After two years of not going to the dentist, I became a patient of Dr. Alder’s in 2011. Needless to say, I needed extensive work and was not looking forward to it.
Dr. Alder made me feel at ease and continually checked on me during the procedures to assure I was comfortable. Every crown and filing was done conservatively and gently and everything explained to me prior to beginning with time for any questions.
Dr. Alder and his staff have always greeted me with a smile and are genuinely happy to see me in the practice.
On a Sunday I was out for brunch and popped a front tooth veneer off. I had a moment of panic and then decided to call Dr. Alder. He met me at the office 30 minutes later and bonded my veneer back on my tooth. I was without a veneer for a mere hour versus a whole day at minimum.
Dr. Alder and his team go above and beyond for each of their patients, assuring you feel comfortable and valued.
I will never see another dentist and have referred everyone I know to Dr. Alder and will continue to do so.

Dr Lance Alder DDS has been my dentist for two decades. He is a wonderful steward of my dental health. He does everything that is necessary and nothing that is not, and he tells it to you straight. I’ve had many challenges with my teeth over the years, and I can now say, that because of Dr. Lance Alder my smile makes me smile! The staff is also great. They really care about you at this place. I have had serious problems with my gums. Over the years Dr. Lance Alder and his hygienist has literally saved my teeth. Since my first consultation with Dr. Alder in May 2017 I have spent a lot time in the dentist chair over the last 9 months. From general cleanings to Invisalign and finally some additional cosmetic dentistry. I could not be more pleased with my new smile. Dr. Alder is a perfectionist and it is evident in his quality of work. Maria who is one of the dental hygienists is also just outstanding. A couple of my visits required local anesthetic and several shots were administered. There was zero discomfort. Dr. Alder is especially skilled in this area. With that being said it is impossible for me to recommend anyone more than Dr. Alder and his amazing team for general or cosmetic dentistry.

First and foremost, I can only offer my highest recommendation to Dr. Alder for any one seeking high quality care. I can honestly put that much trust in him because he is consistent and detail-oriented in his work. So, I have never had a good experience with any dentist (and I’ve had about 4 dentists before him)- until Dr. Alder. I’m one of those people that dread/ hate/ detest going to the dentist and have had numerous negative experiences, to say the least. However, after receiving care from Dr. Alder and his staff, it was as if I finally was able to see what medical care SHOULD be like. Everyone was warm and welcoming. Dr. Alder and his staff are fantastic. This is just a fact, but let me explain.
I have a lot of work that needs to be done to my teeth. I’m feeling embarrassed and blue about the whole situation. The moment I walk in the office, I feel warm and welcome. They remember my name (without fail) and I don’t even expect that.
Dr. Alder is gentle and AMAZING when he works on you. Past dentists have bruised my mouth or been insensitive about my comfort. I never once feel like that. Even though I have a lot of work that needs to get done, I almost look forward to my visits – crazy, huh? They put on a movie and let me zone out.
I’m so grateful that I picked Dr. Alder as my dentist. I have absolutely no desire to go anywhere else(…).

I have been going to Dr. Alder for a couple years now since I moved to Orange County. I have been so impressed by both him as a dentist, and his entire staff that I am compelled to write this review. His office staff is extremely friendly and great with reminders of my upcoming appointments. His dental assistants are equally friendly accommodating to all of my needs while under their care. His hygienist is the best I have ever seen and not only is she very thorough, but she gives useful tips to help me keep my teeth and gums clean. I have had a number of procedures taken care of by Dr. Alder and I have never felt pain during any of them. He is kind, easy to talk to, and extremely knowledgeable with everything he does.
There are TVs at the dental chairs and I am promptly seen when I arrive at his office. I can honestly say this is the best Dental Office I have ever been to and it’s a very pleasant experience every single time I go. I highly recommend anyone to this office and know my experience will be your experience.

I highly recommend this office. I get very nervous\anxious at dental visits, but Dr Alder and his assistant made me comfortable and quickly put me at ease. I spoke to Krysten when booking my appointment and she actually helped Dr Alder throughout my visit as well. She was very friendly- her and Dr Alder worked great together and I was done before I knew it. Plus they have movies to choose from so that was a great distraction throughout my procedure.

Dr. Alder is awesome! My husband and I moved back to the area a couple years ago and had to find a new dentist. We have had some horrible experiences before with other dentists so I am pretty weary. Dr. Alder takes a consultative approach with his patients and really listens to what we want. The office is not pushy and doesn’t force you or try to scare you into getting a bunch of work done that may be unnecessary or can wait. I recently started Invisalign and it has been great. From pricing to the quality of care we receive, we couldn’t be happier. We have definitely found our long-term dentist!! 🙂

Based on what I observed during my treatment, I think that he is really attentive to his patients needs and is well served in addressing them. He instantly took me out of pain and addressed my aesthetic concerns. I am especially amazed overall with his hand skills-not only is he fast, but his work is beautiful (made my filling look completely natural and the fracture non-existent). In dentistry, this takes a lot of talent and expertise. I think that a lot of people have qualms about going to dentists because many people feel like they get ripped off, but this practice would provide them with the opposite mindset–their only goal is to offer the best available treatment for each patient that comes through their door. The office itself is very welcoming, clean, and quite up-to-date with the technology dental practices should have. Even the rooms have a beautiful view of plants and the outdoors–definitely puts patients at ease(…).

I’ve been with Dr. Alder since 2010 or 2011, and I’m happy to say I’m a most satisfied patient. I am in my 70’s now and have counted on his fine work to keep my dental health on the right track. He’s got a first rate staff who have been a fabulous team for quite some time. Dr. Alder is always patiently considering my thoughts on an issue, takes all the time needed to get it right. He’s a great dentist and I enthusiastically recommended my brother and his wife to see him and they were equally happy. His yearly volunteer dentistry on children in Latin America is another side of his life which is a clear indication of the kind of man he is. Lance is the best dentist I’ve ever had. I had an unfortunate incident occur on a late Saturday night that resulted in me losing my left incisor and both of my front teeth hanging very loosely. I had never seen Lance before but he opened up his office on a Sunday when they were closed just to help me out. If I had to wait till Monday I could have lost both of my front teeth as well. It is going to take a few months for my teeth and smile to be back to the way it was but I am fully confident getting dental treatments from Lance that everything will work out. I seriously cannot thank him enough for everything he has done for me and highly recommend him to anybody seeking dental treatment.

Dr. Alder has been my dentist for a very long time. Last week, my 12 year old daughter suffered from a school yard accident that left her upper front two teeth severely chipped. Alarmed, I immediately picked her up from school and rushed to another pediatric dentist in Newport Beach. Unfortunately, her dentist’s office of 12 years was closed. So knowing that Dr. Alder’s office was just down the block, I took her there instead. I was so relieved that Deborah at the front desk quickly accessed the gravity of the situation and admitted us right on the spot. My daughter’s mouth was bleeding and her teeth were slipping out of place. Donn, the dental assistant, began to carefully and gently help stop the bleeding and made my daughter as comfortable as possible. Then within less than 15 minutes, Dr. Lance Alder came in the room. The concern in his face told me that my daughter was in very good hands. He and Donn began the process of putting the teeth back into place while adhering a custom formed wire retainer to hold them firmly for the next 4-6 weeks. Dr. Alders’ whole team probably saved my daughters teeth because of not only their expertise but the speed in assessing the situation. Later that night, Dr. Alder called to see how my daughter was feeling and spoke to her directly. When my daughter got off the phone she said, “mom, I don’t want to go back to my dentist anymore; Dr. Alder’s team is so much better.” I couldn’t agree more. Thank you Dr. Alder for saving the day!

My Husband, kids and myself had previously been driving for years down south to our dentist. We felt like there wasn’t another Dentist or office that could compare. After much deliberation we decided to make the change in the need of time efficiency. We have never looked back!!! Dr. Alder and staff are professional and friendly. I had a tooth that needed a filling and which turned into a root canal and crown. I was really hesitant. Dr. Alder assured me that I would be asking myself why i had put if off so long. I’m new to California so I needed to find a new dentist, and I’m so glad I came to Dr. Adler’s Office! His entire staff was welcoming, personable, and helpful. I did not have to wait in the waiting room for more than 5 minutes when I arrived. The hygienist (I believe her name was Amber) was fantastic! I usually dread going to the dentist because it has hurt in the past, but Amber was SO gentle. I literally almost fell asleep while she was doing my cleaning, that’s how comfortable it was. Dr. Alder was very nice. He made me feel welcome and spent time asking me questions and getting to know me. Dr. Alder is amazing.
I have been coming to this office for decades and have always had a positive experience. It’s always a painless and pleasant experience whenever I visit. All of the staff; receptionists, hygienists (Gail is my favorite), and assistants are super friendly and comforting.
When one of my two front tooth crowns broke, Dr. Alder spent countless hours working to ensure that the color was an exact match. His dedication to perfection was a welcomed practice. There is no rushing and moving patients out the door, the office waits until you are completely satisfied.

I am unlike most people- I LOVE going to the dentist! I recently moved to Newport and was recommended Dr. Alder by a co worker who swore by him. Not only does she swear by him but so do all of her friends as well. During my first visit the staff was very friendly and personable and answered my questions right away. I had questions regarding my wisdom teeth as well as another more complicated question. Dr. Alder took the time to explain to me both answers and even came up with a simple illustration without using the dentist/teeth number terms. I called Dr. Adler’s Office as a new patient today in extreme pain. His staff (especially Deborah!) was extremely kind and helpful. They got me in for an appointment within 2 hours even after I had an issue with my new insurance. Dr. Adler was very kind an proficient. I ended up needing an emergency root canal and he got me setup with a specialist within an hour. I’m at home recovering pain free tonight and will be back to see Dr. Adler for my follow up!

Okay, Another case of posting a review because something was truly amazing. Dr. Alder and the team in this office are simply the best. Gail is the best hygienist I have ever come across. Dr. Alder had to do some minor work for me this week. Honestly, I have never had such a positive experience. It sounds a little funny but the way he and his team work during a procedure is almost like art. If I didn’t know better, when he said they were finished I wanted to say “yeah right, you haven’t even started yet!” But he was finished, and I literally did not feel one thing or have even one uncomfortable second in the chair(…).
