I’m of the same mind of the other person on here who has shocked herself by writing a review about her dentist, but Dr. Adomian and his team deserve every positive star on here. I have been coming to see Dr. Adomian and his staff since moving back to CA almost 10 years ago, and I have referred many family members and friends to him. Formerly on the west side, I now live an hour away but I happily make the trek to see Dr. Adomian and his team. He and his staff are the best that I have ever been to. Marilyn makes the scheduling and insurance part so easy, Christina is the most patient and funny hygienist I have ever met, his assistant is extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and I am happy to say that I have never had a more kind and thorough dentist. Dr. Adomian explains everything from procedures to options so well, and I never feel like he is in a rush or that there is an up-sell or pressure to do anything more than I am comfortable with. I feel fortunate to have found a dentist like him! He’s assembled the most caring and smart team and it shows. I bring my mom in to see him when she is in town too, and they always find a way to fit her in and take great care of her. The only complaint someone might have is about parking, but it’s not a big deal as you can park around the corner for free for 2 hours instead of using the meters in front of his office.

This doctor is an absolute BOSS! I’m no fan of dentists. But this one really changed my view. I needed root canal therapy and I was very worried about the pain. Dr Adomian went through the entire procedure and I literally didn’t feel a thing. Not even the anesthetic. How is that even possible? 5 stars all the way!

Wow. Came here via recommendation after being without a cleaning for 7 years for lack of dental insurance. 1) Making the appointment: I called, marilyn the receptionist was pleasant and the next available was within 3 weeks. I was told right away that the appointment would take 2 hours. 2) Clarifying my health insurance benefits: I called a couple days before my appointment. I had to give Marilyn my insurance plan, group, and ID number. She called me back the same day to let me know my benefits. (phew! exam, xrays, cleaning all covered :D) 3) The appointment: Office was clean and modern. Filled out some paperwork, and soon after I was taken inside. The staff has AWESOME bedside manner. ernesto the dental assistant, Dr. Adomian, Sheila the hygienist.. they ALL explained to me what procedure they were about to do, why they do it, and what discomfort it might impart; and built genuine rapport that didnt feel forced, cold or artificial

I broke a tooth on Father’s Day (2010) and called Dr Adomian on his cell phone. As I wasn’t in pain he said to come in on Monday and he would take care of it. I live in Thousand Oaks… over the course of the hour it took me to drive to his office in Santa Monica I thought of the dreadful experience I’d face. The glop he’d put in my mouth to make a mold to produce the cap, the novocaine, the drilling, the temporary cap, then the return visit a week later, etc. Instead, Dr Adomian’s staff took a digital X-ray, which was immediately put up on a computer monitor in front of me and then Dr Adomian came to to begin the process which included the use of 3D imagining. Dr Adomian himself crafted the cap, again on a computer that was right next to me, and produced the final cap in his office. In other words… not gloppy mold, no temporary cap, no return visit (there was still the novocaine and drilling)… and in 90 minutes I was finished and out the door (I am a geek… the 90 minutes didn’t include the extra 15 minutes Dr Adomian spent with me discussing the technology and showing me how they took the 3D data and produced the cap in a machine in his office that is no bigger than a microwave oven). The best part… I was expecting pain that night… nothing, nada, zip. If you are like me and hate going to the dentist I highly recommend giving Dr Adomian a call. I may have to start going more often.

Me? Giving 5 stars to a dentist? I’ve shocked myself! So those of you who know me in real life know that I am the. worst. dental. patient. ever. And I read all these yelp reviews of dentists where everyone’s all “I’m such an anti-dentite but I love going to Dr. So-and-so.” No, I’m pretty sure I’ve got you beat. I cry at dental cleanings. I cry getting check-ups. And my teeth aren’t *that bad* that I’m a cash cow for a dentist. So basically, they have to put up with my debilitating phobia for no good reason.Anyways, I got a referral to Dr. Adomian from one of my colleagues. He’s located on the swanky Montana strip, right by Roosevelt Elementary. There’s on-street metered parking and free parking on a lot of the side streets, though I usually take the bus because of my anxiety. The waiting area feels more like a little house with laminate floors and some of the charm you see in older Santa Monica buildings. And it doesn’t smell like a dentist’s office which is always a plus. The exam rooms are separate from one another though don’t have doors. Everything is really clean, but not super-high tech like those dental spas where you’re catching up on the latest sitcoms while simultaneously getting a foot massage. In “Goldilocks and the Three Little Bears” land, everything is “just right.” Not unmodern or unclean where you’d doubt yourself for letting someone stick sharp pointy things in your mouth, but also not uber-high-tech where you think it’s all just smoke and mirrors. Just, comfortable. Or as comfortable as you can be when you’ve already taken a valium to go for a cleaning and your heart is racing and tears are running down your face. I told you I’m a dental-phobe.

I needed to find a Santa Monica dentist and based on my insurance and Yelp reviews, I went with Dr. Adomian. I had a really amazing dentist where I grew up on the east coast, and I just assumed that I wouldn’t be able to find another dentist that I liked nearly as much. I’d tried other LA dentists that I hadn’t really liked. But my check-ups here are just really pleasant experiences. Dr. Adomian is great, and the dental hygienist I usually see is also fantastic. I’ve been really pleased with all my experiences here. (I will add as a disclaimer, though, that I am a fairly low-maintenance dental patient. I haven’t had any dental work beyond cleanings since a cavity in high school, so I can’t speak to their more intensive dental work like root canals or crowns and such.)

Best Dentist and Hygienist team EVER!! I have been seeing Dr. Adomian for a few years now, and my entire family also now goes here too. I even recently moved out of state, but religiously come back twice a year for my cleanings and check ups. He is the nicest and sweetest dentist I have ever been to. He has a very patient and gentle manner. His Hygienists are amazing as well… always greeting me with a smile and some fun stories and laughs. I actually enjoy going to the dentist now! Dr. Adomian also diagnosed an issue that my previous dentist had caused and helped me remediate it by recommending me to an amazing Endodontist and Periodontist that could help. Highly recommended!

Dr. Adomian and staff are highly recommended by me. I have now had a couple crowns done by him. Both were well done. In addition, he has the equipment to make the crown on location which is a huge convenience. Another office recommended I have three crown done. I was skeptical. Talking to him, we decided only one was necessary. I am a business owner and I carefully evaluate who I’ll do business with and I approach a dentist the same way. He just seems very competent. I wish all my vendors in business functioned as well as this office. The billing is done accurately and timely.

I broke my tooth last night and in addition to stressing about that, i also tend to get anxiety about going to see a Dentist. I was referred to Dr. Adomian by a friend and WOW was she right. I called, they called back at first light, got me in, made me comfortable, Dr. Adomian was super gentle, clear about what he needed to do and remarkably quick. He saw a cavity while he was fixing my tooth and just fixed it on the spot while my mouth was still numb. THIS DENTIST!!! REALLY TERRIFIC!!!! Not to mention his staff, Norma at the front desk, Patty and all the dental assistants were AMAZING!!!! Thank you! I feel GREAT!

My kids and I have been going to see Dr. Adomian for 12 years, even after we left Santa Monica. And even after he stopped taking our dental insurance. Marilyn, who runs the front office, is fantastic. You get a postcard reminder, plus a phone call reminder for all appointments. She goes above and beyond to fit us in. I found John Adomian when my hygienist, Kristina Esposito, took a position at his office. Knowing Kristina Esposito ONLY works for the top dentists, it was a no brainer to follow her there.Dr. Adomian is an excellent dentist. What I truly like about him is his soft spoken, straight forward manner. He talks you out of things you don’t need rather than just give you what you want for the sake of making the money. I have had some trouble with dentists in the past so I am a very nervous dental patient. I went to Dr. Adomian’s office for a dental cleaning and also because I had a crown put on last year and it was bothering me. I got a fantastic and practically pain free dental cleaning (I have very sensitive gums, so this is really a miracle for me) and Dr. Adomian put on a new crown in two subsequent visits. I was extremely nervous about my appointments to put on the new crown, but Dr. Adomian did an amazing job minimizing my discomfort and the great experience was truly eye opening for me especially when compared to other dentists I have visited. Dr. Adomian and his staff are professional, friendly, and punctual (important when you are going straight to work after the dentist). The office is clean and comfortable and there is nearby free neighborhood parking. I whole-heartedly recommend Dr. Adomian.

Can’t say enough great things about Dr. Adomian and his entire team! I’ve been going to him for more than ten years, and my family now goes to him as well (including my mom who lives out of the country and who Marilyn magically finds a way to squeeze on to the calendar). Walking into his office is like having the opportunity to see old friends, they are all personable, knowledgeable and put you at ease instantly. Dr. Adomain is also always cognizant of insurance coverage and out of pocket costs, helping you plan out procedures when needed. That I brave LA traffic to see him after moving out of the nieghborhood and that I continue to see him despite job and insurance changes says a lot. A dentist that is available after hours if I am in pain…it’s unheard of but not with Dr. Adomian. He genuinely cares about his patients and it shows, and the environment created and fostered by his team is superb!

I don’t have insurance, so I used to go to Tijuana across the border for cheaper dentists. I can not begin to tell you of the horror I went through! Every time I went to the dentist which was once a week, I lost a day at work, waited long lines at the border coming back and to make matters worst I got a root canal on a tooth that I was going to loose anyway!. Don’t get me wrong there are good dentist in Tijuana, lots of friends got good dental work. Not everything was bad I got some good tacos at the local mercado and amazing tequilas at a warehouse but no luck with my dental work. Back in the States my boss told me to try Dr. Adomian. I can not begin to tell you how blessed I feel, why didn’t I listen to my boss a year ago and saved my self so much misery! Dr. Adomian and his team are as good as it gets when it comes to dental care. I’m a true dental phobic and for good reason given some of my early dental care. In the 8+ years I’ve been a patient of Dr. Adomian’s, I have been constantly impressed with the care and treatment I’ve received. Whether a routine cleaning, an easy filling replacement, or a more complex matter (I’ve had it all!), I’ve always been treated with respect and concern. He’s provided great advice when it comes to the more complex matters…it’s always about what’s right for me vs. the most expensive treatment. I’ve referred a couple friends and have always received a call/note afterwards from my friends thanking me for turning them onto an office/dentist that really puts the patient first.
