Mere words simply do not do justice to how wonderful Dr. McLeod is. I feel privileged to be his patient for over 20 years. Everything he does, he does right the very first time. Such passion for his work! His dentistry truly lasts a lifetime. I recently decided to have him straighten my teeth through the Invisalign system, and I could not be happier. I have a tricky bite issue, and Dr McLeod has worked tenaciously with Invisalign to give me a perfect smile and a corrected bite. Seriously, he makes you feel as if you were his only patient! His staff is incredible, friendly, always on time. I thank God that we are so blessed to have Dr. McLeod. (And his poetry is incredible…it will make you emotional!) Thank you, Dr. McLeod!

January 2018 I had a loose dental implant and had moved away from San Francisco where i’d had it done by Dr. David Blende back in 2010.  I emailed Dr. Blende there and asked for a recommendation of someone to see in L.A. He got a hold of Dr. McCleod, who personally called me right away and set it up for me to see him first thing the next morning. To remedy things took the better part of a very comfortable, pleasantly humorous, and highly informative hour.  He explains thoroughly and even offers one a mirror to watch what he is doing.  I have come away so impressed today that I have immediately sent both Drs. thanks for their respective roles and am now adding this Yelp recommendation right away. Oh. and Dr. McLeod and staff are warm and friendly and do not keep patients waiting.

How many people have the good fortune of finding pleasure in the experience of visiting a dentist?  I am one who now does.  In the time that I’ve been in Dr. McLeod’s care I’ve watched myself go from being yet another skeptical, reluctant, white-knuckled dental patient clutching the arms of the dentist’s chair, to someone who trusts and believes in the value of good dental care, someone who actually looks forward to and enjoys visiting his dentist’s office. I’ve come to feel entirely assured and confident in his professionalism. Add to this, like icing on a good cake, the comfort and ease I feel under the spell of his fine manner,  wit,  stories,  poetry,  interests and music. What a package! He is an extraordinary man and I count myself fortunate that our paths have met. So thank you very much, Dr. McLeod. It’s been an unexpectedly good experience being in your care. The work you’ve done for me, especially bringing back together in harmony no’s 8 & 9, my front teeth, has changed for the better an important piece of how I express myself in the world. I’ve checked my smile, held it back out of a twinge of self consciousness for an awfully long time.  I wasn’t terribly guarded about it, but it really had been a long held trauma. Now I catch myself smiling frequently, even just to myself, with a new found confidence thanks to his encouragement and good work.

My periodontist from Palm Desert recommended Dr. McLeod when I moved to LA five years ago, and I could not be more thrilled! Dr. McLeod is a talented cosmetic dentist and periodontist. I feel extraordinarily confident in his hands, and there is nothing I take more pride in than my smile. Dr. McLeod cares about his patients. He is extremely thorough in his examinations, has a gentle touch, and is expert in all cosmetic procedures I have undergone. Also, Dr. McLeod never pressures his patients for any dental procedures. For example, he pointed out that I have an old childhood filling that is failing, but rather than press to redo it immediately, he suggested we keep an eye on it and check it at our next appointment. He also suggested I wait to redo a very expensive retainer to see if I can get more time out of it. The icing on the cake is that I feel a sense of warmth every time I am greeted by him and his friendly staff. I could not recommend him more highly to my family, friends, and anyone looking for top notch quality dentistry in the LA area with very reasonable prices.

I have been a patient of Dr. McLeod for the past 15 years, shortly after my arrival in California. In my youth, dentistry was far removed from what it is today so suffice to say I did not keep my teeth in good condition. The result was that eventually I had to have my teeth removed and dentures fitted. There is always apprehension when one hears that one needs dentures – visions of Great Aunt Mary’s teeth popping out at the dinner table came to mind! But the experience was amazing!  There was some initial pain after the extractions but it was tolerable. Then we had to “chase the dragon” as Dr. McLeod says, as the dentures settled in to my mouth and any tiny points in the denture felt like a hot needle going in to the gum (!), but he was always available at any time to fix the problem. Since that time I have continued to be a patient of Dr. McLeod and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs any dental care whether a small procedure or, as in my case, a large one. But how would I sum up I experiences with Dr. McLeod? I think of him every time I munch on an ear of corn or an apple – and unless you have had loose teeth you just don’t know how good that is! Dr McLeod is the best dentist I have ever had!  I spend years and a lot of money with a big name Beverly Hills dentist only to live with pain, decay and shoddy workmanship.  Yes, Dr McLeod will give you the big picture and dentistry is not cheap, but if you care about your health…not to mention your appearance, I suggest you see the best.  Dr McLeod is hands down THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS.  His staff is caring, attentive and knowledgeable.  For the first time in my life I look forward to dental cleanings and checks ups. For all the window shoppers out there looking for the cheapest price you do not belong with this gentleman, because he is an artist.  You get what you pay for in this life and thank goodness I found the best!!!

I can’t say enough about Dr. McLeod. I have had issues (putting it mildly) with my teeth all my life. I have been to so many dentists. All they ever seemed to do was take my money and leave my mouth the same or worst than when I came to them. Finally, I meet Dr. McLeod. He always did what was best for my teeth not what costs the most to fix. 20 years later, thanks to Dr. McLeod, I not only still have my teeth but I have been pain free for the first time in my life and I get complements on how beautiful my teeth are, something that eluded me until I came to Neil.

Ten years ago, a terrible boating accident left me with an implant and two crowned teeth. I had seven dentists at that time and was terrified of sitting in that chair ever again until I met Dr. McLeod. I wanted to get my teeth replaced and whiten my smile for the past couple of years, but kept putting it off because of fear. I chose Dr. McLeod to complete this procedure because of his great reviews on Yelp, the awesome team at his office, and his trusting demeanor and positive attitude. He did not disappoint!! Dr. McLeod and his team replaced my teeth and whitened my smile within an incredibly short period of time. I am so happy with the results and would absolutely recommend him to anyone. The best dentist I have ever had, and I have had a lot.

One Sunday afternoon I was flossing and in an instant there went my old composite fillings.  Prior to this (for a few years) I was having issues with sensitive teeth and every time I went to the dentist they would “drill and fill” and say that “this should do it.” and if it did not, I would need one or more root canals. Nice.  Unfortunately the sensitivity never truly went away and I avoided the dentist for a 4 years.   I made the big decision to look for a new dentist.  I literally stumbled upon Dr. McLeods website and reviews and decided to call him up.   The offices are sparking clean and the equipment is state of the art. The entire staff are friendly and super knowledgable in what they do.  On the first visit Dr. McLeod meticulously looked through my mouth and teeth, noting all findings.  I needed two crowns but not a root canals because Dr. McLeod went in and removed all of the decay that other dentists had missed and just patched.  As much as i dreaded “major work” being done this ended up being no big deal! I was very comfortable through the entire procedure and after. I appreciate everything that Dr. McLeod and his staff did and they made it clear that they want each patient to keep their own teeth healthy for life.

When my childhood dentist retired, I took my time to find a new one. I found a replacement that is probably the best in the country.  I am confident to recommend my dentist, doctor Neil McLeod who practices on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.  He takes care of my whole family, and has abolished my children and my husband’s fear of visiting the dentist. Dr McLeod has the latest technology that helps to keep his services up to date, and yet he seems to have all the old world charm of a family doctor ready to come in for an emergency at the week-end, and willing to take his time to do his artistry carefully as if time did not matter. If you are looking for a good dentist stop you have arrived.

Dr. McLeod is there when you need him.  Even on a holiday weekend.  I recently had a dear friend in need of emergency care on a Sunday afternoon.  I was able to help her out by contacting Dr. McLeod and setting up the appt.  Because of Dr. McLeod’s professionalism and passion for what he does, she was able to recieve the care she needed and be relieved of her pain.  I can’t say enough how much it means to know there are Doctors who truly care still out there.  Thank You so much Sir!  What you did was amazingly appreciated.  I would recommend Dr. McLeod and his practice to anyone after this experience.  He is truly an example of reliable and kind hearted.

I went to Dr McLeod, as per a friend’s recommendation (and after seeing what an incredible job he did on her teeth!), to have veneers put in on both my top and bottom  teeth. Now mind you, (like most dental work), veneers are not a “fun” procedure. But if there is anyone who could make it a comfortable experience, it’s Dr. McLeod! This man goes to great length to assure the comfort of his patients and is one of the warmest and most charming people I have ever met. As far as the outcome on my teeth: his work is ABSOLUTELY impeccable! My teeth are stunning, this man has improved the quality of my life GREATLY by giving me the confidence to smile and be proud of my smile! AND he called after procedures to see how I was feeling! Such a personal touch in an increasingly impersonal modern existence. I highly recommend him to ANYONE!

I love dr. mcleod.  i’ve loved dr. mcleod for over 25 years!  he had red hair when i first went to him with terrible gum problems.  he was charming and funny, but when it came to my teeth, he was dead serious.  he asked me if i had children or nieces and nephews.  when i replied that i had two small nieces, he said, “if you want to have your teeth when you go to their weddings, you’ll have to completely change the way you take care of them!”  i heeded his advice, i go to him religiously twice a year for cleaning, and i brush and floss regularly.  i still have my teeth, my gums are healthy and pink, and dr. mcleod will be my only dentist for as long as he continues to practice dentistry! he is quite a guy and quite a dentist!!!!

Dr. McLeod exemplifies service!  I wish everyone in a profession that deals with people could learn from his incredible example.  He is also the best dentist I have ever experienced on top of that.   Dr. McLeod was my dentist growing up as he was my parents before that but 15 years ago I moved from LA to Orange County and started a family of my own.  My 14 year old son had some poor dental work done on a deformed tooth about a year ago by our local dentist in Orange County.  This was clearly difficult work because this dentist was actually pretty good and admitted he couldn’t get in there to do the job properly.  On Easter Sunday the cap of that tooth popped off while we were on a family ski trip in mammoth.  I called the best dentist I knew, Dr. McLeod, in the hopes that we could make an appointment to get it fixed up proper.   Now this was Easter Sunday when I left a message at the office hoping to talk to someone on Monday.  Low and behold I get a call later that evening from Dr. McLeod directly.  I was shocked.  He asked if I was in trouble and after hearing about my son got his schedule out and made us an appointment for the next afternoon.   Dr. McLeod spent over 2 hours with my son fixing up this very challenging tooth and my son didn’t complain once, incredible really because he has been terrified of needles and dentists.  Today he has a new gold crown that I know will last him a lifetime (and he has a new found interest in hygiene as a bonus, something you can’t help but acquire after a few hours with Dr. McLeod.   The quality of Dr. McLeod’s work and level of service is so impressive we are making the drive up from south Orange County to Beverly Hills for our 2 other children and if ever we need serious dental work done it will be done by Dr. McLeod.   I can now that say we have 3 generations of patients of Dr. McLeod in the family and couldn’t be happier.

Dr McLeod is the epitome of the Bible verse: Titus 3:8 The saying is trustworthy, and I want you to insist on these things, so that those who have believed in God may be careful to devote themselves to good works. These things are excellent and profitable for people. He pays attention to all details. As an educator I appreciate that he explains the reasoning, the chemistry and how the technology that he uses supports creating the best fit for the work he is doing. He truly uses technology to improve his practice down to the precision of the use of anesthesia practice. I appreciate that he calls to follow up on how my family is doing after treatment.  I love that I get to choose my background music  And so appreciated is the cleanliness of the entire office.  Mary at the front is terrific to stay in touch about appointments and Sandra (?) is very caring.  She won’t let you leave without making sure all is right.   We have been going to a dentist for years that does not match most of these descriptors.  I’ve stayed with her because with a decent size family and living paycheck to paycheck the cost is much less.  Dentistry has felt like a bit of a luxury.  This experience has been helpful in my thought process.
