I’ve been afraid of the Dentist for so long and putting it off. Dr. Casanas and his staff completely changed that. The staff was incredibly sweet and accommodating. My fears were considered and I was really glad I went. Having a root canal was my worst possible scenario and sure enough they said I needed it. I felt absolutely no pain and my fear of the Dentist is gone! I tried a different dentist first but their fee for what I needed was exorbitant. The same treatment plan at Meadowbrook Dental cost me 3 times LESS than the other place. Meadowbrook is modern and super clean and I wish I had found them earlier!!

Dr. Casanas is friendly, and caring. He always tries to make you feel comfortable with every visit. I’ve always feared going to the dentist in the past, but he takes the time to get to know you and lessen your anxiety. I live in New Jersey and I do not mind the Cross Bronx traffic if it means I will get the quality care from him. His dental work is also great. He takes the time to explain things to you so that you understand and feel comfortable with what is needed. 5 plus stars!!!

I truly cant believe the negative reviews that I have just read on this site about Meadowbrook . These reviews have nothing to do with my experiences with this first rate dental practice . And in particular the complaints I have read are directly contradictory with regard to how they explained all of the costs to me , all insurance information etc ….so I simply dont get the criticisms ……they have always given me computer printouts enumerating all of the work and costs in advance of doing it ………..they are both skilled and honest !!!!

Dr. Casanas is dentist I highly recommend and has the two attributes that make a great Dentist.First., he is very good at being a dentist. Unfortunately, I have to have a lot of dental work done and I find he is gives an honest assessment,so you can make an informed decision and I have been happy with his work. Second, He is a caring, patient, and caring individual. I had a bad experience with a previous dentist; thus, I have anxiety when I got to the Dentist. Dr. Casanas was empathetic and very patient and kind. He explains everything to me and made sure I do not have a repeat bad experience. He was always makes me feel relaxed. i am in awe with the staff. i mean really impressed by this office. i have never been given a patient tour. it made me feel so comfortable and familiar with who i am about to meet. Right from the beginning i was greeted and asked if id like coffee tea or water. which is a plus in my book and like i have said i have never experienced excellent customer service quite like this. In fact the doctors here are so caring that they even offered me neck pillows head phones or anything to relax me for my appointment. come one if that’s not going above and beyond then i don’t know what is! your the best guys keep up the good work that you do.

As a patient here for 3 and half years. I’d like to say this is the best expierence i have EVER had. Im from the town. I have been to other dental offices none compare to meadowbrook dental care. The staff is very caring. They really feel like family. Everytime i go i feel like they never missed a beat with me they remember everything about me and thats what i love. A real connection with their patients. There very clean and tidy. Hygienist very hard workers. Dental assistants so sweet. Both doctors all the staff really do give quality of care. I’ve been a patient at MDC since 2014. Staff is the best, the doctors are knowledgeable and great professionals. Both Dr. Casanas and Silfa treat you like family. Love, love the office very clean and top notch equipments. Dr. Casanas walked me through the entire process when I needed a root canal, never rushed me or anything. Dr. Casañas is AWESOME! So is the hygienist Jean. I’m not a person who usually posts anything on review sites, but after the care that I received at Meadowbrook Dental it was warranted. Their staff is so welcoming and willing to answer any question. The facility is super hi-tech and clean which is something of importance to a millennial like myself. I didn’t feel any pain when Jean, the hygienist, provided me with a deep cleaning. They even have a wonderful girl who checks all your insurance coverage for you and breaks the charges down so you know what the patient responsibility is. I will most definitely be going to them going forward.

Clean, modern dentist office. Everyone super nice and welcoming. The staff and dentists are AMAZING! Def one of the best dentist around. Very accommodating office. Also I will say this after reading a few of the reviews, I was made aware of any cost that might be due to me up front along with constant reminders via text, email and phone calls regarding upcoming appointments. Just like any other medical/dental practice, it’s the patients’ responsibility to know your deductible, co-insurance, and anything that might not be covered. You can’t be upset with the doctors or staff, blame your insurance company.

I have been coming here for over 5 years now and has always been a good experience. I have read some of the other reviews. Meadowbrook Dental did stop taking my insurance for a while and they worked with me honoring what my insurance allowed. That was only temporary though and I started looking for another dentist because I am responsible for 4 people which would have broken my budget. Then they reinstated my insurance and I was extremely grateful because I do like the service and attention I am given. Everyone is always polite and efficient. They do charge for extra items not covered by insurance and they do tell you before they perform the procedure. I noticed there are many new employees at the reception desk, looks like they are reading the reviews and adjusting their practice accordingly. Truthful reviews are great so business owners are aware of what they may need to do to improve upon. As a Yelp Elite member I always notify the business owner or manager of the complaint or issue before I write a bad review. Most often they are grateful I brought it to heir attention since they can’t correct something if they are not aware of it. I always see Dr. Casanas which is who I first started seeing since day one, he is great, competent, very patient, concern with the amount of pain my teeth are giving me and he’s easy to speak with and I never feel rushed. I know they had a $50 cancelation fee most likely due to many cancelations at the last minute. Don’t know if patients just forget or things just come up but I always receive text messages and e-mails for appointment reminders plus I enter them in my calendar. Cancelling an appointment is detrimental to any business because bottom line is they loose revenue to support the business and ultimately they can go out of business. I would hate for that to happen since I have finally found a dentist I really like. Also they give back to the community and conduct mission trips to El Salvador to give those who can’t afford even toothpaste free dental work. For a business to be this sympatric to others I could never just make an appointment and not show up and that’s why I highly recommend them plus it’s great dental office.

I never thought I’d be raving about visiting a dentist office but Meadowbrook Dental Care goes that extra mile. I was skeptical of going to the dentist because of a horrible, painful experience I just had at a different practice. Upon arriving, ALL staff warmly greeted me which was awesome and surprising! Usually it’s just the secretary signing you in but everyone was super warm and welcoming. I was given a tour of the office and was immediately impressed by the layout and upgraded technology. I loved that they had photographs around the office of the volunteer work they do all over the world. When I got to the room I’d be seen in, there was a little gift bag on the chair to welcome me to their practice! Dr. Miguel Casanas greeted me and got to know me a little before which made me feel less anxious! He took his time and explained everything. When I came back for my cavity fillings, I was amazed that I didn’t feel any pain and was comfortable! The last place I was holding on to the chair for my life to then have fillings come out after 2 days. Dr. Casanas worked effeciently and made sure I was comfortable. I absolutely recommend Meadowbrook Dental Care to anyone looking for a great atmosphere, staff to help, and great dental work!

Meadowbrook Dental Care is unequivocally the best dental office ever. The office is clean and modern both inside and out. I scheduled an appointment as a new patient on 12/18/17. The front desk staff was warm, friendly and helpful. They all greeted me with a smile upon entry. Jean was my dental hygienist and she is simply amazing! She took the time to explain what the periodontal chart is and how it applies to my current situation. Jean was informative throughout the cleaning and told me what she was doing and why it was being done. After my cleaning, I met with Dr. Casanas. He is honest, trustworthy and understanding. In addition to my routine cleaning, I wanted to get information on cosmetic dentistry for my two front teeth. Based upon my (unprofessional) research on Google, I thought that I needed two crowns to replace a chipped tooth and previous cosmetic dentistry from my youth that has since discolored. Dr. Casanas recommended that I get one crown and apply bonding the chipped tooth. Instead of trying to up-sell me to the far more expensive crown, Dr. Casanas gave me an honest opinion and said that a crown for my chipped tooth would be unnecessary and a waste of money. A few minutes after his recommendation, Nadia from the front desk provided me with a treatment plan. The treatment plan was an itemized breakdown of all costs associated with the doctor’s recommendation. It showed the total cost for the procedure, my insurance’s estimated payment and my out-of-pocket total. Nadia did not try any high-pressure sales tactics to get me to agree to the procedure. She presented everything in a clear and concise manner which allowed me to make a decision with all of the necessary facts. Everyone at Meadowbrook Dental Care was so pleasant and professional that it prompted me to actually write this review about my experience. Meadowbrook Dental Care should be your only choice when looking for a dentist!

I have been going to Meadowbrook Dental for several years now. I find the office very efficient. Yes, they dropped some insurance companies about 1 1/2 year ago. However, I was advised on my last visit that I would be covered at my existing price plan, I was not overcharged. After a year away, I learned they took back my insurance company and immediately returned. Any time I have an emergency they get me in immediately. I have had several crowns and Invisalign done by Dr Casanas who is great. Yes, this office to to upsell extra services, just like any other business (airlines, hotels, restaurants) but you can kindly say no. No pressure!

Oh my gosh I have nothing but gratitude for this office and its dentists. I first started coming to Meadowbrook in 2010. I’d go with an ex who was at the time my current boyfriend, and we’d drive in from Brooklyn. I never had any intention of leaving that office, but when the relationship ended, I did not realize I could still get to the office via public transportation. Oh do I wish I had known that there was a LIRR train station (East Williston) a 14 minute walk away. It would have saved me so much pain and suffering that ensued after. So – in seeing other dentists, I switched around a lot. This year things went awry. In seeing a dentist in Manhattan (who filled a cavity for me in March, 2017) – their x-rays showed a darkening below/above my 4 incissors that could indicate the need for root canals, but my teeth were still vital, so this made no sense. The oral surgeon from this other office wanted to ‘devitalize’ (kill) one of my teeth in order to do a biopsy to see what was below it….That did not sound like a good idea, so I reached out to Meadowbrook Dental Care, and after all these years, my former dentist, Dr. Casañas, referred me to an oral surgeon in his network that he thought could biopsy me without devitalizing my tooth. His referral’s state of the art scan showed what looked to be a totally benign condition that does not warrant treatment – so Dr. Casañas helped to prevent me from having to kill my tooth or have future practitioners recommend unwarranted root canals based on x-rays. Additionally – ever since the filling I had done in that other office in March, I had worsening and worsening gum pain above where the filling was done. I’d gone back to that other dentist that originally did the filling several times and she could not figure out what was wrong. Finally in August (5 months after the filling) a piece of plastic came down from that gum. I was stymied. I reached out to Dr. Casañas to ask if plastic was ever used in cavity filling, and he told me that yes, a mylar film is used. It turns out that the Manhattan office I’d been to had lodged this far up into my gum, and it was now infected. So anyhow, I made an appointment to go back to Meadowbrook as I appreciated that Dr. Casañas could tell what had happened with just my email, found my way on the LIRR, and I am so grateful I did. Dr. Casañas took x-rays, determined that the filing wasn’t sealed properly, and re-did it himself. He also had a specialist in his office come over and laser the area of the infection to try to kill all bacteria and help my mouth to heal (I’ve never seen a laser practitioner in a dental office – this was really state of the art). As a person who takes dental hygiene very seriously, it was very upsetting to me to have these issues all ensue this year, but the entire office staff at Meadowbrook made me feel comfortable and taken care of, and I know my dentist is a top dentist so I feel confident in his care. I’d recommend anyone to come to this office as going to the wrong dentist can really harm you and ruin the quality of your life. You only have one mouth. I recommend his office to family and friends alike.

Hmm. Don’t know what the other reviews are about but I never had a problem with them. All I know is this. This place is the place to be. Usually little to no wait. Appointments are on time. Everyone is friendly. Hygienist are skilled at what they do. They made me feel comfortable and described what they were going to do before they did it. The reason I keep going back is because. They great at what they do. And they treat you like family and friend. Everyone seems to have a damn good memory over there. Lol Shout out to KARINA and DR. C. I am hyper sensitive and the doc is hyper patient and understanding. I had a emergency, where my crown wasn’t covering a nerve in my tooth. I guess it chipped down by my gumline. He got me in on Thanksgiving eve. I was covered with thanksgiving preparations and he was understanding and again infinitely patient. Even though he was packed. The assistant had t eaten yet and he told her to order lunch and he would pay for her lunch. I thought that was so kind. I only changed dentists because my daughter recommended this group and they have laughing gas. This keep me from shooting throught the roof due to my annoyingly over sensitive teeth. I am presently suprised and truly pleased to find such a wonderful patient practice that also offers gas! Oh, and the girls at the front desk are so nice and kind they need to have their own mention. What a happy place!

Dr. Casañas is the best dentist I’ve ever met and known. His office is totally state of the art and they do things I’ve NEVER seen done in a dental office, like an oral cancer screen. I have taken friends and loved ones to this office because I trust him an his staff to really help them if dental work is needed, and to prevent any issues as well. You come in here and already know that you are cared for. Truly wouldn’t recommend any other office and it’s worth the 2.5 hour commute to get there from where I live.
