As soon as I walk into the store, I am greeted with a smile, and the ladies that run the front desk are always willing to get a question or two answered if I have them. If they don’t know the answer offhand, regarding my insurance, or any other issues, by the time my appointment is done, they have it. Sometimes it’s something they have to research, and I’ve always been updated on the status of insurance, billing, or anything the sort, so I know my options. I went in for cleanings, which have all be easy, and and overall great experience. I’ve also had to go in for a couple fillings, and a crown, and not only did they get me right in with virtually no wait, they tried to make everything as comfortable as possible before the process began. Everything that was done, was mentioned before it was done, so there were no surprises, and a procedure I was originally very nervous about was made quite harmless. The overall work is top notch, and I would refer them to anyone looking for a dentist in the area. The area it is located in, is downtown Torrance, and is a nice and quiet business area. Parking is usually quite easy to find.

Island Dental is a wonderful place to get dental treatment done. Dr Houske and Dr. Kubo are both highly experienced doctors. The different procedures that I have had done by doctors is as small as a filling on a front tooth to as large as a rown and a bridge put in. Both doctors are sensitive to my needs, it take a while for me to get numb and they both know it. They are not “heavy handed” as some doctors have in the past been to me. there are two ladies that clean your teeth and I have seen them both in the past. They have been very polite and kind. the education that I walk out with everytime is amazing. From learing why we floss our teeth, to toughten up the tissue betweent the teeth to hug the tooth, to the reason why it is important to come in for heart issues. Healthy mouth =healthy heart. I have dental insurance so I have not experienced any issues with the billing department. I just sign the form that presnet to me letting me know what they would like to do next and how much the insurance covers. My kids ages 9 and 4 even enjoy coming. The assitants are warm and welcoming.

Dr. Houske is a great dentist. He is friendly, funny, and honest. He gets to know his patients and takes time examining their teeth and answering any questions or addressing any concerns they might have. All the staff in his office and the office next door(where they do the teeth cleanings) are all very friendly, professional, and efficient. I leave this office with clean teeth and a smile every time I go. I definitely recommend this office. Plus Dr. Houske went to USC FIGHT ON!

I have been a customer for years at Island Dental. Dr. Houske is a great dentist who has staffed his office with friendly, experienced and knowledgable people.  I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They really educate you on preventative care. I really appreciate the extra time they take to explain things

This has been my second time visiting Dr. Houske and i had an amazing experience the times i been their. He is very knowledgeable. I had gone to a different dentist before and was told that i needed a root canal and a crown but once i went with him, he was able to save my tooth by just doing a filling because of him i saved a lot of money. The staff is also great and very friendly. The office is always clean and you feel welcomed. I recommend Island Dental.

All I can say is Fabulous! A BIG Thank You Thank You to Dr. Houske and crew, Lily and Denise! They are changing my Smile which is changing my LIFE! My experience with Island Dental in Carson is beyond Professionalism and the service provided to me is beyond Dentistry. It’s been awhile since I have been in the “Chair” and the staff made me feel comfortable. I didn’t believe it was possible but I left the Carson office with a half numb smile laughing as I was walking out the door! That is how Enjoyable my Experience has been every time I visited Island Dental and I can’t wait to see the Results on My Final Smile! Sincerely, Brandie.

My wife came in to remove her too wisdom teeth and booyyyy were we surprised how easy it was! We were both laughing and surprised of how fast Dr Houske made it happen! He was so great at informing and keeping us both at ease! Hi five to the entire team too, they are wonderful!! Highly recommend!

No one really enjoys going to dentist, as rule…However, the team of Dr. Chip Houske is over the top professional, everyone treats you like a queen or king, and it is a “pain free zone”…or experience! While you are laying wait for ‘the juice’ to kick in, one hears a corridor of laughter, and Dr. Chip pleasantly chatting with patients about their procedures, making it sound quite the opposite of daunting! I travel from Lake Tahoe to see our favorite family and friends’ Dentist, Dr. Chip–and am happy to do so, it is the best overall dental experience I have ever had! His staff is remarkable as well!

I had a root canal in the morning with Dr. Delgado and it went perfect. Then next door to Island Dental that afternoon to see Dr. Chip Houske who took care of me and my temp crown. The entire Island Dental office is so professional and made me feel so comfortable. Chip knows his stuff and I am very happy. Thank you Island Dental for taking such great care of me and by the way I love the music in the office.
