Best dentist in town! I had to go to three different offices after a botched root canal and my pain either got worse or I was referred to an Endodontist that quoted me at several thousand dollars co-pay even with insurance. Finally found Dr. Kim who was able to repair the damage that same week and did a wonderful job. Two weeks later and there’s no more pain and swelling at all. I wish I had gone here the first time. They didn’t even charge me the co-pay! Finally found a dentist that cares more about the health and comfort of his patients than nickel and diming everyone that walks in. Highly recommend.

I had a very pleasant experience at Dr. Kim’s office. The office was very inviting and actually quite pretty. I’ve had horrible experiences in previous dental offices so I was skeptical trying a new office but I’m glad I gave Dr. Kim’s office a chance. Since day once they have been very helpful. They take time to explain the treatments to me, notify me before time if my insurance doesn’t cover a treatment, they work with my schedule to fit me into their schedule. I highly recommend this office to any person that’s had a bad experience in any dental office.

I had 4 wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Kim over the last month. My 2 bottom teeth were impacted so i decided to have each side done at a time. After the local anesthesia injections, I anxiously waited about 20 mins then the whole surgery only took approx 15 mins. I have to admit, Dr. Kim was quick yet gentle at the same time which made the whole process easy on myself, a real professional. He also kept checking to make sure you are doing ok the whole surgery. I was blessed that i was recovered super quick, would be able to eat almost normally after 3 days. The staffs are friendly too. I would recommend him for wisdom teeth extractions.

I went to this dentist for my wisdom teeth. After looking at some reviews on (the internet), I figured that this was the place to me (…) When I arrived there, I was quickly serviced (even after being late due to traffic) and the xrays were very quick. They do not use film and their laptop is in the xray area so you can even see what your xrays look like. After xrays, I was quickly moved to an available room where the Dr Kim quickly arrived and did my quick examination. Today, I went in for my wisdom teeth and oh my what an experience. I thought it was going to be very very difficult, but the staff talked with me prior to the actual operation to help me relax. Once the actual procedure started, Dr Kim constantly talked to me to make sure I was doing okay. If I seemed like something was bothering me, he quickly stopped momentarily, checked up on me, and resumed. I had 3 wisdom teeth pulled out and the actual procedure itself was so short! It’s been about 9 hours since the operation now and I feel very little pain without medication, no swelling, and I’m able to open my mouth fine. Overall, this office is a great dentist practice, serviced by great people, and a great doctor. The staff is very friendly and Dr Kim is just amazing. This place is definitely a place to continue to visit.

My whole family has been going to Dr. Kim for two years now and we’ve all been taken care of in the very best way. This dentist office is fast and efficient but with care and gentleness. Personally, I come here for all my teeth cleaning, whitening, and filling and I have always left happy and satisfied with the result. Just today I came in for a wisdom teeth extraction which I expected to be long and painful. However, under Dr. Kim’s kind and thorough care, I was perfectly numb, pain-free and out in less than thirty minutes. They even have me a stress ball and the dentist assistant talked me through the whole fifteen minute process! All the staff is very knowledgeable and the aftercare leaves you feeling stress and worry free. The front desk always works around my availability and are very flexible to accommodate both my work and school schedule. Honestly, finding a good dentist is hard especially with insurance. Dr. Kim is the best there is!!!

The best dentist I’ve ever been to! Went there for my wisdom teeth extraction and it went so smoothly. They were so friendly and professional, and definitely made me feel at ease during the entire process. Since the moment I walked in, the receptionist greeted me politely and explained the paperwork to me patiently. Afterwards, I got my X-rays done and then was taken to one of the rooms to get my consultation. Decided to take all four wisdom teeth out then and there. They used numb shots for local anesthesia. I have trauma from numb shots in the past, so I was a bit nervous, but wow! Definitely the least painful experience with numb shots (of course it still hurt a bit, but I mean they’re needles going into your gum!). They needed the anesthesia to kick in before the extractions, but in the mean time, I got some teeth cleaning done. 🙂 The extractions itself took only 5 mins!! 5 MINS! Haha that’s faster than a starbucks during order coming out. I didn’t feel a thing, though I did feel some pressure. I listened to my iPod the whole time, so I was surprised when shortly after he told me I was finished. Barely any swelling. GO HERE FOR YOUR WISDOM TEETH EXTRACTIONS! I’m four teeth less wiser, but I’ve never felt better about my oral hygiene. 🙂

Prior to finding Dr. Kim, I had been making the hour-long drive to see my family’s long-time dentist (in the Pasadena area). You have to understand that my family LOVES our long-time dentist. In fact, although my parents and brother all now live in the San Francisco area, they come down to see the family dentist twice a year. However, after seeing Dr. Kim for the past few years, I am confident to recommend him here on Yelp. I’ve been seeing Dr. Kim for about 2 years now and have been satisfied with all of the work that he has done. I’ve gone to him for x-rays, cleanings, to have cavities filled, and for a deep cleaning (due to some gum issues that had). Dr. Kim and his staff, from the front desk to the hygienist, are all very friendly and competent. Even for regular cleanings, Dr. Kim takes the time to stop by, say hello, and ask how things are going. I also appreciate that their offices are open on Saturdays, which is convenient for those who are unable to schedule dental appointments for the middle of the week.

I hadn’t been to a dentist in years, a really bad decision, and was therefore terrified about going to the dentist. I finally mustered up the courage and went in and I had to get a lot of work done (2 root canals). And like I mentioned before I was completely terrified and started freaking out a bit when I was in the chair and he was starting to work on my teeth. It honestly couldn’t have been easy for him to focus on his work with such a difficult patient, but he helped calm me down and it was nowhere near as painful as I was imagining it to be. I had to go a few mores time because my teeth were really bad and each time Dr. Kim was efficient, careful and overall just a really good dentist. He definitely helped to get rid of my insane fear of dentists in general.

Wonderful doctor and staff with so much experience and patience. I wish I had gone sooner. I was referred here by my friend (who happens to be the daughter of Dr. Kim) and I seriously haven’t stopped telling my friends about this dentist. I got my wisdom teeth removed (two different times. Top two , Bottom two). This is by far the BEST experience I’ve had. Both times I had very very very minimal swelling. He took 9 minutes per tooth too! He’s had SO much experience doing free medical missions trips where taking out teeth is now second nature to him. GET YOUR WISDOM TEETH REMOVED HERE. I give people funny looks when they said their wisdom teeth experience was like going to hell – uhh definitely both my instances dictated otherwise. They also threw in teeth cleaning while at it. The office is very beautiful and totally legit with high-tech equipment. They are mostly Korean workers but fluently bilingual. They are very calm and nice people. I love going here (when I need to) and I refer ALL my UCSD friends here who have SHIP. All of them come back with positive experiences. Thanks so much. I felt very cared for and honored as a patient.

I was referred here through a friend and realized the hype wasn’t for nothing. The appointment making process was very easy with the super sweet staff (…). I initially came in for wisdom teeth extraction but soon discovered I had a couple cavities that needed to be regulated stat. The X-Rays & the extraction of my wisdom teeth happened all in one day. I went back a couple times to remove the stitches and rid my teeth of its cavities. Walked out of there, (my teeth) feelin’ like a million bucks. Dr. Kim and his staff are seriously the best. I have to say, this was the best dental experience ever! Considering this was my first major operation, I was super nervous, but the front desk staff and the dentist made me feel very comfortable. I came in, signed some paperwork, and was put into the x-ray room right away (literally no wait time!!). I went into the room for some consultation and chose to take out all 4 of my wisdom teeth on the spot. The operation took less than 20 minutes!! Even with my impacted, curved bottom teeth that were near my nerves. He was really good at avoiding the nerve and he made the process as comfortable as possible. There was some pressure, but barely any pain because of the local anesthetic (I had to get an extra shot during the operation because it was hurting a bit, but it kicked in right away). They were really good at explaining what to do during the recovery period and I left satisfied, yet swollen (it wasn’t TOO bad, but I did look like a goldfish the next day). I’m definitely recommending this place to anyone who needs to get their wisdom teeth removed!

I don’t often write reviews on help, but I had to write one after my visit to Dr. Kim. I’ve gone to multiple dentists in the San Diego area and Dr. Kim is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. His office is very high tech (I’ve never seen digital x-rays before) and they do a good job in telling you what procedures they are doing and why they are doing it. Finally, Dr. Kim is just a great dentist. He is very calm and patient and makes me feel really safe. I had to get multiple fillings done and a wisdom tooth extracted. It was by far the least painful oral surgical procedure I have ever experienced. Although most of the employees are Korean, they all speak fluent English. All in all, I highly recommend this dentist (…).
