My experience with Dr. Carabelaian has been, hands down, the greatest I’ve ever had with any doctor, ever. Never have I seen this type of caring, friendliness, or availability in any doctor, especially in New York City. I really couldn’t say enough good things about him, or his staff, who also maintain the same tenets. They treat you like family there, and go far out of their way to help you. They all are truly the greatest!

I was having a toothache for about a month and decided to find a new dentist to check it out. I randomly chose this Doctor even though he had very few ratings, but I am so glad I did! He told me that I needed a root canal and he was so gentle from start to finish. He is genuine and professional. His office is clean. His staff is very nice and actually doesn’t give you an attitude and he is on time. I think I found my permanent Dentist!

I high fived Dr. Carabelaian on my way out of my first appointment with him. I’ve been irrationally afraid of dentists for as long as I can remember, and this was the first visit I’ve ever had that didn’t have me welling up in tears. He’s so great! Such a sweet man, very caring, and explains things in a logical way that isn’t condescending or pandering in any way. I can’t recommend him enough!

I was referred to Dr. Carabelaian through a co-worker and I’ve had no regrets. In a city where its so hard to find hard-working and ethical dentists, it’s great to find a talented dentist who will work to get you the best deal to work with your insurance. His work is meticulous, and while his demeanor seems aloof and stern at times(He cracked a smile with his receptionist the last time I was in and I almost fainted; I can see him playing Dr. Frankenstein in a tongue and cheek manner), his handiwork speaks for him. do not be put off…trust the dentist. He crafted caps for my coworker that looked like real teeth. He did a root canal on me that left me with so littel residual pain I was surprised. I am waiting to see his crown work but expect it will be perfect. His hygienist is lighthanded and very, very thorough. Be forewarned, floss and brush as per her instructions or you will be reprimanded at the next cleaning. The other staff are friendly and helpful. The office is clean and very professional. A note, be on time. Dr. Carabelaian starts on time and appreciates the respect for his schedule.

He was very friendly. He didn’t make you feel uncomfortable at all…as if you were at the dentist. Beautiful office! And the staff was amazing. Although I know teeth is their specialty, I was still embarrassed to know that my cleaning took longer than I thought. But they were very respectful…and I (kind of) can’t wait for my next cleaning! 🙂

Best dentist I’ve been to in 20 years. Clean office, precise work, and great location. The Dr. has a fun personality and makes even the most uncomfortable procedures painless. I haven’t been had a dental check-up for a few years due to relocating to a new city + insurance issues. It finally caught up with me and I had to get into an appointment ASAP. I was referred to Dr. Carabelaian who made accommodations for me on short notice. He was professional, informative, considerate and handsome 🙂 With all the work he had to do, he was still able to got me out in an hour. The part I dread the most is a sore tender mouth from having tools gouged at my teeth – but Dr. Carabelaian was quick, precise, and painless!

I’ve been going to Dr. Carabelaian since I was 10 years old. I had to get a root canal that same year because I was eating ice and half of my tooth broke of (DO NOT EAT ICE). As an 11 year old going to the dentist’s office to get a notoriously painful procedure I was terrified, but Dr. C was phenomenal! The procedure did take a while and I had to get a crown after the root canal, but it was not painful in the slightest! With every tooth cleaning, I chat with the dentist, he tells me to floss, and I leave. His staff is also extremely professional and sweet. The office is super clean and the receptionist Alicia is the best! I highly recommend this dentist and his staff to anyone!!!

How many times have you heard someone say that they love their dentist? I do!! The staff is great and I am never hesitant to make my appointments because I know that it is always a pleasant experience. Even when I did not have dental insurance, I still came here because the costs are so reasonable. Very professional office and a nice location, to boot (right on the south side of Central Park, 2 doors down from the N/Q/R trains at 5th Avenue & 59th Street).

As a reflection of his supreme workmanship, one patient compared Dr. Carabelaian to Rembrandt by stating that his work is meticulous! Dr. Carabelaian specializes in laminates, crowns, bridgework, root canal treatment, extractions, implant restoration, and INVISALIGN aligner therapy. In his spare time, Dr. Carabelaian's hobbies include poetry, photography, and exercise. The majority of Dr. Carabelaian's patients come from New York City, but he also proudly caters to the greater communities from New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania.
