I would recommend Dr Marcus Lowry to anyone, any age. I was hesitant at my age of 58 to have orthodontics done, but he did it expediently, always concerned about my comfort. Dr. Marcus is very kind, understanding and would work well with any age level. I’ve gained a new respect for recent medical school graduates because of their refreshing enthusiasm and love for what they do. Dr. Marcus is knowledgeable and uses wisdom in making all decisions.

During our Thanksgiving vacation in Idaho, my daughters braces wire started to poke her cheeks. We called around to some Orthodontists in the area. The first one we called, not going to put that name out there, said they weren’t able to help us. The second one, currently giving review about, said they were willing to help and to come right down. We were able to walk in and get the wire clipped so she wouldn’t be in any discomfort. Thank you Dr. Lowry and staff for the help!

When I was in Third Grade some people used to call me “Buck Toothed Parker”,but when I got braces from Doctor Lowry I started to get comments on how cool my braces looked! Now I’m in Sixth Grade going on Seventh and my braces are off and it seems like every day I get compliments on how good my teeth look. We are are the tail end of treatment at this office, and I couldn’t be more pleased with how things have gone over the last year for both myself (as an adult) and my teenager. What attracted us to Lowry Orthodontics was first and foremost, his friendliness and professionalism. There’s nothing better than knowing you’re writing a check to someone who provides a service with respect and kindness. I feel common decency in business can be a little hit or miss these days, but not with this office. Each time I would have a special need or concern, it was addressed kindly, promptly and professionally. They were willing to go out of their way to make sure my needs were taken care of, even when they didn’t need to. They did it to be kind! I appreciate that very much. Every time, I’m greeted with smiles and my questions are always answered. The staff is friendly and funny, which always makes visits nice and something I can look forward to. We know many friends who have come to Dr. Lowry, and we are glad we took their advice. He is honest about treatment, costs, and willing to let you know when to wait and when to go ahead with a plan. He always says, “If she were my daughter, this is what I’d do….” when discussing treatment plans. And when he says it, it’s so sincere that I believe and trust him. Dr. Lowry is great, the staff greets me as soon as I step through the doorway. Dr. Lowry’s office is kid friendly, with two xbox-360s for us to play while we wait. It is also adult friendly as well, with comfy chairs to relax in or read a magazine. Dr.Lowry has a reward program called Marcus money for kids who brush their teeth well. If you save your Marcus money, you can trade it in for prizes, like 2 movie tickets. You can also get extra Marcus Money for wearing a T-shirt to your appointment. Patients can also win prizes for contests; this month you have to count and guess how many flowers are around the office, if you get it right you win a prize. Dr. Lowry has a great doctor-patient relationship. Dr. Lowry will not do any unnecessary work and is very trustworthy. I like him and I would not choose any other orthodontist. Dr. Marcus Lowry is an excellent orthodontist. He is not only professional and punctual, but he is also friendly and informative. Dr. Lowry always takes the time to answer my questions, explain what procedures we are doing next and why. Dr. Lowry put my braces on early January 2011 and my teeth (and bite) are already remarkably improved in just eight months! Also noteworthy is that the staff is always accommodating, responsive, and cheerful. I took my son for 2 years to another orthodontist, near our house in SE Boise. His teeth were not improving and the orthodontist kept blaming him for not wearing rubber bands, or eating the wrong thing. He wore his rubber bands and wasn’t eating the wrong things, so we decided to go to Marcus Lowry. His awesome brother is our dentist, and we can’t be more pleased with him. Marcus definitely belongs in that family! He’s incredibly nice, and got my son’s teeth to finish up in six months. He took a different approach which worked much better. I was so impressed that I decided to get my teeth fixed. I’m in my 50’s, and am about six months into having braces. I had braces when I was younger, and this is a completely different experience. The pain is minimal, and the results are faster and better. Dr. Lowry is kind and humble, and treats his staff well. They are also very nice and a pleasure to deal with. They are very gracious about working with you on scheduling issues and billing.

I got my braces on end of June, and I came in and on the same day got them on. All of the staff are really nice and I had an awesome experience everytime I came in for an appointment. Dr. Lowry seemed really concerned about my teeth and was happy along with me when my teeth straightened out fast. Before my teeth were really crooked and now they are perfect. I have gotten many many complements on my teeth ever since I got my braces off. I can now laugh out loud and smile with my teeth and be proud instead of embarrassed. I love being at the orthodontist. Lowry makes it to where, when he’s putting braces on or putting spacers on so it doesn’t hurt. At Marcus Lowry Orthodontics, you can expect to receive complete orthodontic treatment with personalized attention to every detail of your care. Dr. Lowry and his team are dedicated to making your experience in our practice warm, enjoyable and fun. Dr. Lowry uses the latest orthodontic techniques, including clear (esthetic) braces, and Invisalign, as well as traditional metal braces. While I love creating attractive, healthy smiles, I am especially passionate about the benefits beyond the smile. It is amazing to me to see how making a straight and beautiful smile increases one’s self confidence and can completely change your outlook on life. I love being a part of that! As an Idaho native, I was born and raised in Boise and graduated from Borah High School. After earning my Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University, I attended dental school at the University of Washington, graduating at the top of my class with my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. After working as a general dentist for a year in Boise and Nampa, I went on to specialize in orthodontics at the University of Rochester, Eastman Dental Center. While there, I was able to take part in advanced and extremely challenging orthodontic cases including patients with cleft lip and palate and patients with other facial irregularities. As part of my education, I also completed extensive research on expansion of teeth during orthodontic treatment. I maintain memberships with the American Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Idaho Dental Association, and Southwest Idaho Dental Association. I take special interest in cutting edge technology and innovations that decrease discomfort and treatment times associated with orthodontic care. I am also interested in providing my patients with treatment that will produce the best long term results. I am thrilled to be back in Idaho, in a community that I love, to raise my family. When away from the office, I spend my free time outdoors sharing my love of nature with my wife, Alicia, and our four children. I love running and swimming. Recently, I've taken up cycling and have enjoyed competing in a number of local triathlons.
