I’m really glad I found Dr. Vo and her staff. I have a deep phobia of dentists and needles and have avoided dental work for a very long time due to a combination of fear and embarrassment. I have been through 6 dentists in my 70 yo life, and they have all been long term. Dr. Vo is my most recent, the successor to my last 2 San Francisco dentists, so she had a lot to live up to. I have had 4 implants, 2 sets of full crowns, a bridge, and numerous veneers. My teeth have always been a problem since I was a kid with grinding and a bad bite. Now that my bite has FINALLY been fixed properly, I no longer clench & grind. My experience with Dr. Vo now has been outstanding. 3 crown replacements (one on a new implant). numerous excellent cleanings, and a very flexible accommodating schedule. The location is very convenient with BART/MUNI or driving. She always makes time for me when I have emergencies, and she books starting 8am! Having a dentist doing intricate restorative/replacement work with smaller delicate fingers is something to be appreciated and valued…. like an artist

Dentist is one of the services, where one relies on judgment of another for his/her own well being. It is important and takes time to develop trust. I had come to know Dr Vo through recommendation and stay with them for many years. The doctor and staff are always professional and have never steered me wrong. Every visit is always pleasant, professional, and with great attention to your need and well being. I tend to get nervous with very sensitive gag reflex. Both the doctor and all the staff are very patient and always take the time to guide me through the process. It is such an important detail, as most of patients are unable to vocalize during the operation. I would highly recommend them, you will be in good hands!

I can tell it helps. Transferred to Katherine’s practice from Daniel Mariani with whom I was with for over 20 years. Immediately impressed with her attention to detail, expertise and consideration of the patient. Dr. Vo’s professional detail to her client care, thorough follow-up and overall professionalism were contributing factors to why I left a family dentist of nearly ten years to be a regular client at her practice. In the eight years of being a patient of Dr. Vo’s, I can truthfully say that I’ve never had an experience, whether it be minor or surgical in procedure, that left me in pain, discomfort or had me second guess her recommendations. The range of specific services that she has provided me personally as her patient include work on crowns, root canals, general cleanings and mouth guard creation, to name a few. She hasn’t missed a step in any of these appointments as I’ve been able to address concerns before they arise/surface, given her knowledge and attention to detail. Dr. Vo is the best dentist I have ever experienced. When Dr. Mairani sold his practice to Dr. Vo, I was worried because I really liked Dr. Mairani. Dr. Vo exceeded my expectations and then some. We moved from the San Francisco area about 3 years ago, yet I continued to see Dr. Vo when I traveled to San Francisco for business, which was often enough to keep seeing her. With COVID, I have not been traveling to San Francisco and am going to find a dentist in Bend. I am so disappointed to switch from Dr. Vo and cannot imagine anyone meeting her standard of care. She is professional, courteous, gives no nonsense advice, doesn’t try to upsell to unnecessary services, cosmetic or otherwise, and takes a hands on approach to cleaning and care (i.e. she doesn’t do a 30-second fly by to check the work of the dental hygienist — she does a lot of work herself). Going to a dentist is never a pleasant experience in my mind, but Dr. Vo makes it as pleasant as possible

I have been very pleased with the smooth transition of my dental care from Dr. Mairani to Dr. Vo. In fact, I have recommended to my girlfriend that she switch from her dentist to Dr. Vo due to the excellent care I have received. When I lost the cap on my tooth this week I really appreciated Ana’s help in scheduling me for an appointment the next morning and Dr. Vo’s immediate care and resolution of the problem. Dr Vo provides detailed patient care. She has all the latest dental technology to discover hard to find cavities. She replaced many of my old fillings that were breaking down and added crowns where need. She explains everything she is doing and has been totally excellent! I don’t write many Yelp reviews but I felt the need to do so for Dr. Vo ahd her staff. Everyone is extremely nice and professional. Every visit has been efficient and painless. Her office has great equipment where they take pictures to make sure you understand why they’re recommending certain procedures. She also goes the extra mile to make you feel comfortable because she walks you through every step and makes sure that you are given the opportunity to ask questions or voice concerns every step of the way. They also provide stellar customer service! I received a thank you card after my first visit. Then, after my procedure, Dr. Vo herself called and left a voicemail to make sure that I was feeling okay. You know you’ll be in good hands with Dr. Vo!

I’ve been seeing Doctor Vo for over 8 years now. She is very professional, friendly and considerate. What I really like about Doctor Vo is she’s always communicating with you what is happening while she’s working on your teeth. She explains what the issue is and your options to fix it. Doctor Vo is also appreciative of her patient’s time; I don’t think I ever waited more than 10 minutes to be seen. Also, if you happen to need some work done, she will squeeze you in while you’re still there if the timing is right. Her office is located in a convenient location – a 5 to 10-minute walk from the Financial District or BART. And last but not least, Doctor Vo takes care not to cause you pain – I practically doze off while in the dentist chair. I can’t say enough nice things about Doctor Vo – she’s an excellent dentist and a very nice person.

I feel comfortable with all off them beginning my cleanings and they all provided thoughtful and excellent care. I had a great first experience here. I booked my appointment on ZocDoc and Anna promptly followed up with me over the phone to get my insurance information and dental records sorted. When I arrived for my appointment I was seen immediately, and Dr. Vo was very friendly, thorough, and efficient. She gave me one of the best cleanings I’ve ever had and explained everything that she was doing along the way. Dr. Katherine Vo received her D.D.S. degree from the University of California, San Francisco in 2004 and has been honored to be providing excellent dental care to patients in the San Francisco Bay Area over the past decade. Dr. Vo is committed to remain current on the latest dental advances with ongoing continuing education and involvement in the prestigious Spear Education Faculty Club. She holds fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry. In addition, Dr. Vo is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor at UCSF School of Dentistry. She works closely with dental students in the Community Dental Clinic providing oral health education and free dental treatment, while cultivating sensitivity and comfort in interactions with San Francisco homeless population. She is held in high esteem by her peers in the San Francisco Dental Society as she was chosen to Chair the Peer Review committee to help manage patient-doctor issues and disputes. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Vo enjoys reading legal thriller novels, explores gastronomy, trains for a new athletic challenge, and plans her next travel destination with her husband David and son Brayden.
