I’ve been to other dentists in my life, but they pale in comparison to Dr. Lee. She’s a wonderful person as well as a knowledgeable and caring dentist. The office staff (shout out to Caralyn, who runs the place) and the dental hygienist (another shout out! to Daisy) are also very professional. I no longer live/work nearby, but have no intention of changing my dentist. A little extra transit time is a small price to pay. If there were six stars, I’d award them here.

I’ve had a terrible phobia of dentists, ever since I was about 7 years old and had to have a baby tooth pulled because it didn’t fall out on its own. I was scared, but the dentist, a kindly old man (or so I thought), assured me that it “wouldn’t hurt a bit.” Tentatively, I opened my mouth, and without warning: SNAP!!!!! An incredible pain like I’d never experienced before in my young life, and blood everywhere. I would never trust dentists again. Until now! Someone at my office recommended Gabriela Lee, and it turns out that tons of people at my office use her, because she is friggin’ awesome. She is kind, smart, personable and professional. She remembers things you told her 6 months ago and asks about them at your next visit. She tells you what you need done, but understands that there are other considerations to think about for major dental work (my favourite example: she told me I needed an old crown re-done, but said, “This is a big deal, so take the time you need to prepare yourself mentally and financially, and we’ll do it when you’re ready.”). And when you DON’T need the work done, she won’t make you do it — which means I get to keep my wisdom teeth! Hooray! Her hygienist, Mara, is also great. I would never go so far as to say that I look forward to my cleanings now, but Mara makes them tolerable. She greets me as she would an old friend. She praises me for good flossing habits and makes me feel like I’m getting an A on a quiz. She gets the cleaning done quickly and efficiently, and packs me a goodie bag when I’m done. (What can I say — I’m always a sucker for a goodie bag, even when it’s only filled with toothpaste and floss.) Even the receptionists are excellent, and the office is run like a well-oiled machine. I make my next appointment while I’m there, and I get my reminder card in the mail a couple of weeks before that appointment. I thought about subtracting a half-star for the fact that Dr. Lee doesn’t accept any dental insurance. I still get reimbursed by my insurance, but it’s a pain because I have to pay for the services up front and then send in a form and get a reimbursement check, and it takes a few weeks. But if I take away a half star for that, I can only give Dr. Lee four stars, and that wouldn’t be accurate, because both she and Mara are definitely 5-star ladies. Thanks Dr. Lee for restoring my faith in dentists!

I needed emergency repair work and Dr. Lee was recommended by my brother in law. The office was so helpful and arranged to get me in right away. Dr. Lee was wonderful, and did a fantastic job on my tooth. I was very impressed with the work and though I live in New Orleans, I will have Dr. Lee make the permanent repair to that tooth. If you need dental work or a good hygienist in NYC, you will be completely satisfied.

I can’t say enough good things about these folks: the dentists, the hygienists and the office staff are friendly, professional, and great at what they do. I live in Boston and I still travel to NYC every six months for a check-up with Dr. Lee — if that’s not my highest endorsement, then I don’t know what is.

I have been going to Dr. Lee for over 20 years and it has always been a pleasant experience, even thought it’s the Dentist! they are very sensitive to the Covid situation and took special care to make sure all was safe, including a temp check and pulse check. They are kind and helpful and the office staff is great, especially Carolann. The new hygienist, Daisy, was very good and professional. I highly recommend them!

I have been a patient at LLM for about 50 years, first with Dr. La Sota and then (and presently) with Dr. Lee. Dr. Lee is a GREAT dentist and superior human being in every way! I have been treated by Mara, dental Hygienist, for a number of years too. Caralyn and her front office crew are professional, accommodating and kind.

Dyan Cutro I have been going to this group (Drs. LaSota and Lee as well as Caroline, Jenna and Charlene) for over 30 years. Before becoming one of their patients I was petrified of going to the dentist. This group is not only the most professional but also the most passionate about their patient’s overall dental health and comfort. I feel like I am going to see my family when I go to their office. I know their kids, grandkids, spouses, etc. And they know mine as well! Because of their attention to my dental care I am proud of the health and condition my teeth and gums feel and look.
