Dr. Balderson is the best dentist that I have ever had. I’m a 70 yr old male with generally good dental health. I have, however, had crowns on a couple of teeth. I I had resultant ongoing issues with my bite. Both the initial dentist and another subsequent dentist dismissed my issues. I was told that I must be grinding my teeth at night, and should wear a mouth guard at night. Dr. Balderson refused to dismiss my concerns until the issue was totally resolved. Dr. Balderson is a knowledgeable and caring individual. Her office has the latest equipment and newest technologies. Her staff is wonderful. Her hygienist is fantastic. Her staff even gives me reminders to premeditate with a phone call the morning of my visits.

I cannot say enough amazing things about Dr. B and her staff at Optimum Dental. Every experience – from booking appointments with Genet and Evelyn, to getting a cleaning with Beth, to getting exams with Dr. B – is easy and painless. I used to despise going to the dentist because of the constant lecturing and painful prodding at my teeth, but that is definitely not the case here. Beth is so gentle with cleanings and really makes sure that you remain comfortable the entire time. Dr. B and her staff are informative and educating, without being rude and condescending, like I’ve experienced with other dentists. Dr. B’s bedside manner is warm, comforting, and refreshing. I genuinely don’t even mind going to the dentist now, because I know that I’m in such great hands with Dr. B and her staff, and I know that they’ll take care of me.

Optimum Dental is a godsend – was looking for a dentist that actually took my insurance, and the one I saw over a year ago made me avoid the dentist until I went to see Dr. Balderson. She and her staff really know their stuff, are very thorough, and very friendly and communicative! So glad I found this place. Their attention to detail meets or exceeds any dentist I have ever been to. I also find that the dental assistants seem to be more competent and knowledgeable than I’ve experienced at other dentists. My experience was great from the very beginning. I made an appointment and they were able to fit me in within a week. I went for a second opinion, a consultation. The front desk, greeted me immediately and took care of all the paperwork. The office environment, was very nice and friendly. The assistant took me back and the dentist Dr. Balderson, came to give me an examine. She was so friendly, personable. She asked me questions to get a little background and gave me, what I believe is a honest evaluation. She gave me all the facts and different options. She referred me to a specialist, they even offered to make the appointment for me. When I went to check out, they went through all the information and gave me a detailed receipt. I really echo some of the extremely positive reviews that have come before mine over the past year.  This is the first review I’ve ever written on Yelp.  I recently went in for a checkup and then whitening.  Across the board the staff was outstanding in their professionalism, positive attitude, friendliness, and their attitude toward their patients.  I’m 47 and this is the most positive experience I’ve ever had with a dentists office, and I’ve been to quite a few over the years.  I can’t believe I’m actually saying this, but this is the closest to fun it can be to visit a dentist’s office!

I just left Optimum Dental and I have to write something because I’m very impressed. I like this place, and the people who work here. In this day in age, I appreciate good customer/client service. If you’re not feeling the love at your dentist, make an appointment at Optimum Dental. When you walk into the office, you can sense there’s a new regime, a new atmosphere, and it’s a great feeling- from the front desk to the dr. herself. Chelsea Balderson, the new captain at the wheel has improved the experience all together. Dental work can be stressful for people and sometimes nerves take over, but let them take care of you and guide you through the process of your appointment, and you’ll be smiling proudly as you walk to your car. The new Dentist and new owner of Optimum Dental, manages to make it a visit, not an appointment. Other patients in the office are smiling, chatting with each other if you have a short wait, and it’s comfortable. I think I have the best dental service in the DMV hands down, that’s with Optimum Dental and Dr. Chelsea Balderson.

I have been to Optimum Dental twice now in the last month and had an exceptional experience both times.  The office is clean and inviting, and the staff is friendly and professional.  My first visit was for a typical 6-month cleaning and the dental hygienist was fantastic!  Not only was she very outgoing and personable, but she made sure that I was comfortable throughout the appointment and took the time to explain what she was doing/what instruments were being used.  I found this very helpful and it made me confident that I was in good hands.  This is the first time I’ve been to a practice that has taken the time to make sure I am comfortable and understand the feedback I am being given.  During a second follow-up visit, I was treated with the same care and expertise as the first.  The dentist I saw is extremely knowledgeable–an expert in her field.  You can sense her passion for what she does as she cares for patients.  Despite having recently moved about 45 minutes west of the practice, I fully intend to continue to visit Optimum Dental as the drive is absolutely worth it!

Optimum Dental is amazing! They are extremely flexible, caring, and quick to reply. Whenever I email them asking for an appointment, they respond in less than a hour (more like 15 minutes). They even respond on a Friday, at 11:00 at night 🙂 They try to work with your schedule and get you in as fast as they can. Another example is that I had told them I had to cancel my appointment because I thought my insurance didn’t cover it. Without asking, they called my insurance themselves and found out I was covered. I really appreciated how they cared to do that and valued me as their customer. They are amazing and highly recommend this place 🙂

This is a great team. I had an early morning appointment, and the office tried to call me about 30 minutes before about coming in later in the day due to one of their hygienists being out sick. They are definitely ahead of the times compared to other dental practices. My family and I started coming to this practice back in July 2015. It was ok, it wasn’t friendly, wasn’t convenient and it was dirty. We came back from vacation and we had cleaning set up and that’s when we met Dr. Balderson. She was amazing, explained she had just taken over the practice a few weeks back. Come to find out that at that moment we weren’t covered completely with our insurance because she was in the process of getting all the insurance credentials. She told us that they would call us as soon as we were back in, and sure enough they did. Our experience with Dr. Balderson and her team have been amazing since the very beginning. Whether it has something to do with our insurance, taking care of my daughter, husband and myself, to watching my new born infant son so I can get my dental work done.
