My only complaint is that I wish I found Pacific Modern Dentistry earlier. Beautiful location off Lake Union. I came in worrying about a potential cavity needing a root canal procedure. The office was incredibly professional, receptive, helpful and supportive (even helping me figure out my dental insurance that I never used). At the conclusion of our consultation, they pulled some strings and helped schedule a follow up visit with an endodontist (incredibly professional, great experience too) because I am moving very soon. They did all of this even without being able to bill for the crown and I am so thankful for finding such a great practice. Thank you!

Perhaps it might be a little early to say, but Dr. Kim’s dentistry was the best among ones I have ever visited in the US and South Korea. I had cavity related treatments 10+ times from 7+ dentistry so far, FYI. Scheduling an appointment. It was very easy to book an appointment. I am kinda tired to call out to dentists, wait for couple minutes to talk to a staff and hear ‘not accepting new patients’, but Dr. Kim’s office had an online system showing several available options for returning patients, new patients, new with emergency (sudden pain, etc.). After booking my appointment, I got a call from the office and we talked about my condition to make sure to reserve sufficient amount of time for my treatment, which was awesome. The patient representative was very friendly and helpful. I lost my golden in-lay last weekend and booked on Monday and got a treatment on Tuesday. My case was done with composite, but it’s amazing to have my tooth treated in 2 business days. I know my case might be a lucky one, but who knows, this happened with Dr. Kim. Service – diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Kim and his staff was very friendly and carefully listening to me on what happened to my tooth. Enjoyed the sense of ‘being taken care of’ by a specialist a lot. He was not only talking about the immediate symptoms but a strategy to keep my teeth healthier for the rest of my life. I know that there’s my part to do to make it happen, but it’s just fantastic to have someone saying like him as my dentist. His treatment suggestion was making a lot of sense, and an affordable one in terms of time, effort and money (important!). I met with several dentists trying to over-treat like crowns / implants / etc. so far but Dr. Kim is not such a person. He was busy with other patients already, but he put a good / enough amount of time to take care of my tooth and it’s feeling perfect now. Office and location. You already might have seen the gorgeous photos from others’ reviews. I was enjoying the beautiful view of Lake Union from the treatment room, making me so jealous of everybody working there. The office is very nicely located, not in a crazy crowded area. Close to I-5 and Aurora, which is a big plus. The office is very clean, calm, and bright. You will like it. I have already booked an appointment for my next cleaning and my wife’s first visit next month. I was hesitating to leave this good review to this good dentist.. (just want to keep him a hidden jewel), but he and his dentistry surely deserve 5-star.

Dr. Kim is brilliant. I do not fret going to the dentist any longer because from the moment you walk in, you are treated special. Dr. Kim actually listens and gives suggestions. Aside for an amazing views this office has, Dr. Kim and his team have been nothing but phenomenal with the type of care and advice they provide. A few bullet points: I never ever have to wait (standard at many practices even though you have a scheduled time), dental cleaning and comprehensive bi-annual exam are done like nowhere else- detailed head, jaw and neck checkup, super detailed cleaning, and follow up. I never feel rushed- and instead my dental appointment really seems more like going to a facial, rather than a dentist. Well done to the entire team!

The best dentistry around !!! Your teeth are very sensitive subject and new dentistry should be gone to after careful consideration. Pacific modern dentistry was exactly what I was looking for. The location was perfect and very convenient. The staff was very compassionate and actually cared that I get the best and most affordable, efficient treatment I can get. I first came here after my tooth was cracked (which was so so painful!) and I was incredibly worried since dentistry isn’t someplace you can just randomly go to and hope for the best. This place hit all the marks for a good dentistry and more. They had very professional, yet very personal care of my tooth and it was a perfect procedure I can neither tell or feel that there was a crack. I became a loyal regular for my checkups here— highly recommend, you would not regret!

I have been with Dr. Kim’s office from the beginning and they are excellent. Hailey, the hygenist, is very thorough yet gentle and very personable. Dr. Kim always takes the time to explain exactly what is going on in your mouth and suggested next steps. He also is very professional and gentle. Janine, the receptionist, is very friendly and makes sure you know what your insurance will cover ahead of time. Then she takes care of everything. I couldn’t recommend them more highly plus they have a great view of Lake Union and kayakers.

I was traveling from Florida. I had a crown break off in Seattle. It was a very complicated matter. Dr. Kim’s office took me in as a walk-in. Janine at the front desk was extremely helpful and made me feel right at home. Joeli, the dental assistant, was skilled with a very soothing demeanor. Had a great experience with Dr. Kim and his team. I had a tooth that was causing me a lot of pain and they got me in quickly and put in a great deal of time and effort to diagnose the problem. Dr. Kym, is so kind, sweet and intelligent! A combination not easily reached by many. He did my three implants, a three tooth bridge and seven crowns! It was a lot of work, time and money! but I’m so happy to have had him do it. The results are beautiful! It was not easy for him I’m sure, with the implants in the front along with a bridge in the front! All the crown work was in the back teeth. He is a perfectionist, and that is what you need.

Dr. Jae Seon(Jason) Kim, a native of South Korea, has lived around different parts of the world including London, New Jersey, Georgia, and Mukilteo. He and his family settled down in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, where it always felt like home at heart. Dr. Kim is a prosthodontist, a specialist that requires additional 3-4 years of advanced training after graduating from dental school. Dr. Kim received his prosthodontic training at the prestigious University of Washington, School of Dentistry. Being a prosthodontist makes Dr. Kim well-versed in performing simple restorative procedures, such as fillings, and single crowns, to the most complex oral rehabilitation cases, involving Dental Implants. Dr. Kim is especially passionate about doing esthetic/cosmetic smile makeovers that lasts a life time. Only 2% of dentists are Prosthodontists, and among prosthodontists, only 45% of them are board-certified. Dr. Kim is a Board-Certified Prosthodontist. Dr. Kim is an enthusiastic educator for other dentists, and students. He was an assistant professor at Augusta University, Dental College of Georgia, educating dental students, residents from numerous specialties, and other general dentists. Currently, Dr. Kim is an affiliate assistant professor at University of Washington, School of Dentistry. Dr. Kim is a well-respected speaker, and lectures nationally and internationally. Dr. Kim is a believer in lifelong learning. He spends hundreds of hours taking Continuing Education courses every year, participates in dental study clubs monthly, and reviews dental journals everyday. He believes that these efforts are essential in keeping up with the latest dental technology, and to innovate new techniques that can benefit patients. Dr. Kim also is a reviewer for the Journal of Prosthodontics. Dr. Kim enjoys spending his spare time with his wife and two daughters.
