I’ve been going to Dr. Rees Olson for over 10 years. You will not find a more thorough, skilled dentist. Every procedure he’s done for me – fillings, crowns, root canals, cleanings – has turned out perfectly. He explains what he’s doing and he is gentle. I couldn’t recommend him any higher. His staff is also very helpful and exhibit the same high standards as Dr. Olson. There is a difference between decent dentistry and excellent dentistry. Dr. Olson is the best. I’ll never go anywhere else!

Today Dr. Rees Olson performed precision root canal surgery. Earlier this month I was asked to contact him by my wife following a botched ‘root canal surgery’ by a local endodontist/dentist group who will go unnamed. Dr. Rees took my initial call and consulted with me following that painful previous experience, without any advance notice. I was in his chair within 20 minutes after the call. He invested time to listen and understand. He planned out a cure/solution to the incredible pain I was experiencing. He provided immediate relief from the pain. He contacted me after the initial visit and before the surgery to see how I was doing. He and his office are exceptional at what they do. Special thanks also to his dental assistant Claudia for her work during the 3 hour procedure. Everyone there is so nice. I’ve had good dentists, and unfortunately a few bad (or not so good) along the way. If you want the experience of a master at his craft, and a true professional along the lines of the way dentistry should be practiced, you want and/or need Dr. Olson.

Someone recommended I try this dentist. Today was my third visit, and am I glad I found this dentist. The entire staff works exceptional together. I really liked how before any procedure they really tell you what to expect. They even make you feel comfortable by asking if you’d like a blanket. It makes a difference when you go to the dentist and trust their abilities rather than worrying if they are going to glue your teeth together(yes this happened growing up-to my brother)

This 5-Star review is long overdue for Dr. Rees Olson — After moving to San Diego a few years back, I almost forgot what real dentistry felt like 🙂 My wife had a ton of failed fillings and crowns done by another dentist from just 7 years back before we got married…I told her about a couple fillings Dr Rees did for me about 10 years ago with no problems whatsoever….After numerous dental visits with grandma and our girls, Dr Rees has fully restored my wife’s teeth — He even met with my wife once on his day off for a dental emergency! Regarding Cleaning — They set the bar REALLY high. I actually quit going to other dentists where we live for cleaning because they rush me out after 20 short minutes…Once you experience a proper dental cleaning from one of his staff (Jackie is who I see), you’ll know what I mean : – ) Do your mouths (and family) a favor and go check them out!

Literally by far the best dentist I’ve ever been to. Doctor Olsen is the most honest person. I’ve been to A LOT of dentist. I had work done 10 years ago by Doctor Olsen and it’s still in the same condition. Never had a problem with it. I wish I kept going to him. A friend told me to go to him and I remembered that he’s the same dentist from 10 years ago. He sat and talked to me for a half hour today and even walked me out. The first time I came in he sat and talked with me for a hour! Have you ever been to a dentist that’s done that? He is so kind. You will leave feeling so much better, I promise! All of the staff is extremely friendly. I love them all. I have already told people to go here. I have family and friends who are going to him now. I have had so many bad experiences with dentist.. I’ve been lied to, ripped off, barely talked to, or bullied by the person who does financial… Doctor Olsen office was nothing like that. You will not regret going here I promise. Saying that Dr. Olson is a very good dentist would be unfair, as he is much more than that. He is exceptionally good, exceptionally caring, and exceptionally honest. My husband and I have been his patients for more than 15 years (in fact, we started as patients of his equally wonderful father), and we shall continue to be under his care for as long as….we live! This is a practice where everyone, from the front desk personnel to the hygienists to the affiliates, everyone is extremely professional, and extremely caring. This is an office where what matters IS the patient. They all are simply outstanding. Dr. Olson pays attention to his patients well beyond the typical standard care. During the past 15 years, in more than one occasion, I needed his professional help for emergency interventions, and he opened his office on a Saturday or Sunday to help me out. Well in a simple answer; I do believe I have found the best dentist out there. I am a 51 year old man who is definitely a “Teeth” guy. Meaning; I love my teeth and constantly notice other people’s teeth. All this means is that I have been through my share of dentists throughout my life. I have had dentists that get “it” right in some ways, but never at every level that Dr. Olson does! From the initial phone conversation, the hygienist, the Dr. himself, the cleaning, the concern, the education, etc., etc. This place nails the “details” at every level! And I am a professional retailer with 30 years experience as a professional, and this dentist delivers an experience in the same manner that I do. Educating my customers so they can make informed decisions, and also taking the time to explain the “why” we do something, not just the “we do this and we do that” and “we are experts so take our word for it”. I have never had a hygienist as personable as Jackie was/is. She is a doll! I will be sending all my family members to this dentist as he clearly cares about his patients and cares about his role in the equation. If I could give more “stars” as a rating I would!! And no; I received no special treatment in exchange for this review. I just believe that when I receive an exceptional experience (which is in rare form these days) I want people to know. I am tired of the chronic disappointment of business today.

I am always very aware of energy and such around me, and the moment I walked in, in spite of apprehension over future work I knew in my gut I needed done, and after the sifting of insurance was complete, I knew instantly I was in the right hands. Dr. Olson makes sure everything is in place when he works, and fluidly connects with staff. My boyfriend woke up the day after Christmas with unbearable tooth pain. After calling my own dentist and finding out that they were unavailable, they referred me to Dr. Olson. I called Dr. Olson and he answered the phone himself! He said he was available all day for emergency dental procedures. I explained a little bit of what was going on with my boyfriend’s tooth, and Dr. Olson said to come down right away so he could help. Brenda and Dr. Olson greeted us right away when we entered the office. After a quick consult, Dr. Olson gave us a few options on how to handle the tooth problem. He is clearly very knowledgeable about his craft! My boyfriend decided on an immediate extraction. Dr. Olson successfully performed the extraction with minimal pain. The prices were very fair, considering my boyfriend did not have insurance. I appreciate how Dr. Olson very clearly outlined the charges for us before the extraction took place. All in all, the entire experience was very positive, considering what we were there for. Thank you, Dr. Olson, for taking my boyfriend in on the day after Christmas on such short notice. You saved the day, truly! If I didn’t already have another dentist, or if I ever have a dental emergency, I would not hesitate to come to Dr. Olson again.
