(…)Dr. Nishimura has singlehandedly reversed my 27 years of not wanting to go to the dentist. He is so thorough in walking you through whatever it is that is going on in your mouth, and makes your visit the most comfortable dental visit that a trip to the dentist can be. I came in for a routine check up and cleaning, but had some gum sensitivity. Dr. Nishimura was super attentive to my more sensitive areas and made the process painless! I couldn’t be happier with the results, my teeth look and feel pearly, squeaky clean! Honestly, I can’t stop looking at them in the mirror-no more plaque!!! Needless to say, I will definitely be returning for my routine cleanings and check ups every six months. Perhaps even sooner lol! They are not pushy with adding extra things or upselling any products. If you’re due for yours or in need of dental services, I highly recommend Orange Grove. The staff, ambiance and the overall establishment is high quality and grade A customer service!

Like a many I’ve only gone to one dentist my whole life and changing providers is a daunting task. I’ve recently moved to the OC and needed a new dentist. After seeing the photos on yelp, Dr. Kyle just looks really pleasant and so I thought I’d give him a try. I needed a full deep cleaning and he was able to squeeze me in on a Saturday afternoon. I don’t know if this is an everyday thing but they had music playing throughout the office and really helped me to just relax. Dr. Kyle really took his time to make sure I was numb and did a thorough cleaning job. He was really easy to talk to and gave me recommendations of how to better care for my teeth. He seems to really care about his patients and it shows!

I came back for my 6 month exam and the cavities that Dr. Nishimura has been monitoring now required fillings. During the filling appointment, Dr. Nishimura was very gentle and I didn’t feel any pain during the injection! He also walked me through the whole process prior to starting the filling and ensured I had no questions before he started. I tend to be a bit nervous when I am in the dental office but I felt very comfortable and experienced no pain! I highly recommend Dr. Nishimura and his team to anybody needing a dentist.

When my dentist retired, I was shattered! As a “dental chicken”, it took me years to find someone that I could trust and actually not dread seeing. I just tried them out to fix a broken crown. My old Dentist retired so I had nowhere to go. I wish I would’ve switched over years ago. The dentist Dr. Kyle was very friendly and took his time to explain everything he was going to do. The receptionist Mirna was super friendly and called to verify the appointment ahead of time. The dental assistant Sandra was great and had me relaxed and laughing in the chair.
I typically don’t leave reviews for places but I was so impressed I had to take the time to leave one.

I was referred to Dr. Kyle by my coworker and I am not disappointed at all! What a relief to finally find an awesome local dentist. Since I have moved to this area, it has been very hard to find a dentist that my husband and I can trust. Dr. Kyle, Sandra, Kim, and Mirna were nothing, but nice and patient. They really took the time to explain every detail and they made my experience fun. I have the worst memory, but was able to repeat what I was taught to my husband when I got home because of the way they taught it. What a sweet group! Of course, I will be a long time customer and would definitely recommend this group to anyone! Especially those that are scared to go to the dentist and/or have had a bad experience!

First off, the staff is so attentive and sweet. They are always on time and help to get you in and out as fast as possible but obviously make sure you get everything you need. If… you have to wait, they’ve got coffee and chatty Mirna who is so fun to talk to.
Doc is the best. He’s so sweet and knows perfectly how to explain everything he sees. He is very diligent and likes to talk thru every step he takes with “human” verbiage and not just “doctor” verbiage. I haven’t been to the dentist in about 6 years and having to go back was quite terrifying and he was the perfect doctor to choose. I will never be nervous to go to another dentist appointment again! He has cured my fear!

I really appreciated the generous time Dr. Nishimura devoted to hearing about my dental history and answering any questions I had. He’s super knowledgeable and takes the time to explain and share his knowledge with you. They go into depth with capturing details from you from photos of your teeth with a dslr camera which I never had done at another office before and you’ll be able to share any of your prior dental visit fears. They’ll be sure to work with you on your fears. The filling I had done was beautifully done and Dr. Nishimura took the extra time to make sure I didn’t leave the office until I was happy with it and took the extra time to polish off any remaining residue I may have noticed on my tooth. Smooth as glass! I didn’t feel pressured to do any extra work on my teeth and felt they were very honest. From someone who has personally been through a dental horror story, it was such a relief to find an office who genuinely cares for their patients.

Orange Grove Family Dentistry is a fantastic. Like most people I hate going to the dentist and hadn’t gone for years. Extreme pain got me to go in begrudgingly and I was able to make an emergency appointment online for that morning. I have been a patient of Dr. Kyle for 4 months now and it’s always as pleasant as can be. The staff is friendly and always works with my schedule and budget. Myrna at the front desk is great at following up with patients after appointments and to remind about upcoming appointments. Even when it came to seeing a specialist outside their office Myrna makes sure OGFD is updated on what was done and what I need. The whole staff is absolutely wonderful.

I’ve been coming here for more than a year. They have always done very good work on my teeth and also accommodated my schedule. From the front desk to the doctor, they are all very friendly and they do good work. Yesterday, Jessica cleaned my teeth. She is new to the office but a great addition! Rarely could I be described as having clean teeth before coming in for an appointment. She was very good, quick but thorough. She was also very responsive to any questions or anything I needed. I haven’t been to a dentist in over 10 years and was obviously anxious: worst case scenario I was afraid all my teeth were FUBAR and the dentist was going to rip me a new one for my poor dental hygiene. Went in for my cleaning and for a consultation for Invisalign. Heather, the assistant, was great. I felt comfortable in the office and everything went by smoothly. Office was established over 30 years ago under a different dentist. In 2017, Dr. Nishimura purchased the office. We now accept most PPO insurances and provide high quality dentistry at a reasonable price. Our office utilizes modern designs and the latest dental technologies to provide a comfortable and hassle-free environment focused on personalized patient care. We adhere to the highest ADA sterilization guidelines to ensure safety. Dr. Nishimura attended UC Berkeley during his undergraduate education and graduated as part of the inaugural class at Western University College of Dental Medicine. He attends seminars and invests a lot of time into continuing education courses to stay current on the advances of the field. He is well known for his dedication to his patients. He educates himself and his staff with the latest dental techniques and has state-of-art equipment to provide his patient with the best available treatments. He is a proud member of ADA, CDA and OCDS.
