I’ve been going to NY Family Dental Arts for two years now, and I will be going to them for life. I have really sensitive teeth, and with every cleaning (Rebecca & Liz), they make me feel super at ease, and they do a phenomenal job. I have also had a couple of smaller procedures with Dr. Kessler / Dr. Vaiman. They are amazing doctors, super personable, and make me feel comfortable. I have been going to Dr. Vaiman for over 20 years now. I travel from Staten Island to Manhattan because I don’t trust any other dentist as much as I do Dr. Vaiman and Dr. Kessler. They are a great team that is always very accommodating, knowledgeable and extremely professional. The office is very clean and nicely organized. The staff is always very courteous. Both Dr. Vaiman and Dr. Kessler always make you feel at ease and comfortable. Thank you New York Family Dental Arts for giving me a great smile! Definately recommend.

I’ve always had a very pleasant experience here. The dental hygienist Rebecca is so kind and calming she always totally puts me at ease when I come and so kind and easy going that I genuinely enjoy coming to see her! Dr Vaiman always answers every single question I have, no matter how long they take or how repetitive I am with them. He really cares about his patients happiness and health. I always feel taken care of here. Not to mention they’re always quick to get any dental work done and make sure to get you an appointment as soon as possible and make payment plans for you if necessary. Definitely recommend, especially for new patients!

I am terrified of the dentist, I wasn’t always scared but I had about 5 years of really bad experiences that were very unnecessary which caused my fear, for a time I would get so scared I would cry as soon as I got in the dental chair! I have one tooth in particular that I had about 4 root canals in and caused me to go to the dentist regularly for years with no answers and continued procedures that never fixed the issue. I had THREE different opinions and each time no one could give me a straight answer until I came here. Dr. Vaiman is so comforting and understood how scared I was to just a filling refilled (it cracked) and made me at ease that after asking him a million questions (that he answered without hesitation or frustration) I was comfortable enouph to let him finish the root canal and finally get it capped! That is a huge deal for me because I have been dealing with this issue for about 8 years and have not let anyone touch it in about 3 and trusted him enouph to let him do it. Not only was he understanding and professional he is comforting and treats you like a friend and not only tells you what to expect and is extremely knowledgeable he backs it up with his exceptional work!! Not only did I not feel any pain he stayed late to finish my tooth and then called me the next day to make sure I was ok!! Anyone who is afraid of the dentist or who has had any bad experiences I cant urge you enouph to come see Dr. Vaiman he truly is amazing!!

This is my 3rd time that I have been at this office and each time I have been treated so well with courtesy and decency by professionally staff. I enjoy getting my teeth cleaned every 6 months. She is thorough and takes her time to complete the task. Thank you so much to all of you. You work as a team to provide the best dental treatment for all of your patients.

New to Dr. Vaiman and just had my 2nd visit yesterday. If there is two things in life I try to avoid it’s mosquitoes and seeing a dentist. But I am so relieved with the experience I just had. After a, close-to-no-pain, filling session yesterday, where Dr. Vaiman took really good care of me, I woke up with no pain at all. That’s new! My whole family is with him and he/the whole staff is very professional and friendly. What impressed me the most is how good he is with kids also. I recommend seeing this doctor a 100%!

I, too, am surprised by the negative reviews. I’ve seen both Dr. Kessler and Dr. Vaiman and found them to be friendly, professional, and efficient. The dental hygienist I’ve seen the past couple visits has given very thorough cleanings and has gotten me to improve my habits in a way that no other hygienist has. Finally, their office staff is wonderful. Sarah has been consistently super friendly and helpful since I started going there a couple years ago.

Amazing family-owned and family-friendly dental practice. I actually look forward to the dentist now. From the minute you walk in, you feel like you are in a dental spa vs. a dental office. Gayle (sp?) and the ladies in the front run a very efficient office. Friendly and helpful staff, knowledgeable doctors, state-of-the-art equipment and helpful follow up. Dr. Alexander Vaiman and Dr. Irina Kessler have both worked on my teeth – cleanings, fillings (saved me from a root canal), and gum pockets. Both dentists and hygienists are kind, patient, gentle and transparent with insurance and costs. They thoroughly explain what they are doing every step of the way, even took pictures to show me the inside of my mouth on the big screen. Everyone asks if you are comfortable and all truly care about your dental health. I am so glad I stumbled across NY Family Dental Arts. I couldn’t recommend them more. Actually, I just made my Mom switch over to them.

New York Family Dental Arts is a perfect example of prime dentistry in a city with a lot competition. The staff at New York Family Dental Arts are better than any other dentists office I have ever been to. Dr. Kessler a long with her office manager, sara, hygenist and dental assistants are extremely nice and patient. I would highly recommend New York Family Dental Arts to anyone and I will definitely be returning!!!

I love this office and the staff. Drs. Vaiman and Kessler are just awesome! Dr. Kessler did all my dental work and I am so happy and grateful to her. The staff is attentive and helpful. The office manager took her time to explain my financials with and without insurance. She even offered payment plan options for me. I highly recommend them!

I love Dr. Vaiman and the whole NYFDA team! Cannot recommend them enough. I put off going to the dentist for several years (!!!) after multiple bad experiences. Pressure from an impacted wisdom tooth cracked one of my molars, and NYFDA had an emergency appointment available for the next morning. On my first visit, Dr. Vaiman and his assistant did a thorough assessment and presented me with a VERY clear and thorough plan on pulling my wisdom teeth, putting a crown in, and preventing future issues. Dr. Vaiman was very clear on the exact costs, treatment schedule, and what I could expect… he never once tried to upsell me and was more than accommodating of my limited budget (pro tip: pay everything up front for a discount!). Their front office staff was always kind and polite, making or changing appointments was so easy, and I was always seen right away. Dr. Vaiman is great at dealing with nervous patients – great bedside manner, always remembered what we had talked about on previous visits, and was always checking in on my comfort level and calling me from his personal cellphone the day after to check on me. LOVE him and will be recommending them to everyone I know in Manhattan!
