Paul Coggins is the soul of compassion and competence. After missing a few cleanings I called Dr. Coggins with a toothache- a product of my own negligence, I might add. He got me right in for an appointment. He never fussed at me for missing cleanings and assessed my problem with alacrity and compassion. He briefly educated me about the problem and proceeded to fix it. He was both gentle and reassuring. His staff is the same way. If you are putting off going to the dentist or are new to the area – do yourself a favor and call Dr. Coggins. He will make it as painless and shameless as possible.

I am new to Raleigh and wasn’t sure how difficult it might be to find a new dentist. After seeing Dr. Coggins and his receptionist and hygienist staff, I was relieved. He listened to my explanations and questions and was frank in communication about teeth condition, with an excellent modern X-ray system with the imaging available for me to easily see and discuss. They didn’t pressure me to have additional services, and were thorough in teeth inspection and cleaning. I recommend them to anyone new to Raleigh or seeking a new dentist.

Dr. Coggins is the best Dentist I have ever been to. Such a caring dentist. His assistant is just as caring. He has some outstanding hygienist especially Mrs. Smith. You can say I am kinda partial to her as she was one in my teachers at Wake Tech. The lady Ms. Andy that works in front, has such an outgoing personality and is just a sweet as can be. Love the entire staff!

I don’t really like going to the dentist (who does?), but, if you have to (and you really should), Dr. Coggins is the dentist you need to see. He and his staff are excellent at what they do, and they really seem to enjoy their work. But what really sets them apart from other health care professionals I’ve been to is that, whenever I’m there, I feel appreciated–like they’re genuinely glad to see me. That may sound corny, but we’ve all been to providers that make us feel like nothing more than a number or a line item on a spreadsheet. That’s not the case here. Everyone treats me with kindness and respect–like a real person. That means a lot. If you live in Raleigh (or anywhere close), I highly recommend Dr. Coggins and his team for your dental needs.

I started coming to Dr. Coggins’ office a few months back. I had such a wonderful experience the first one but I wanted to wait a few months until I had more experience at the office before I reviewed and needlessly to say, every visit, calls, and post cards have been so delightful! It’s located right off of the highway so it’s really convenient. Dr. Coggins and his staff are absolutely amazing. Everyone is always smiling, friendly, and welcoming. Andi the receptionist is such a sweetheart! She always calls before your appointment and sends you pretty post cards. Susan is the dental hygienist I’ve been working with and she’s really great! She is very thorough and knowledgeable. And finally Dr. Coggins is awesome! He makes sure you are comfortable, he is genuine, and professional! I’d definitely recommend for everyone to visit! You won’t be disappointed (:

The team in Dr. Coggins’ office goes above and beyond to provide the best care and customer experience for every patient, every visit. Honestly, you will not find a better or more compassionate dentist. Dr. Coggins is extremely thorough in his encounters, taking the time to explain everything in detail to ensure all questions are answered and concerns addressed. He is even available via email! 7:00 a.m. appointments are routinely available. During my last visit I had a pair of ill-fitting retainers which Dr. Coggins adjusted for free, despite the fact someone else had provided my orthodontic appliances. Options were presented with upfront prices, and absolutely no pressure. There was no charge for the visit although it took 30 minutes of the dentist’s time! A sure way to earn our repeat business, however I would’ve gladly paid for the services provided.

Today, Dr.Coggins and his assistant removed my bottom wisdom teeth. Going into the appointment I was extremely anxious and nervous. However, Dr.Coggins and his assistant made me feel very comfortable the entire appointment. They walked me through everything they were doing so there were no surprises. After a good nap following the appointment and around the clock Advil/ibuprofen I feel as good as new and confident I will be able to return to my daily life tomorrow
