Dr. Tanaka has been taking care of my teeth for over 5 years now and I can honestly say that he and his staff are the best dental team I have ever had. Dr. Tanaka offers his valuable time to thoroughly explain everything to my satisfaction. I would not go to another dentist even if they offered me free dental care, he is that good a dentist.

Dr. Tanaka has been taking care of my family’s dental health for many years. He is a very friendly professional doctor and thorough with his examination. Dr. Tanaka takes the time to explain his analysis of your dental health, the procedure he will perform and your treatment options. He will tell you what needs to be taken care of immediately and what you should watch for future treatment. His office has a very nice “aloha” atmosphere and his staff are all very nice and friendly. His modest office is warm and comfortable, unlike some of those practices with lots of chairs and doctors all running around everywhere. Dr. Tanaka and his team feel like family and I recommend my all family and friends to his practice.

Dr. Tanaka is a great dentist! He does tons of teaching and is very thorough. He gives you options for your care plan. I unfortunately need a lot of work done and he gave me different options with varying prices and let me decide which route I wanted to take without making me feel bad! It’s no pressure! I’ve also never had any dentist evaluate me for oral cancer – he really takes it up a notch! He is also very accommodating to my sensitive teeth and took care to avoid too cold or too hot temperatures. Highly recommend Dr. Tanaka!

He’s super! I was referred to him from my specialty dentist. I went in for a consultation a few months ago. His staff is very friendly, and so is the doc. Doc Tanaka took LOTS of time evaluating my case and explaining possible solutions. Although I didn’t treat my tooth with him this time due to the other tooth being treated by another doc., I’d definitely go back if the next chance comes up. He seemed to be a sincere, caring doc.

My mom and I have been patients of Dr. Tanaka’s for a very long time. In addition to being a great dentist, he’s also got a fun personality. When I was a little girl he used to let me put on gloves and a mask and be his “assistant” when my mom was in for her appointments. He’s just a very sweet man! (Just to be clear, he’s not a children’s dentist.) Whenever I hear people complain about their dentist I’m always quick to recommend him. Everyone I’ve sent to him end up loving him. I think it’s actually impossible not to. 🙂

About 10 years ago, my old dentist passed away from old age, so some friends referred me to Dr Tanaka, as their entire family uses him as their dentist. Its been about 10 years and I’m still with Dr. Tanaka, and very happy with him. He’s professional, has great bedside manners, and gets to know his patients on a personal level, like asking about my Ducks hockey, about my upcoming travel plans and such. To him, I am not just another client or number. His staff are courteous and great with patients. They remember when they worked with you (even though I had no clue) and make sure I am comfortable when I go in for a cleaning/ check up.

Dr. Tanaka was referred to me by a family member who has gone to this dentist for years. The office was able to get my +1 in for an emergency crown repair on short notice, and then got her back in shortly after for a follow-up and cleaning. I myself needed a new crown so I scheduled myself, too. First, I got a basic exam and teeth cleaning by Kelly. She was easy going and professional, and that part went (relatively) painless. I had gone to another place a few years back that practically butchered my mouth and made it hard to eat for a few days, so it was nice having someone who knew what she was doing. Afterwards, Dr. Tanaka took a look at my tooth with the missing crown and made a few recommendations, explaining both to me and the assistant/resident/student (I mean no disrespect, just not sure) what he wanted to do and why. I felt absolutely confident that I was getting the best possible care.

Doctor Tanaka is the best dentist that I found in my 26 years since moving from LA County to Orange County. Dr. Tanaka has seen my kids grow up, (i.e., they’re all adults now), taken excellent care of their teeth. Furthermore, he explained in a kind, funny, honest and non-threatening way, the reasons for flossing. Spoiler alert…, “Just floss the ones you want to keep.” His staff is very good. I do miss Nancy cuz she would call my husband at work (I.e., at my request; cuz my husband didn’t take oral hygiene seriously when he was a much younger man, now he does and he’s so much more heathier, overall) and surprise him with a humourous reminder to see Dr.Tanaka for a check update and cleaning (2xs a year).
Dr. Tanaka is a kind, honest, highly ethical & intelligent dentist. He takes the time to explain specifically with great detail the task at hand. He works collaboratively with me and gives me choices (e.g., gold or porcelain crown). I trust him and I am totally satisfied with the results. I went there last year and had to have quite a few procedures done. I was nervous at first but after talking with Dr. Tanaka I realized really fast that I was in great hands. He is very intelligent and does a great job putting your mind at ease. He is very articulative and extremely gentle when it comes to working on your teeth. I had major work done which took numerous trips to his office. I was always seated relatively quickly and worked on shortly there after. Dr. Tanaka was extremely professional and was very informative while explaining options aswell as post dental work treatment. And my favorite part was that he always hit the nerve perfectly while using the numbing agent. And to make sure you felt zero pain at all he would make a point to ask periodically throughout the procedures how you’re doing,however I never needed a second shot because he does an excellent job numbing.

Hands down, one of the best dentists. My family has been going to him for decades and we all love him. Paid for my own braces and wisdom teeth removal when I was 20/21 so I’ve always been big on researching the right dentist. He is fabulous with my boyfriend and his family as well as hilarious with my son. I recently convinced my mom and dad to go to him since they haven’t been to the dentist in over 25 years!!!!! Yikes! My girlfriend has a dental emergency late last night. We called his emergency contact number and were able to immediately get seen and treated. He was extremely kind and courteous to my girlfriend who has struggling with pain and aesthetic damage done to her mouth.
