Dr. Pastel is THE best dentist I have ever been to. I have all kinds of work done with him, including extractions and dental implants and he has done a superb job with all of it. He is always very professional, honest and has an amazing bedside manner. Even when I feel nervous about having a procedure, he always makes me feel so comfortable and safe that I forget my fears immediately. I never have a doubt that I am in good hands with him and that speaks volumes about a doctor. The office staff is always very friendly, accommodating and the office is always immaculate. Thank you for such a wonderful experience every time!

I happen to be a retired dentist so I am very picky about where I go. I recently moved back to the bay area and a colleague recommended Pastel Dental. I am so happy with Dr. Pastel! Here are the highlights from my experience: 1. The office is extremely clean and tidy. The front desk staff is kind and helpful. 2. Dr. Pastel is extremely detail oriented and after reviewing my x-rays, he recommended a treatment plan which I felt was just right; not aggressive but preventative. 3. The filling he did was perfect, the contour, the bite and the polish represented some of the best work I’ve seen. 4. The assistant was polite and experienced. I will be recommending Dr. Pastel and his team to everyone I know.

I’ve been going to this dental office for the past two years, a friend recommended it to me, and my experiences at Pastel Dental has always been really great! The people that work there are so nice, so polite, and very professional. The dentists are very skilled and efficient with what they do. I feel that I can really trust them with my teeth and the health of my teeth. Their office doesn’t feel like a stuffy old dental office like most of the ones I’ve been to, it looks very clean, hip, and modern in there which helps me to feel more comfortable and be at ease. Also I love that they offer text and email reminders about the appointments I made with them to help me remember just in case I forget. Five out of five stars from me!

I would like to share my excellent experience that I got from office of doctor Alex Pastel. I live in San Francisco over 20 years and changed a couple of dentist offices during this time. Doctor Pastel is my doctor for last three years. I have never had such good service anywhere else. He is very educated, professional doctor. I always follow his advice and it helps me to save my teeth. It is very important for me as patient to have doctor whom I trust. I don’t need to run to another office and compare decision to get second opinion. Dental office has a contemporary equipment, staff is very friendly. I recommended this doctor to my friends and they are very pleased to get a great service from this office. Dr. Pastel office is very neat, everything is accurate and I am thinking that this is a part of receptionist work. Julia greets you with smile, calls you in advance to remind of closest appointment. I have been coming to Pastel Dental for a few years now, and its always such a pleasant experience. Both dentists are very knowledgeable and attentive. The billing is very straightforward and transparent. I enjoy the easy going atmosphere complimented by good music which makes even difficult procedures much more bearable. Highly recommend this practice!

Excellent professionals. This was the first pleasant visit to a dentist in my life. Dr. Pastel is a consummate skilled professional who clearly cares about what he does and loves his job. Scheduling is quick, they can accommodate emergency and last minute requests if possible. Office is clean and very well equipped. Very good bedside manner, friendly but not familiar, overall very pleasant experience. I am very glad I found Pastel Dental after many years of hit and miss.

Thanks Dr.Alex Pastel for a great work he did with my teeth. This is a great place to start “LOVE” dentist. Costumer service is AWESOME. Julia who runs the front desk very helpful with information about your insurance provider,all details and what your insurance will cover she give it to you on your first appointment. I have a full time job i can’t come anytime, schedule is very flexible and you can find time when you can come and works for you,this is really helpful. All inventories are new and clean, very spacious place and bright. If you scared dentist you can Say “Bye” to you fear, it was back in the past. Dr. Alex Pastel very friendly and nice. He knows his job very well. Always friendly and positive, every time he provide with information about yours teeth and what is he going to do, what filling and which crown we will do. They have all technologies to be on the top and do their job the best. If you are looking for a teeth cleaning this is also Dr.Pastel. Every 6 months i have appointment with them. Pastel Dental rules, plain and simple. Thanks to them, I no longer associate words like “fear”, “dread” and “nightmare” with dentistry. I prefer to use “fresh”, “productive” and “saving grace”. Like most young adults forced to embrace the responsibilities of making appointments and checkups, I was terrified to go to the dentist. You know it’s a bad sign when the memory of your last visit is hazier than your first birthday party. I’m 25, and I don’t think I hadn’t been since I went to college. I called, they scheduled me in and I went in with hands trembling, numb lips, hot sweats, cold sweats, difficulty breathing, difficulty swallowing… very much Bill Murray as Bob Wiley from What About Bob? I’m exaggerating, but as a hypochondriac in the early stages of coming to grips with it, they immediately put my mind at ease. There was a calming presence inside the office, mostly attributed to Dr. Pastel’s wife who works in the office. Rather than making me feel guilty, she felt more like a trainer, throwing a towel over my shoulders, getting ready for the ring. I was pumped and ready to tango. They knew to catch me up and that was phrasing I liked. I didn’t feel guilty or looked down upon for my hygienic irresponsibility. They took x-rays and inspected my mouth. Dr. Pastel was incredibly friendly and helpful and Unsurprisingly, I had a couple cavities, which to me was the biggest relief in the world. I was afraid of words like “root canal” and “gingivitis”. I then laid in the chair as he went to work to clean 5 years of early twenties living aka coffee and cigarette stains. I couldn’t believe I was actually lying there. It was all happening. It felt like therapy without saying anything. I conquered it, baby. When I went back to get my cavities filled, it was quick and painless. Just had my second visit, and it was even more pleasant.
