Ever since I was a kid I had a fear of the dentist. I never had a good experience and between graduating from college and a few moves it had been probably about 3 years since I had been to a dentist. When looking for one in the Pittsburgh area I did some research and chose to do to Martik Family Dental. When scheduling a morning appt I had to wait about a month to get in but my experience overall was wonderful. Dr.Martik is straight and to the point. I had to come back for one filling and they were able to get me in 2 days later. The filling only took about 20 minutes and I didn’t have any anxiety at all. It was very easy. I would definitely recommend them for any dental needs.

Very happy with my decision to visit Martik Family Dental. The office is warm and welcoming, very well-kept. I was overdue for a visit, but my cleaning with Cherie was comfortable and thorough – my teeth feel fabulously clean. Dr. Martik also helped me with a chipped tooth, after explaining a few options. He is friendly, professional, and on time. The office was able to schedule my initial appointment about two weeks out from when I called. I went ahead and scheduled my next appointment since I feel I’ve found a great office providing quality care.

I went in as a new patient and had the best experience at a dentist that I have ever had anywhere. Every single staff in the office were wonderful, thoughtful, caring, kind and so friendly. They all went above and beyond. They were all so personable and did everything and then some to help me. I had a filling done and it was painless. It was also fast. They make routine cleanings and fillings a breeze! The hygenists are friendly, quick, and thorough. Plus there are tv’s on the ceilings so you forget you’re even at the dentist. Dr. Martik is always very professional and listens when you have concerns about your teeth. And the receptionists are amazing! They are very patient and helpful when scheduling appointments (even when I had to reschedule the same appointment 3 or 4 times). Definitely recommend!

I had a crown replaced this morning. Dr Martik did an excellent job. He kept me informed throughout the procedure. When adjusting the new crown he listened to me intently and took all the time it needed to make the crown feel comfortable in my mouth. The office staff is awesome and caring. I have been dreading going to the dentist because it has been years since I had my last cleaning, 6+ years. I didn’t even have a dentist here in the Pittsburgh area or know where to go. I ended up going to Martik Family Dental a couple weeks ago. The staff there was very friendly and welcoming. Being that I hadn’t had my cleaning in so many years I was a little nervous that it was going to hurt or bleed such as I remember at times happening when I was a kid. However the dental hygienist Jenna was great, she didn’t hurt me lol and my mouth wasn’t bleeding..teeth were nice and clean and I could tell she cared about her job. I did have two cavities unfortunately so I had to schedule to have them taken care of. When I went back to have the drilling and filling done again the staff was very friendly and the Dentist was honest and upfront with me about the process. I felt like I picked the right place to go. If you are looking for a family dentist I would definitely recommend them. I already have my next 6 month cleaning scheduled..not waiting years to go again!

I called to schedule an appointment and was disappointed that I would have to wait a few months for an evening slot. I reluctantly accepted, but later that day I was called for an appointment the very next week due to a cancellation! The receptionist was very friendly and answered all of my questions over the phone and even sent the new patient forms to my home so I wouldn’t have to waste time filling them out in-office. The dental hygienist was very nice and I appreciated the time everyone took to get to know me and make me feel welcome. Also, as I was waiting to be seen for the appointment I overheard another hygienist meeting with a patient about special needs toothbrushes for her son. The fact that she took all of this extra time to research these brushes & even to offer to order the brushes if needed was very heartwarming. They really go above and beyond. The dentist personally welcomed me to the office and thanked me for choosing them. They are excellent and I would recommend to anyone living in the South Hills area to give this dentist a try.

I have spent many, many hours in dentists’ chairs going back into the 1960’s. The progress the dental profession has made over the years was on display during my procedure today. The whole process was explained to me in detail before we got started. Once it was underway, I was fascinated by the technical advances in modern dentistry. The skill Dr. Martik displayed in their application impressed me greatly. My comfort level was monitored constantly, and I can honestly say that I had a pleasant visit. Dr. Adam Martik and the staff are very professional and courteous. The office is very clean and has flatscreen t.v.’s available for you to watch while you are having work done. I have my teeth cleaned and checked at his office every 6 months. A few weeks ago I was having a problem with a tooth and he was able to fit me in the schedule the same day. High Tech and Customer Service are a great combination offered by Martik Family Dental. Recently I had a problem with an ill-fitting crown. Dr. Martik suggested replacing it. While I wasn’t looking forward to this, there were new technologies in place that reduced time and my dignity during the procedure. Centrally located in Dormont, this dentistry practice is by far one of the best in the Pittsburgh area. The staff was friendly and professional. The doctor took the time with me to review my case and concerns. He was very professional and understanding. During my procedure, the dentist and staff made sure that I was comfortable and I understood everything they were doing. The dentist was fast and gentle throughout my dental work. Before I knew it I was up and out the door. I will be making Martik Family Dental my dentist for now on. If there was a gold standard they would be it. I am a great big baby when it comes to going to the dentist. The office staff is incredibly friendly and were conscientious of my nervousness. Dr. Martik is wonderful and was also very attune to my nervousness. If it’s possible for a dentist to have a gentle touch, he has it. In one visit I had both a filling and a temporary crown put on (I had the permanent crown put on this morning). In the past when the novocain wore off I had stiffness and some discomfort. I am 53 and continue to go to this office for dental care. Why? Because although my previous dentist is retired (lucky) the people are still there and the dentist who took over cares. Everyone in that office knows you and treats you like family. Sherry is the greatest hygenist there could ever be. Jill will make sure that what you need meets your life and Dr Martik has taken over the role of keeping me calm during things i hate going through (dental work) thats helps me from freaking. Noone wants to go to the dentist, but we do need and want to keep our teeth. Thank you for catering to my needs. I am very Thankful to have a dentist office thats treats me like a part of a family.
