told him she had to squirt some liquid onto his gum after she had numbed the gum with gel before hand. So he did and she injected him six or seven times. He never knew till later that night when I told him. His response was man she’s good mom I never felt the needle. Now they enjoy going to the dentist and can’t wait for their next visit. 5 thumbs up for Dr. Hoek she is great!!

Dr. Hoek is amazing! My fiance had a filling from a previous dentist fall out suddenly. He was in pain and needed an emergency appointment. She was able to get him in a half hour after his phone call to her office. He was so impressed with speed and quality of the procedure that he is now switching to her practice for future dental needs. Her prices are also extremely competitive when comparing other VA Beach practices.
