Terrific experience from start to finish for my first visit. Beautiful modern and clean office, friendly front desk, modern technology, and Dr Kim took plenty of time to see and speak with me, reviewing everything to make sure I understood and asking if I had any questions/concerns. Although I do need some follow-up work, I am looking forward to going back. That’s a first!
They were also kind enough to stay open for me when I was running late for my appt due to traffic. Much appreciated for a busy working mom of 3! Thank you Ortega Cottage Dentistry and Dr. Kim!

What can I say about the Ortega Cottage Dentistry and Dr, Michael Kim. They all are just awesome. Dr. Kim is very good at what he does. He is very detailed and patient. Even though we discussed what we are about to do prior to him working on it, he will still tell me what he will be doing as a start and what he is about to do as he takes steps forward. He doesn’t let anything slide by him. During the recent visit, I had to get a Novocain shot, which I hate so much but now I know that I don’t have to get paranoid over it because he was very gentle with it – truly. The location and environment itself will sooth you. I look forward to seeing Dr. Kim and his friendly staff in couple of months for my implant project.

I was looking for a new dentist after my dentist retired after many years, and I found Dr. Kim near my home! His office was modern and clean, not to mention his front desk lady was so sweet and she explained everything with detail. Dr. Kim explained my treatment plan very well and listened to my needs. He is very experienced and dedicated to his patients. He did not rush, and he was so gentle with my procedure. Not to mention, I hardly had to wait in the waiting room which is always a plus. I had not a single problem, everything was a breeze. I will be bringing my kids to his office too!

He found a few cavities that he was able to take care of painlessly and conservatively with a couple fillings. I recently got engaged so I asked Dr. Kim about whitening and some other cosmetic issues I have with my teeth in preparation for the engagement photos and the wedding. After discussing several options, we agreed to a combination of in-office whitening and 1 veneer to create harmony in my smile while preserving as much of my natural tooth structure as possible. I told him I had a prolonged numbness from all my previous local anesthetic injections, as I have told my previous dentists. (…)Now getting a large molar that sits at the very back of the top of your mouth is certainly not a mellow procedure on paper. Dr. Kim took his time in numbing me and made sure that I couldn’t feel a thing before starting the procedure. He told me it would take about 30 minutes. And that’s 30 minutes of pliers, chisel looking tools, cutting and tugging to get this tooth out. And I will tell you this, through the process I felt absolutely no pain. Dr. Kim was thorough in his explanation as we went through the procedure and he and Elaine were constantly ensuring that I was as comfortable as could be considering my current situation. Dr. Kim got the tooth out, explained the necessary aftercare and why it was important and he excused himself. Very professional and highly skilled in my opinion(…).

Ortega Cottage Dentistry is just as amazing as it looks! The entire team is warm and welcoming, and most importantly they care about their patients well being and teeth. I went in for a cleaning, and returned for some minor fillings. Dr. Kim went over all of the imaging and detailed pictures with me. During the procedure, he was patient, gentle, and finished my fillings with precision. Dr. Kim’s attention to detail and suburb workmanship outshine other dentists I have been to in the past. To top it off, the dental hygienist always makes sure you’re comfortable throughout the entire visit. I went in only twice and feel as though I have been going there for years.
