La Mesa Hills Dentistry is a lovely place. My husband recently changed jobs, therefore insurance, and we needed to find a new dentist. He chose La Mesa Hills because they received so many great reviews. We brought our kids in as well, and the staff was very understanding and patient with each of their dental concerns. My son is especially tentative around anything labeled “check up” and they were constantly checking on his well being and letting me know how he was doing. The office itself is also gorgeous! On a separate occasion, my parents were visiting from out of town and my father was having issues with some dental work that he had when he was at home. Dr. Fjelsted saw him the next day and took care of him. Both of my parents were super impressed. Highly recommend La Mesa Hills Dentistry! 🙂

I have had terrible experiences with different dentists in the past, from being quoted for unnecessary procedures to receiving poor quality work that was painful. So I was extremely hesitant to come in to any dentist office for a while. I picked this place after reading the reviews and I am so very happy I did. The office is small but well kept and clean. The receptionists greet me by name and answer any and all questions I have in regards to costs and payments. Paul and Jo who performed my crown and filling were gentle and made me feel comfortable the entire time. They also did not push for any unnecessary procedures like many dentists now a days do. The staff and environment here at this office are the best I’ve ever experienced. And now I actually look forward to my appointments and that’s something I never thought I’d say about a dentist!

re you looking for a dentist? Look no further! There is so much to love about LMHD! I’m usually very anxious about going to the dentist but that quickly changed shortly after checking in. The staff made me feel like family the moment I walked through the door! The dental assistants explained everything they were going to do every step of the way. Dr. Fjeldsted is so easy to talk to, he makes the exam and treatments a breeze. You will not regret your decision to become a patient at their office!

Formerly Michels’ Family Dentistry, recently under new ownership and renamed La Mesa Hills Dentistry, this dentistry does not disappoint. I’ve been coming here for almost a year now for myself and my family. We love Dr Fjeldsted’s conservative approach. Unlike other dentists, there has been no pressure to do unnecessary treatments. His staff are friendly and the office is neat and tidy (recently redecorated, very welcoming). The patient’s comfort and care is always taken into account. The office is located in a remodeled house, nestled in the heart of La Mesa. There is street parking available, as well as a small parking lot behind the office. The entrance to the parking lot is located on the west side of the building. Take caution as the driveway is narrow and will not accommodate two vehicles. The office is located next to the La Mesa Historical Society–if heading west and you see the 1900s historical home, you’ve gone too far and missed the dentistry. Patient bathroom available.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Fjeldsted for over a year now and he and his staff are amazing. Everyone is warm and friendly, the office is nice and clean. Parking is great, they have a small lot in the back or there’s plenty of street parking. He is the only dentist in his office but the wait times are short and the visits are quick and easy. His work is amazing too. I recently had a crown put in and it looks sooo good and natural, you can’t even tell it’s a crown. He doesn’t rush through the visits, answers any questions or concerns I have and is very thorough in explaining my treatment. I’m getting my Invisalign treatment here as well and I can’t wait to see the end result. I definitely recommend Dr. Fjeldsted for anyone looking for a dentist.

Dr. Fjeldsted is so nice along with his entire staff. I have been coming here since he took the practice over and can’t say enough about this dental office. They are clean, efficient and make sure each patient is happy. If you are looking for a dentist all I can say is COME HERE!! you will be satisfied!

I recently switched to La Mesa Hills Dentistry and have been blow away by the care and friendly staff. Dr. Paul Fjeldsted should be very proud of his office and the services they provide. My children and I had the best dental cleaning they took their time and my teeth feel amazing. The staff do a great job of responding to texts and phone calls. You never have to wait in the dentist chair they get right to work. Also they don’t suggest anything you don’t need I love that. Very affordable and friendly dentist office we plan to stay.

What an excellent dental office! The staff is so warm and friendly, they’re so up front and honest about services and out of pocket costs. I love how easy-going everyone is and how efficient they are. The office is very well put together and professional, and although most doctor’s offices are freezing cold, this one is always the perfect temperature!

Went today for the first time to their office and not only were they friendly and informative, but they fit me in for a cleaning when I was only scheduled for x-rays and exam. So grateful because I needed it. The doctor did an amazing job cleaning my teeth. Worth every penny and am so glad my first dentist in San Diego will be my new dentist while I am here.
