I chose this place because it has the highest ratings on Google. I was very iffy on going to a dentist because a previous dentist messed up my fill in, so I didn’t want someone to mess it up more. I went in and had the most lovely experience that I possibly can have at a dental place. Everyone is so nice and respectful, which makes everything breezy. Ashley did my cleaning and was so nice. It was quick, painless, and efficient throughout the whole process. Dr. Dan is so proficient in all his work. He fixed my fill in and now I CAN CHEW ON MY LEFT SIDE! I recommended my boyfriend to go and he loved it. I will continue to recommend people.

Dr Dan and the entire staff are amazing! The facility is super clean and high tech. They answered all of my questions, addressed all of my concerns, and made sure I was comfortable. As a new patient, he also wanted to know about me as a person instead of just as a patient. I had to get a couple fillings as well and before the procedure the staff made sure I was as comfortable as possible. They provided a blanket for me to feel comfortable and allowed me to select a show to watch on the ceiling TV (yes they have TVs on the ceiling) to keep my mind occupied and me at ease during a procedure that has given me a lot of anxiety in the past. They were quick, efficient, and caring always asking if I was okay or in any pain/discomfort. If that wasn’t enough Dr Dan himself called that night to make sure I was feeling okay after the procedure. They honestly go above and beyond for their patients and try to make going to the dentist as enjoyable as possible. I cannot recommend them enough!

I’m not much of a reviewer, but I felt compelled to share my experience. I went there for the first time today. It was for a routine cleaning appointment. Let me tell you, I was pleasantly surprised from start to finish. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and they take the time to answer all of your questions too. The office is modern and so is all of their equipment. I mean you can just tell when you get there. What a standout! This was truly the best dental experience I’ve ever had.

I’ve been going to Horizons for over a year now and by far the best around. The staff is very friendly and Dr. Hostrander is awesome. After being very hesitant, I brought my toddler for her very first visit. Couldn’t be more glad I did the right thing! She enjoyed her visit with them, and keeps getting excited whenever she hears the word “dentist”! It was a breeze with Dr. Dan and Ashley! So I had to come back this time for myself with a tooth problem and for cleaning too. My hygienist was Ashley and she was super friendly, patient and so good at her work! Later when Dr. Dan came in, and quickly he figured out my tooth problem and walked me through it on what could be done. I always had traumatized experiences at the dentist’s, but I’m looking forward to come back to Dr. Dan’s office in September! Everyone at the office is super nice and the place is filled with good vibes. If you’re wondering where to go, Horizon Dental is the way to go! 🙂

It had been quite a long time since my last dental appointment so understandably I was very anxious about finally going to the dentist. From the very beginning everyone in the office was so friendly and made every effort to make sure I was comfortable. The office is beautiful and comfortable. Dr. Dan was very thorough and straightforward about our “gameplan”, and each part of my procedure/visit was explained and executed beautifully from check in to my hygienist treatment to check out. The best shot I’ve ever had. Dr. Hostrander nailed it with 3 back to back shots I had to have for a root canal / filling combo. I couldn’t feel it at all. I’ve had other shots that I couldn’t feel before but not as quick and accurate. The staff is very friendly and does a good job at making you feel as comfortable as possible with all the amenities not offered at other offices. Their schedule stays booked but it’s worth it if you can wait for a spot. Highly recommended.

My experience at Horizon Dental was very positive and enjoyable from walking in to a friendly, smiling receptionist to a most friendly and extremely capable hygienist who took the time to answer explicitly all questions I had about my procedure and to make sure I was comfortable throughout. She also engaged in candid conversation which helped me to feel at ease. After my procedure Dr. Dan asked if I had any concerns, and mentioned a possible problem that may need attention at some time. Unlike other experiences I’ve had I found Dr. Dan to be very personal, caring, low key non alarming, but very professional. If I could give 10 stars, I would. This place is amazing! Let’s start from the beginning, they are completely paperless and eco friendly by having new patients do paperwork on an iPad (way to go! It’s 2020, every business should follow suit). Ashley was my dental hygienist, she was sweet and gentle. She also took the time to explain everything she did prior to actually doing it, this alleviates any anxiety anyone may have at the dentist. Dr. Dan was thorough and extremely nice! All tech used was new and clean, also the room had 2 flat screen TVs for patients viewing pleasure. I could go on and on, but give this place a try. $99 for x-rays, cleaning, and exam. 100% worth it!

Horizon dental is by far the best dentist practice I have EVER been to. I have lived in 5 states and have had close to double digit dentists in my life so that is saying a lot. Not only is the office nice and the tech state of the art, but Dr. Dan is one of those people who doesn’t think of himself as above anybody due to his credentials. He just comes in, treats you like an equal, does an amazing job, and is always extremely pleasant to be around. As for the rest of the staff, from the hygienists to the front office staff, I always find myself having very fun conversations with all of them. They truly are the nicest people as a collective group that you will come across anywhere in the medical field! My hygienist has recommended weekend getaway trips for me and my family that have been amazing! She is literally a ball of positive energy that you can’t help but enjoy being around. That old adage of, “I hate going to the dentist” just doesn’t fit with this bunch! To be honest, for the first time in my life I actually look forward to going to the dentist. They are also extremely flexible with scheduling. I had a client meeting on Friday during my scheduled appointment and called 25 minutes before my appointment and asked if I could come in the next business day. They literally replied, “Awesome! Dr. Dan’s childhood patient experience with his family dentist and orthodontist was less than ideal. After three different sets of braces (totalling six years of treatment) led to complications and necessary jaw surgery, Dr. Dan wanted to make sure that no patient had the same experience. He was inspired to become a dentist that would change the way people envisioned dental appointments. Dentistry shouldn’t be scary, and Dr. Dan combines skill, compassion, and humor to keep patients comfortable in his care. Dr. Dan graduated with Honors and earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from UNC School of Dentistry. He is dedicated to providing a superior dental experience for his patients with a focus on relationship-based care.
