A short while ago, my son, a young adult with special needs, broke his tooth while eating, and in the subsequent dental visit, my son’s dentist found additional, severe dental decay. Unfortunately, my son’s dentist was unable to treat my son because of the severity of the decay, and the fact that my son barely tolerated him or any other dentist from even looking in his mouth, much less sitting for a root canal and other extended work. I was at wit’s end as I searched and called several dentists, but all were unable to help. Then, my son’s original dentist suggested Dr. Siegelman. In one of our first conversations, Dr. Siegelman said, “I can help you.” And he and his amazing office staff, Kelly and Kerry, followed through on that promise more than words can express. In our first office visit, Dr. Siegelman came out into the waiting area and sat next to my son, making sure he was comfortable before taking him into the examination room, and amazingly was able to conduct an examination without any reluctance from my son. Dr. Siegelman came up with a treatment plan that he carried out with warmth and caring. The experience was beyond positive; it was like having a dentist in your family.

Dr. Siegelman and his entire team are amazing. The entire experience from the moment you walk through his doors to the moment you leave is beyond amazing. I have now been a patient for a little over 1 year and don’t plan to leave. If you are worried about corona and going to a dentist, I think his office is more clean and germ free then anywhere in NYC. He has installed special lights all throughout the office that kill germs, great air circulation, air purifiers everywhere and some larger scale germ eliminating equipment. The women who cleaned my teeth was gentle and was constantly checking in on me. If you have dental anxiety I can 100% promise you that you will feel at complete ease and comfort. I am a 60 year old woman who had a fear of the dentist that was beyond description. I hadn’t been even close to a dentist in over 15 years. As a result I had stopped smiling,eating was a challenge and my self-confidence was at an all time low! I searched the internet found Dr.Siegelman and began my journey back to a happy life. My first contact was with Sarah who had Dr.Siegel man call me that very night. He spoke to me for over 45 minutes and calmed me. I then went into his office and had an additional consultation. On my next appointment feeling much calmer & confident I was examined. Dr.Siegelman and the excellent Kelly explained all my options and we decided on a treatment plan. Every visit I had after that time was easier mainly because of his kind and comforting manner and the added bonus of Andrea my own personal dental tech. I take very good care of my oral hygiene but I have to tell you, I’m deathly afraid of the Dentist. I dodged appointments for years. I saw Dr Seigelman’s commercial on TV that he caters to people like me. I’ve been told before by many previous dentist that they also cater to dental phobia, but Dr Seigelman takes it step MUCH further. First I have to say he’s a great dentist, but above and beyond that, He is also a wonderful human being. He takes An incredible amount of time to make sure you’re 100% comfortable before you even have a procedure done. He gives you many different options of sedation which I chose to be put to sleep, because this talented dentist is also anesthesiologist. Although he could’ve made more money putting me to sleep. He called me the day before my scheduled appointment and suggested with the work I was having done that I did not need the Anastasia and that he thought the oral sedation that he had, would work fine. He was right! I took the oral sedation in the office in about 10 minutes I went in the chair he did all the work, even clean my teeth I didn’t feel a thing! I woke and felt great. I just want to say again he is a excellent dentist and a wonderful human being who takes the time and effort to talk you down off the cliff. my lifelong fear of dentistry…..Is officially over! Thank you & your wonderful staff. Looking forward to seeing you in a few months, God I can’t believe I just said that! Best John

I must admit I haven’t been to a dentist for years. OK so I am scared of the dentist. I had an incident while eating pizza, which had a tiny pitted olive hidden, that cracked my tooth in half. Yes, I swallowed it but the pain was excruciating. I had to see a dentist but a good dentist, no a great dentist. I asked around and Dr. Siegelman’s name was given to me. I am so grateful. The staff was extremely helpful in getting me an appointment immediately. The hygenists are so wonderful and skilled at what they do. The office runs smoothly and organized which is very relaxing for a dentaphobe! But the best part, and it shocks me to say this, is the dentist Dr. Louis Siegelman. His demeanor is gentile, calm and concerning. He is talented and gifted as a dentist. He saved my tooth and it didn’t have to be pulled. He works so precisely and performed a perfect root canal. I don’t know how he did it and without any pain or discomfort to me. I have a new tooth (crown) and a new dentist! I highly recommend Dr.Siegelman to anyone and everyone.

As I entered Dr Siegelman’s office, you can sense that the mood in the office is about caring and understanding the person who has entered. I was welcome into an office that is very hands on, clean and upbeat. The friendly, knowledgeable office staff showed sincere interest and were there to put me at ease. Going to the dentist for most people brings some anxiety and I am no different. Dr Siegelman’s smooth demeanor and comforting approach made me feel very calm. He has a very gentle nature and really understood my needs. I never felt rushed and full explanations were given at every step. When I had questions or apprehensions I certainly felt that he and his staff listened. Today I was here for root canal. Ouch!!! But that’s how I felt. I am extremely nervous and suffer from anxiety when visiting the dentist, any kind of surgery makes me very anxious. However, I knew doctor Siegleman saved my day when he gave me a call back, even before making an appointment and said ” I heard you love visiting the dentist “, that did it for me..he is an attentive listener and there is a calmness about him that makes you feel very comfortable. Also, his complete staff are absolutely true professionals, from the phone calls, office visits and check up calls, could not ask for a better team. The day of my surgery, Dr Siegleman greeted me in the waiting area and explained to me that I was in good hands and to have no fear. He delivered and then some. My overall experience is, he is the absolute best, I have never had a dental experience like that…my dentist for life!!!

I went to Dr. Siegelman at the recommendation of a friend. I was greeted warmly by his staff. His hygienist, Melissa is very skilled and gentle. After my cleaning, I also consulted with Dr Siegelman about a troublesome tooth that other dentists had (i) recommended I get a root canal on given the minimal root structure or (ii) proactively consider an implant before the tooth breaks (the tooth has damage from a former wisdom tooth extraction). Dr. S approach the situation with fresh approach, recommending a minimally invasive intervention…music to my ears! The doctor and his team are personable, warm, and really seem to put the comfort of patients first. Dr. S and his team did an A+ job! Looks like I have a new dentist! Highly recommended.

Dr. Siegelman is kind, attentive, and made our family feel right at home. My mom and I visited Dr. Siegelman’s office looking for a special kind of dentist to provide dental care for my younger brother. He is 16 years old and is an individual with autism. He is also primarily non-verbal and has difficulty adapting to new and unfamiliar settings. Naturally, we were nervous about how his needs would be communicated and addressed. Dr. Siegelman and his staff were warm, patient, and treated us like family. Dr. Siegelman answered all of our questions and discused every imminent detail in a way that was clear and consice. His team (including the receptionists, and dental assistants) were very personable and easy to talk to. The entire team helped to calm our fears and made us feel right at ease. Most importantly, they treated my little brother with the utmost respect. They addressed him directly, smiled and laughed with him, and even encouraged us to bring his favorite items (including dvd’s and a stuffed animal) to help him feel relaxed and comfortable in an unfamiliar setting. Not only did his teeth come out looking phenomenal, but Dr. Seigelman set us up with a managable dental regimine that we can continue at home with him and supplied us with all the necessary materials. I couldn’t have asked for a better overall experience and we would definitely recommend this dentist to anyone!!

I just moved back to New York about 4 month ago. Now that I’m finally working in the city I can afford Dental. I have not been to a Dentist in about 12 years. !!!! I Looked around online & found Dr. Louis Siegelman. Called his office & spoke to Kelly (Real Nice Lady) and she was able to let me talk to the Dr. 1st before I made my appt. To be honest I was embarrassed not only to say I’m afraid of needles in my mouth or anywhere else for that matter, but my mouth has not been professionally cleaned in 12 years. Dr S has created the perfect environment for overcoming dental anxiety. I never thought it was possible but I literally have 0 fear/ anxiety after years with him. I stood outside the office & canceled appts bc the anxiety was so severe, I just couldn’t go in. He’s the 1st dentist who didn’t shame me, get angry at me, etc. Instead he & his excellent staff worked with me to Get me in & moving forward on dental problems I’d had for over a decade. Even when I kept an appt, my heart raced so fast it felt like a heart attack. I couldn’t process any thing, I just wanted to run out. He actually picks the perfect staff. Amazing experience! If you have been stopping yourself from going to a dentist because of any reason, this is your place. I have severe gag reflex and no dentist was able to perform a root canal for years. Dr. Siegelman is very empathetic and keeps human experience and feelings first. I wouldn’t allow any dentist to even touch my mouth, and Dr. Siegelman was completely fine with that. They did everything when I was asleep under IV sedation, which I actually enjoyed! In the world where all other dentists treat patients like animals, this dentist is changing the future of dental experience. They are little pricey but worth it, they do not take insurance but they help you to submit the claim to your insurance later. Lulu is an amazing person who can help. Keep rocking guys.

Dr. Siegelman and his staff, from the time I first went there for a dental emergency (3 years ago), have been wonderful. Caring, gentle, courteous, and helpful are only a few superlatives which I can think of right now to describe the entire office. I neglected my oral care for many years, because of an incredibly strong phobia towards dentists. It had gotten so bad, that just before visiting Dr. Siegelman, I wouldn’t even walk on the same side of the street that had a dentist’s office on it. Ridiculous, right? But Dr. Siegelman and his staff changed that…When I first walked into the office, shaking and almost crying, the doctor made me feel so at ease. Almost as if he had been my dentist since childhood (after meeting him, I really wish he had been). He talked to me in the waiting room for awhile, so we could learn more about each other. I suppose this is his way of making the patient feel completely comfortable. Then a full set of X-rays were taken and a initial visual exam was conducted to assess my condition. Dr. Siegelman then explained what needed to be done immediately to take away the pain I was experiencing, and what procedures would have to be done more long term to get my oral health back into shape. After the first few visits, during which I had most of the work done, I can honestly say that I now look forward to going for my bi-annual cleanings with Melissa…Who by the way, is without question in my mind, the best dental hygienist in the universe!!! She is a great conversationalist, very thorough, and makes me feel very comfortable in her care…So gentle with the hand scaling/cleaning, or when she uses the Cavitron, or as I like to call it, a Water Pick on STEROIDS!!! It feels great to leave the office and get home, look in the bathroom mirror and admire the great work she does. Everyone one there does a great job actually, and I would recommend Dr. Siegelman and his staff to anyone. Especially anyone who has a phobia towards dentists. In my mind, my fear was really bad. I can’t imagine anyone else having the phobia that I had, but of course there must be….All I know is that Dr. Siegelman cares…He really, really cares! He cared not only about my fears, but of course my physical condition when I first met him. This to me is the benchmark of a great doctor. Not only curing or treating a physical condition, but caring about the emotional state of that patient. Taking the time to listen, which is sometimes the best medicine/treatment. I first encountered Dr Siegelman in the fall of 1982 when I visited a dental practice in Queens, based on an ad in the newspaper aimed at apprehensive persons, of whom I was one. At that time, I needed a lot of dental work, because, as a boy, I had a traumatic experience at a dentist’s office and had been afraid of dentists ever since. After several visits, during which I was counseled on the state of my dental health and what needed to be done, I finally got the needed work done. I was VERY satisfied with process and, the work was done using the necessary sedation to make me comfortable during the process. Suffice it to say, Dr Siegelman has been my dentist for the last 28 years, which is a testament to my satisfaction with the service he AND his team renders. His chair-side manner is beyond pleasant, and,he WILL spend as much time as YOU need to become comfortable with the process. It is also instructive to note that I have NEVER had any discomfort following any dental work performed by Dr Siegelman (of course, this cannot be guaranteed to everyone), but this has been my experience. Dr Siegelman’s entire team are consummate professionals and perform their jobs in a manner reflecting their boss’ pursuit of excellence. This includes Melissa, the patient and thorough dental hygienist. I repeat, Dr Siegelman has been my dentist for the last 28-plus years – nuff said!

I was refered to Dr. Siegelman from a business aquaintance and was very happy. Th e office was extremely professional and caring. They reveiwed all dental procedures and prices with me prior to each appoinment and Dr. Siegelman also followed up after each appointment with an evening phone call. If you have a phobia like I do (10 years no dentist because of fear) then they’ll take care of you! It’s basically a spa. To be perfectly honest, I never thought I would be able to write such a positive review about going to the dentist. I have an inexplicable fear of dentists so found Dr Siegelman’s practice while researching dentists who specialize in dental phobia and nervous patients. My experience at this practice has been positive from start to finish. My initial consult was great – a non invasive examination of my teeth where Dr Siegelman carefully checked what was going on and one of his very sweet dental nurses carefully took a full set of x-rays being really careful not to hurt me or cause discomfort. I was fortunate enough to be fitted in for an appointment the next day to remove a wisdom tooth that was causing issues, get a deep clean and sort out a couple of cavities. I arrived for the procedure and was greeted in such a warm and caring way by all the staff there I felt immediately calm and in great hands. I was made comfortable in a very cozy room, covered with a warm blanket so I was comfortable and the nurses chatted with me so I didn’t climb the walls 🙂 Eventually I was given an IV and put to sleep via anesthetic. When I woke I felt zero pain and all the work had been done. They even let me sleep a couple of extra hours while helping me drink a cup of coffee, some water and offering me ice cream. I should also add my friend picking me up told me after we left that he wouldn’t hesitate to go to Dr Siegelman as his primary dentist – and that was just after him hanging out in the lobby and talking to the staff for a couple of hours – I think this really says a lot! He was impressed. So I’ve found my new dentist – today I am home with no swelling at all, feeling like my dental health is on its way back to where it should be and happy to have found a dentist whom I trust and feel super comfortable with. I even feel zero anxiety about going for a follow up appointment. I can’t say enough positive things about Dr Siegelman and everyone at his practice. Even if I move to another state, this is a practice I would take a flight to come back to! I cannot thank them enough!

We found them on the internet and made an appointment, The doctor was great, he even offered his after hours number if I wanted to call him if I had any fears! I came in and all went sooo smoothly. I have another appointment coming up and I am actually looking forward to it…geez! I recommend this office completely if you have any fears of dentist and want smooth friendly professional care for you teeth!

I was kicked out of several other dental practices prior to finding this place. I used to tremble in the chair so badly, the dentist couldn’t work on me. This place is zen. They go at your pace. They play music. Most importantly, the staff has a great dynamic. They know what they are doing, and treat patients with a great deal of humility. Dr. Siegelman is very calming and Dr. Currier has a confidence that is contagious. Also, if you just want to get a cleaning, you won’t feel any pain with Melissa. Give them a call. Dr. Siegelman is the most caring dentist I have ever come off. He doesn’t care just about your pain level either he wants to make sure your mind is at ease and your a really comfortable both physically and mentally. I think this is a great characteristic in a dentist that many of them lack. His compassion is unlike any others and I am happy to call him my dentist.

Part 2 of review (first was on 1/14/2014) So this was the day of my first actual dental treatment! I will describe exactly what happened and then add a few words about my overall experience. I arrived with my usual awful anxiety about having dental work done. I sat in the waiting room after having been warmly welcomed and right away I felt a little calmer because of how the staff approaches you. I felt immediately more relaxed, because they expressed confidence and reassurance, wonderful to get for someone like me! They gave me some mild medication to calm me and within minutes I felt “I can really do this.” I met with Dr. Seigelman again, and he was very calming and gentle. When I was ready, they brought me to a wonderfully calming dental room, all I really focused on was the lovely and cozy looking dental chair, which resembled a less threatening version of the dental chair we all are so familiar with. I was given an iv, because I chose not to be awake for the procedure…it was all very comfortable and pleasant, and within what seemed to me to be minutes I awoke refreshed and relaxed! Done! Dr. Siegelman was right there, along with the kind, familiar faces of the staff. I DID NOT need a root canal, which is what I had been told by the other dentist I had visited. My teeth look better than they have in such a long while, they look bright and white, and I had no visible swelling or pain. The dental cleaning I was given was very thorough and the fillings done (one big and one small) I can’t even feel! Once again, Thank you Dr. Seigelman, for your wonderful diligence, your honesty, and your perfect staff. I will be your patient for the rest of my life! Oh, I did forget to add, prior to my treatment, one of the staff, actually asked me what sort beverage/anything she could get for me for when I awake…she actually got me a container of large, cool orange juice, because I told her that was my favorite drink. Upon awakening, it was right there for me! I just can’t even say enough about all of his support staff, each in their own way unique, caring and so well-trained. I’ve truly never experienced anything like this, even at a doctor’s office or at a hospital. They honestly should be a model of medical care. No one should have to experience fear again regarding their dental experience. I hope that one day, someone can do a video or interview Dr. Seigelman on his approach with patients and all the attention to detail. He puts in a huge amount of effort to what actually one experiences as effortless by him. One can tell he truly loves what he does. I knew what everything was going to cost up front and there were no surprises!
