I have to start out by saying that I never write reviews…. Like EVER! But my experience at Partners in Dental Health today was absolutely amazing! I’ve had bad experiences with dentists before. A lot of shaming… A lot of pain…. So as soon as I became an adult I stopped going to the dentist at all. Well 5 years and 2 kids later I finally decided I needed to go back to set the right example for my kids. I made an appointment for myself and both my kids (ages 3&2). I then worried about it all the way up until I walked into the office… Then my worry disappeared! They knew who I was, had all the paperwork ready and even had my insurance information set up already! When the dental assistant asked who was first my 3 year old shot her hand up and ran to the room. The assistant did an excellent job explaining everything to her and let my son watch so he would be ready. She even let my daughter sit on the chair with my son when it was his turn! Both the kids loved it and they got to pick toys to bring home too! The assistant was also very reassuring to me and always talked in a positive, encouraging way! When doctor Kent came in he gave me ample opportunity to ask questions and he explained everything he was doing to me! He was very kind and didn’t do any kind of shaming whatsoever! I can’t be more thankful to have found this company and I know I will stay with them for years to come!!! Please, please! Try this dentist! You won’t regret it!

I have been going to this office for 3 years and have only had the best experiences. My husband and three grown children have also had regular appointments with no complaints. The staff is friendly and chatting with you as soon as you walk in the door. It is obvious they enjoy their work! The two dentists that we have seen are very informative and make you feel very comfortable. I highly recommend this office for dentistry services to anyone looking for a new dentist.

Dr. Kent is the best dentist by far that I have ever had. I had 4 fillings replaced (took out mercury fillings with a special system to keep it from going into your mouth and replaced with composite). He took his time to make sure the bite was just right after. He is so gentle and I never felt any pain! He was able to numb my mouth better than any other time I had work done. He remembers his patients and asks questions about things you discussed last time. He even stayed late for my husband tonight just so he could get extra dental work done before he loses his dental insurance. And on top of that… His office staff and dental hygienists are so nice! Every time I call I get an appointment (in the evening so I don’t have to miss work) in less than a week out! I can’t say enough for this office. It’s amazing! Wish I found him sooner!

I hate the dentist but from the moment I walked in to the office, I was treated with nothing but kindness and respect. The hygienist was gentle and asked every question she needed to address my concerns. With Covid, I did not see any other patients present on site, just staff. I also really appending able to do my paperwork online before showing up for my appointment.

Took my husband in for a routine cleaning. He is on crutches because of recent knee surgeries. An old filling from many years ago needed to be replaced. Rather than him having to go back on a later date on crutches, the dentist did it right them and there. It was not a difficult procedure, but the shear courtesy of the doctor to stop and do it right them to make it more convenient for us was nice. This only one of many great experiences I have had with this practice. I just switched to them in January because my husband spoke so highly of them. All my visits were pleasant, and for me to go to a dentist for some major work this year and have NO pain, was a blessing. The Doctor Kent and the staff are great, and I recommend them to everyone I know! CUDOS TO YOU ALL!!!

Dr. Kent is the best dentist that has ever worked on my teeth. He makes sure that you have a pain free experience!. Have had three visits within a month. First was clearing up an infection at an old wisdom tooth, Then a week later filling a molar next to the wisdom tooth and then pulling the wisdom tooth in the same visit. Last visit was today to restore the two upper front teeth. Very pleased with the results. PAIN FREE!!!

I just moved here a month ago, and had an accident resulting in my front tooth being chipped. My experience with this business was wonderful. I was able to make an appointment within the week, and the front desk attendants were professional, courteous, and helpful. I currently do not have dental insurance so I was worried about paying for unnecessary work or being overcharged; however, the procedure was extremely reasonable. Additionally, the dentist that I saw was efficient, nice, and restored my tooth to a near perfect condition. I will definitely be using them for my future dental needs.

Great experience from scheduling through the appointment and precedure. Had a root canal done, it was painless. Have had others at local dentists and all were miserable. This tooth was infected and i dreaded the procedure, however it turned out to be the exact opposite of what i had anticipated! I am unafraid to go back! I’ve had about 6 appointments at this office in the past 4 months and each time I feel more and more like family. The staff is so friendly and welcoming and I am always in and out in a timely fashion. Love this place! Dr. Kent was able to fit in my filling despite some scheduling issues – my filling is flawless and practically invisible! My hygiene appointment was also great – after not having had a cleaning in around 9 years, they were able to descale my teeth with practically no pain – my mouth was smoothed, polished and ready to go, lol! Dr. Dean Kent received his dental degree in 1978 from the University of Illinois Dental School in Chicago. He moved from Chicago to Virginia Beach in 1979 and started Partners In Dental Health. He is a pioneer in Holistic Dentistry and services with Virginia Beach to help disabled citizens.
