Dr. Jerry Kim and his staff are phenomenal. Dr. Kim puts his patients at ease, and explains everything thoroughly. All the staff we’ve interacted with over the years have been wonderful, kind, caring and professional. Iram is the BEST hygienist I’ve ever had in my 46 years. Patty up front is kind, personable and on top of ever appointment and patient need, especially when it comes to navigating insurance claims. Ana is great at putting my anxiety at ease, and every procedure I’ve had has been pain free. I couldn’t recommend this dental practice any more highly. In fact, we moved out of the area 3 years ago, and still drive in a few hours when we need dental cleanings or procedures. If you’re looking for a dentist, go to Merrifield Dental. They’ll treat you exceptionally well.

I have been a patient at this office almost twenty years. Dr. Kim and staff are very professional in their work and they teach the patient many good things about oral hygiene, tooth problems, and the latest dental technologies. Over the years they have done crowns, fillings, veneers, and regular x-rays and cleanings at the highest quality level. At my age I still receive many compliments on my beautiful teeth and smile….all thanks to Merrifield Dental. They are the best of the best and I highly recommend them.

I always have a wonderful experience with Dr. Jerry Kim and his staff. This is the only place I’ll ever go for a cleaning and dentist work. I get very nervous and anxious with dentists as I’m afraid of the pain but Dr. Kim and the hygienist Iram put my mind at ease with their warmth and gentle touch. Everyone on his staff is extremely reassuring and I don’t feel any pain at all! I feel very relaxed by the professional and friendly environment and I look forward to going back!

Jerry and his staff is always great to work with. They always let me know what to expect before and after every visit and follow up with any additional questions I have. Doctors and staff members always consult and discuss with each other and explain what they see and let me know what would be the best option. This re-assures me that I am getting the best treatment. Alex is always helpful in setting up appointments and does a great job send reminders for upcoming appointments. With the recent upgrades, their office looks even nicer and cleaner! I highly recommend!

I’ve been going to Merrifield Dental and Dr. Kim for several years. I can’t say enough great things about the entire staff and the offices, in general. Looking at the check-ups separate from the more serious work, I find both to be stellar. The hygienists are professional and very thorough and Dr. Kim has always done a wonderful job of helping me with old and new problems. He has also been available for the little emergencies you can’t expect. And, Patty and Alex at the front desk round up the excellent staff taking care of appointments and insurance. I’d give them ten stars if Yelp allowed. (Btw, their office building and its parking are so much more convenient than other dentists I’ve seen.)

I have been a patient of Dr. Kim’s/Merrifield Dental since I relocated to Northern Virginia in 2006. I was referred by an associate who, along with his triplets, was a long time patient. I have always received excellent dental care and am always pleased with the professional manner, expertise and reasonable prices. The staff is always pleasant and thoughtful, they know their patients and take exceptional care of us. They are very good at imparting good dental and hygiene regimens and very kind in supporting our less than perfect efforts. A visit to this office is always a pleasant experience.

I have been going here for several years and this review is long overdue. This group gets my five stars and will continue to get my service as they offer the complete package, and then some. The dentist the hygienists are incredibly skilled, great educators, and are there for whatever you may need. I have long neglected my dental health, and been lucky, but through the work of this practice I am finally more self aware of my dental health and how to best take care of myself. This practice not only will help you with maintenance and corrective care, but they will spend the time with you to educate you on how to live a healthier life. As a nurse I am in awe and a bit jealous that they have this ability. Too often we are rushed to “treat and street” as has sadly become a saying, but this practice really cares. Just today I finished a deep cleaning and had some additional questions. They took the time to answer them, even letting me do a return demonstration to make sure I knew the skill. Furthermore the receptionist is always quick to respond, will work the extra time to find you discounts on services, and works with you and your unique schedule. My wife thinks I should move to a closer practice for convenience. While a shorter drive may make some happy, I am not willing to risk losing the quality of health care that I receive at Merrifield Dental. I could go on and talk more about the tools they use (neato diamond tipped plaque cleaner for people who don’t like the manual scraping too much), but in summation I just want to say that I would highly recommend this dentist. If you are looking online I would refer you here.

My sons and I have been going to Merrifield Dental for more than 12 years now and I can only praise very highly all members of the team at this practice. I am so thankful for the exceptionally kind and wonderful service provided AT EVERY VISIT, particularly by Patty McCoy in the front desk, my hygienist Irum Ahmed, and my dentist Dr. Jerry Kim. There is a very comfortable & personable ambiance here that is rare to find. The dental care is top notch and if you are looking for a very caring team of dentist and hygienist, I highly recommend Dr. Kim and Irum Ahmed. There are many dentistry practices one can chose but if you are looking for a new dentist reread the second sentence of this review and check out Merrifield Dental.

I’ve been a patient here for over a decade now, since I moved to Northern VA. The team has always been really patient, kind, understanding, and effective. Dr. Kim is really knowledgeable and explains things clearly and in a way that ordinary people can understand. I love my dental hygienist too. This place is also known as Merrifield Dental. Been coming here for years. Dr. Kim, Patty, Iram and everyone there are always professional and kind. They keep to the schedule and I’ve hardly had any cancellations or long waits. I’ve had routine cleanings, gum surgery, crowns, deep cleaning etc and have always left feeling satisfied. Their schedule is pretty packed and not everyone is there everyday so it’s important to make routine appointments ahead of time.

This office has been my dentist for several years now. I came from another dentist who was just satisfactory. I have been really impressed with Dr. Kim. They have been here for 20 years but this is not some outdated old office. They really do care and go the extra mile. Their hygienist is truly second to none for the regular cleanings as well. 11/28/2017: Today, I received the ZOOM teeth whitening procedure in Dr. Kim’s office! Boy was I surprised. Last night, I read all of these reviews on the Zoom teeth whitening and I was scared as hell. 99% of the comments that I read were horror stories. People were in so much pain that they could not finish the procedure, some were in a lot of pain days after the procedure and regret getting it done. Now my story. I did not feel one thing. I took a pain pill before because of the suggestions from the reviews. I did not need the pain pill after all. The staff was so patient with me and explained each step before and during the procedure. Periodically, Dr. Kim came in to check on me. No pain and my teeth are so much more whiter than before. I have to go back in a couple of weeks, to get my fills redone to match the white of my other teeth. Dr. Kim and his staff are wonderful. If you want to get your teeth whiten professionally, make am appointment with Dr. Kim’s office. You will not be disappointed. By the way, my teeth and gums are super sensitive and still I did not feel one thing during the entire procedure. Almost went to sleep during one of the sessions.

One I always receive a courtesy reminder of my appointment, second I am always greeted by my name from Patty the office manager upon entering the office. My Dental Hygienist always treats me with great care. Lastly, Dr. Kim always take time to go over my exam with me and take time to ask me if I have any questions or concerns.
