The only dentist I’m whiling to see! Dr Cohen is the only doctor in the history of doctors to ever give you a shot on your gums and you won’t feel it! Well, unless he misses! jk! Kidding aside, hands down the funniest, sharp, helpful and most affordable out there. He does fine work, painless and reliable. Super friendly and did I mention funny?! He loves to make people laugh and he’s always in a great mood no matter what! The staff is great also, trust me, it’s a great place to get your smile up to your standard! Go see for your self! My family and I absolutely love Dr. Cohen. My mom, dad and my immediate family all see Dr. Cohen. He makes you feel very comfortable in the office. I absolutely HATE the numbing shots and he makes it so you don’t really feel a thing. Hes very flexible and fits you in if you have pain or a emergency. His prices are very affordable and he works with you. He listens to you and what you have to say and does everything in his power to make you feel better. I recommend him 110%!

Dr. Cohen is, hands down, the best dentist I’ve ever been to! As a child, I had a very tramatic experience. I’ve been through, at least 10 different dentists’ in the past 7 years. Most dentists’ didn’t care about my extreme fear, or tried to charge for things I didn’t need done. Dr. Cohen has a very flexible schedule and is very honest. He’s a very funny guy, which helps you forget you’re even in a dental office. My husband and I are beyond satisfied with the service he provides, that I even take my 2 kids (5 & 12) to him. He’s excellent with children. One more thing, he gives the best shots I’ve ever gotten. You can’t feel a thing. I live in Fullerton, but drive all the way to Santa Ana because Dr. Cohen is simply the best!!!

I was a Registered Dental Asst for Dr Cohen for 5 years (1988-1992). I sent my kids, parents, siblings, uncle, aunt, cousins and friends to him. To this day, my kids say he was the best dentist ever. If they didn’t live in Montana, Missouri and Guam, they would be bringing there own families to him. He is absolutely magical when giving injections. Not only is he a fantastic dentist, he genuinely cares about each and every patient that walks in the door. If you felt rushed at all in his office, it is because he has so many loyal patients and he is super busy. Just check out all the hours he works. You may have to wait a bit when you get there, but let me tell you, DR COHEN IS WORTH THE WAIT. Bottom line, he is an awesome dentist and was an awesome employer, best ever. I felt the need for an update for these great people. First off, Evon you are great, you are a master in keeping up with everybody’s appointment and i really felt your absence when i needed the doctor last summer and when you were on your vacation. New assistant is super friendly, fast and skillful. She trimmed my temp caps for 85 times and she was still friendly 🙂 And the master, Dr Cohen is all you need when you have something going on with your teeth health. Do not get fascinated with other dentist offices that are full of paintings and horse statue ( like i care when i have the worst pain). You cant match his professionalism anywhere else and also the way he handles his patience. He is gonna save your broken tooth and charge you less unlike those fancy dentists where you have to have an implant for a fortune. I recommend him to anyone and i am bringing my family here in future. Stay young doctor, we need you!

Dr. Cohen is my dentist since 1995. He is smart, funny and expert in his field. He is old timer. I will be sad when he retires. His office is old, old rusty equipment but who cares. I care for his skills. Yes. he is very honest dentist who will not scam you with extra treatments not needed. He is very hard working (works six days a week, longer hours since I know him). He is passionate about his work and it is his life. He can retire, because he worked hard for many years and is very successful and his children too are very smart medical doctors but he loves his work. He is the funniest dentist, reminds me of Seinfield’s Larry David. Dr. Cohen is also from New York and has his accent which is very sweet. He was an Engineer and then became a dentist in 70’s so he has both skills to apply. He is very humble too.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Cohen for years. As does my whole family of 5. When my twons needed braces Dr. Cohen managed to fit is in and in 4 days pulled 8 teeth from 1 child and 9 from the other. This service allowed my girls to get going on their treatment promptly and efficiently. But mostly my kids love Dr. Cohen and swear he gives the best shots..they dont hurt. Even After many extractions my kids have no anxiety going to Dr. Cohen. Most recently I was in need of extensive dental work including extraction, bridges molds etc… Dr. Cohen took my extensive procedures and now I have a beautiful smile again. His schedule is very flexible open early and late daily and open on Saturday. I definitely recommend Dr. Cohen. And his assistant Wendy is the best.

Like so many other reviewers said….BEST DENTIST EVER! I have been seeing Dr. Cohen for the past 12 years, and my mother has used him for the past 25 years. I wouldn’t trust another dentist with my teeth the way I do Dr. Cohen. He is friendly, smart, knows exactly what he’s doing and doesn’t talk you in to getting unnecessary procedures. He knows people don’t have all the money in the world to spend on out teeth if we don’t have to, and he respects that. I recently moved further away, and I still make the 1 hour commute to see him. You will never have an horrible experience with him like the ones you hear other people talking about with their dentists. There’s nobody better than Dr. Cohen 🙂

I have had the privilege of knowing Dr Cohen for 28 years. Dr Cohen is the only dentist that I have allowed to work on my mouth. Based in Santa Ana I have travelled from as far as Lake Elsinore to preserve this relationship and to have this exceptional Dentist tend to my root canals. Dr Cohen always made me feel special, took time to explain the procedures and most of all make me laugh, without laughing gas. Dr Cohen knows his clients and his work speaks for itself. He has rebuilt my mouth over the years. He hires the best staff as well. I highly recommend this hard working, dedicated Dentist that performs quality work. A dying breed to say the least.

Very honest dentist. Just like CF said, not fancy office, does not have the latest equipment, old furniture, but he only recommends treatment that’s necessary without the inflated price. Dr. Cohen ha been practicing for probably more than 25+ years, he is a humorous and friendly guy. He will tell you his life story, his wife, his adult kids, his house, everything! He gives pain free shots that even my kids did not even know that he’s already done. He charges according to the insurance booklet, does not inflate price, treats you all the same whether you have HMO, PPO, or cash. He is also very accommodating to patient’s schedule, he is a very dedicated and honest dentist that I highly recommend. Best to make the first appt of the day to avoid the wait because he really cares and spends enough time with each patient.

He is very good at what he does. He will explain what procedure you need and why. I have been going to Dr. Cohen’s office for about 8 years now and he is very honest. I once took my kids to one of those “carnival kiddie” dentist offices where you wonder if you are being charged for the air conditioning in the building. They told me my son and daughter had tons of work and an extraction that was needed. I was hesitant at first to take my children anywhere else–knowing how frightened they were. However, I needed a second opinion and I got one. Dr. Cohen told me my kids did not need much work done and made sure my children were comftorable. They are no longer afraid to go to the dentist and I feel confident taking them with him. I highly recommend Dr. Louis Cohen to all of my friends and family.

Dr. Cohen is not only personable, but hilarious. Me & my husband went to see him for the first time today and we immediately felt like we’d known him for years. The first thing he told me is that he knew my husband was from the mid west and that I was a California girl. I asked him “How’s that? Does my husband have a mid west way about him?” he said “No, by his social security number! I know these things!”

Hands down the best dentist, ever! Dr. Cohen is incredibly nice and he understands that money does NOT grow on trees. I do not have dental insurance, I pay out of pocket every time and he is so understanding when I need a little more time to come up with the whole payment. I have hated going to the dentist all of my life, particularly because the idea of a needle piercing my gums is terrifying! I never felt the needle when he has had to numb me up, his technique is flawless! I have gotten crowns here, fillings, root canals, and I got a wisdom tooth extraction (I was not under anesthesia). I asked him to removed the tooth in one piece (if possible) and he did just that ! I also had an infected root canal and I called in without an appointment he rushed me in and made time to see me. The removal was the next day! The staff is nice, but I come here because Dr. Cohen is honest and hardworking — he understands that tooth aches are serious and can interfere with daily activities. His rates are superb!

I love Dr. Cohen. I’ve been going to him for practically my whole life and always enjoy seeing him. He makes you feel comfortable since going to the dentist can be a scary thing for some people. He is very friendly. Also he does make himself available if there are any issues that you have. The only things I’ve had to get done at his office besides x-Ray, cleaning and fillings, was getting my wisdom teeth pulled out and boy can I say he gives the best shots ever and I’m a type of person who hates getting shots at the doctors. I understand what some reviewers are saying that they feel “rushed” and I have had a few times where I didn’t get in at my set appointment time, but he is still very thorough with each of his patients. I would definitely recommend him if anyone was looking for a good dentist.

Honest, fair, reliable, old-fashioned dentistry. The first time I went in, I didn’t realize he doesn’t take debit or credit cards. Cash or checks only. He didn’t miss a beat, just told me to get him next time! Not “bring it by tomorrow”. Not “mail it”. Just pay me next time. Granted, some of the equipment looks a bit past its prime, and you won’t get fancy digital xrays here. What you will get is, as I said, honest, fair, reliable, dentistry. Dr. Cohen has been my dentist for a decade and at 30 years old that’s a third of my life! He has taken such great care of my dental needs. 5 years ago my son was born with cerebral palsy and lots of medical issues. I ignored my dental health and when I finally made time to go Dr. Cohen kept me positive and promised slowly but surely we’d get my mouth back in order. Finally after a year and a half of major work I’m happy to say we are pretty much done! I am so thankful and grateful to have not only a great dentist but a wonderful person working on my teeth. Love Dr. Cohen’s office. I have been going for 15+ years to his office. It is true about other reviews that he is really honest about pricing, he doesn’t try to scam you into something you need. I have to pay a little extra to keep my dental PPO insurance and drive from Riverside just to see him but it is worth it. A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
It was forty years ago that I ventured out of New York City, New York with my new bride to southern California after having joined the United States Air Force as an officer, serving in the capacity as a dentist. While my time in the military was honorable and provided me with remarkable training, I only served for five years, leaving as a Major in the Air Force. I graduated from Columbia University School of Dentistry in New York knowing that both my wife and I wanted to move west to a warmer climate. The United States Air Force provided me with the excellent opportunity to make this dream come true. When I left the Air Force, I joined a large dental practice in Riverside, California as an associate to the pratice. Then I went on to purchase my own dental practice in Santa Ana, California where I have remained until this very day, over thirty -three years. My wife and I have three grown children and seven grandchildren; we consider ourselves very blessed and spend as much time with our family as we can. As for my career, I am an extremely fortunate man. I love being a dentist, and I believe my patients know this based on my commitment and devotion to them, their family members, and/or neighborhood friends. My ultimate goal is to offer quality dental work for affordable prices. Everyone who comes to our office can count on our honesty, our respect, and his or her thoughts and feelings being taken into consideration. I operate a smaller size dental practice that employs a staff of combined full time and part time employees some who have been with me for three decades and others who have been with me three to five years. Together we comprise a dental office that works hard to make sure that our patients leave happy and with a great smile.
