Dr. Hong is hands down the best dentist I’ve ever had. Actually, the best doctor I’ve ever had across all the specialties. She truly cares about her patients, and you feel 100% taken care of, whether it be a routine check up or a dental emergency. I’ve never had a doctor care so much. I’m in the midst of a dental emergency right now, and she was easily accessible (even on a day the office was closed), to get me taken care of until I can see her to get this issue fixed. I’ve never experienced that before, anywhere in health care. If only all doctors could exhibit this kind of patient care, whether they be primary care physicians, or whatever speciality, our health care system would be a better place. Oh, and Chris (I believe her name is), who handles the front desk, is the epitome of perfect customer service. She goes above and beyond to work with your schedule, handle the insurance, and make sure you’re always informed about what’s happening behind the scenes. I’m so impressed by the care here. Thank you, Dr. Hong!

Dr Janice Hong is the most friendliest, honest, and professional dentist I’ve had in 52 years! She explains step by step what to expect throughout the procedure which eases the anxiety level! She also doesn’t try to sell you other treatments you don’t need! Dentists, who are honest and genuinely caring like her, are very hard to come by!!

I love Dr. Hong and everyone in the office! I have been coming to the office my whole life and my parents, brother and grandma comes to JJ Family Dental. With COVID-19 the whole office is so clean (like always) and everyone has a smile on their face, even if it’s under their mask. 🙂

I have had the worst luck in finding the dentist I felt comfortable with in the past. However, Dr. Hong and her office staff create an environment where I feel extremely comfortable and I know I am being well taken care of. From scheduling, prepping for procedure, and actually getting the treatment, every process was done professionally and I feel very comfortable whenever I go to my dentist. I know many people have been reluctant to be going out since the pandemic but Dr. Hong’s office has created an environment where I feel very safe because of the meticulous precaution in place. During my treatment, Dr. Hong has been very thorough not only in treating my pain but also explaining in detail every step of the way in manner I can easily understand. They also have been very accommodating to make sure I get my treatment in timely manner by working with my complex schedule. I really appreciate everything the staff and Dr. Hong have done for me.

I almost fell asleep while getting a filling. Absolutely no pain and best experience at the dentist ever. If all dentist were like Dr. Hong, I would have gone to the dentist more often, and I would have great teeth now.

Best Dental Services Around! I have been going since 2003 and this Dr Hong truly cares for her patients. The entire office is full of friendly staff members and it is always a great time when I come in. They will work with you around your schedule when you need a visit and are very detailed in their cleaning. More importantly, they are trustworthy and will not recommend a procedure unless you understand exactly what is required. Would 100% recommend!

Dr Hong and staff were very friendly and efficient. I had x-rays and a cleaning performed in just over an hour. Admittedly I hadn’t been to the dentist in several years before my appointment (Sat. 10/12/19) w/ Dr Hong and they didn’t even give me a hard time about it! I was pleasantly surprised. Fortunately my dental health is good for the most part, just needed a good cleaning. I was given a few tips for better dental hygiene and keeping my teeth protected. We discovered a small chip and some signs of stress on a couple of my front teeth, likely from impact during basketball activities. I left my appointment with my teeth feeling cleaner than they have in a long time! Definitely would recommend Dr Hong and staff!

An excellent dentist and office staff. My entire family is greatly pleased with the expertise and professionalism that we receive. If a procedure needs to be done, it is explained why and how. Follow up appointments are treated timely. Look no further for dental care than JJ Family Dental.

Dr. Hong is awesome. She explains everything very carefully and lays out all options. She doesn’t try and nickel and dime you for every procedure. I have been going here for the past 5 years or longer. I really enjoy the service.

I absolutely hate going to the dentist but if I have to go Doctor Hong definitely makes you feel better about it. She is super sweet, personable, always smiling, and her staff is very nice and they really do a good job of helping you feel as comfortable as you can. Aside from her personality she fixed my tooth that chipped, which has been chipped about 3 times now, and my previous orthodontist who fixed it twice never got it to stay. Ever since doctor hong fixed it i haven’t had to go back to get it fixed again and it’s been over 3 years now :). I highly recommend this place.

Dr. Hong is a great dentist. She is thorough in how she explains all the step by step procedures before she proceeds. She is very friendly and helps you to have the most pleasant and relaxing of an experience as is possible at a dentist. She is by far the best dentist I’ve had in over 5 decades of going to dentists. I highly recommend her. Her assistants reflect her friendliness and professionalism as well.

They have a great staff and extremely clean facility. You’re treated like a guest in a very friendly yet professional office. Dr Hong is very easy to deal with and everything is done very efficiently. I’ve been very happy and recommend you give them a visit. The experience will definitely make you return. I’m right now finishing up a procedure myself. It’s been three visits and the total time is less than an hour inclusive of walking in and out to and from my car. That should tell you something.

Dr. Hong came to the rescue today. She has been our dentist ever since she took over the practice and we have been nothing but pleased. Today was above and beyond, she saved the day. My husband was in tremendous jaw pain for the last three days. This morning I told him he better get to either Urgent Care or the ER.  Since it was only 6:30, it was Los Alamitos ER. Many hours later after pain meds and a suggestion to see our dentist, I took a chance and called the office expecting to leave a message. Dr. Hong took him right away.  After X-rays showed he needed a root canal, it was taken care of.  He’s already on the road to recovery and our trip to visit on son on Monday is not cancelled. Fantastic dentist, office staff (thank you, Chris, for putting up with all my calls), and top notch service.

Dr. Hong & staff have proven to be exceptional professionals. I’ve been a patient of Dr.Hong’s five+years and have received consistently excellent dental work. They are friendly individuals who appear to enjoy what they do. I think this creates a warm environment despite the cavity drilling lol or teeth cleaning. Kudos to Cris who is also super friendly while being on top of all of billing/ insurance questions.

Best dentist ever. After being dissatisfied with several dentist over the years, a friend recommended Dr. Hong. I have been going here for the past 3 years getting regular cleanings, crowns and fillings. Staff is super friendly and Dr. Hong is the best.

Nice friendly staff and “honest” dentist! With my history of horrible dentists throughout my childhood to adulthood, I had changed multiple times and always dreaded going for check-ups! When I found JJ Family Dental I didn’t know what to expect, but after our first visit I knew this was going to be our family dentist!!! The staff was super kind while I was pregnant and didn’t even mind us bringing our infant in with us for our check-ups. We now look forward to dental visits. Dr. Hong is amazing and we just adore her!

I have been going to this dentist office since I was about 3 or 4 years old, back when it was owned by Dr. Cooper. As much as I was sad to see him retire, I couldn’t be happier with Dr. Hong buying his practice. Her and her staff are all such kind, personable people, and I really enjoy stepping into that office- Very nicely remodeled office 🙂

I have been going to this Dental practice for 42 years. When Dr. Hong took over there was no change in the professionalism of the dental staff and office staff; OUTSTANDING! Very caring, knowledgeable, a real sense of calm and true care for the patients. There are a few new staff members and they are just as GREAT as their predecessors. If you have even a slight fear or unpleasant past dental experiences, I can highly recommend Dr. Hong and her staff. Your fears will be alleviated upon your first visit.

Let’s face it, nobody (normal) likes to visit the dentist. But if you need to this is the one you want to go to. Dr. Hong makes everything as comfortable as possible and somehow is able to time the anesthesia so the numbness wears off and you are still pain free when you walk out the door instead of leaving you feeling like your face is in your shirt pocket for the rest of the day. Highly recommended by a lifelong dentist avoider.

Dr. Hong and her staff are amazing. This is the only dental office I have been to that doesn’t scare me. My family and I love everything about this practice, including the free coffee.
