I highly recomment this dentist.  They are the most professional and comfortable dentist office I have gone to.  I have had 2 other dentists tell me what I needed to have done and knew it, but he showed me with pictures of the cracks and mercury in my teeth exactly what needed to be done and how much it would cost, step by step.  Very usefull and up front.  I have pain in one tooth and cracked teeth from mercuy fillings all over my molers.  I have read so much about how bad these mercury black fillings are and how we all had those as kids, if you are over at least 40 or so, not sure when they stopped, but not good for your body.  That is what I like most about this dentist, all about your overall health, which starts in the mouth friends, read up on this.  I have bad headaches and hoping getting rid of this mercury will help, I have tried just about everything else, but even if it doesn’t I know I will be healthier without poisen leeking into my system.  Plus I am scared of dentists, but not Dr. Vancamp.  I have had some very bad and painful experiences, not that here!

I never thought a dental experience could be this great! I have been in for a few different procedures /services. First a 90 minute conultation, an extremely thorough cleaning by lisa, a whitening treatment by Jose, and a few fillings. I have always been terrified of the dentist and a major nervous reck with sharp objects and drilling sounds anywhere near my face, but everyone there really knows how to put you at ease, make you cozy and truly deliver a relaxing experience. I just received four fillings that were completely painless by Dr. John Van Camp and am so amazed with how easy it was for me, 2 hours later i felt like it never even happened!! Seriously, that is a big deal!!! The facility is really clean, nicely decorated, has relaxing music, and fantastic customer service. They are very knowledgable, have top notch technology and equipment, and take lots of before and after photos that you can see right then and there giving results right before your eyes. Since coming here i have been much better about taking care of my smile, and  I never thought i would say this, but i can’t wait to go back for my next cleaning!

I highly recommend Dr. VanCamp and the staff at Respect Your Mouth. Forgive the melodrama, but Dr. VanCamp gave me back my smile.  My husband had been seeing Dr. Van Camp for years and recommended him when I was looking for a new dentist.  I came in with some much needed work and they immediately put me at ease and I felt confident that I had found the right place – and I was right.  Dr. Van Camp recently finished replacing all my front crowns and they look beautiful.  To say Dr. Van Camp is a perfectionist is an understatement. He did not stop or settle until he thought my teeth looked fabulous. All in all – a great experience (at the dentist!).  The entire team (Dr. VanCamp, Linda, Jose, Dennis) is fabulous.

I’ve been a patient with Dr. Van Camp for the last five years.  By far the best dentist and team I’ve had.  They might not be the cheapest dentist around but you get what you pay for. They have the latest digital technology,  cool spa like environment and I love the friendly staff- Dennis, Linda (hygienist) and Dr. Van Camp himself.  They have made small adjustment to prior work, like my Cerec fillings for no extra charge and they stand behind their work.  Dennis always explains at every visit what my anticipated copay is, after an estimate of how much my insurance will cover.  On several instances he’s been able to get them to pay for a larger portion than they normally would. I’m glad to have gotten rid of the old mercury laden amalgam fillings- YAY.   They also been very generous in regularly donating dental supplies to Rainbow World Fund, an LGBT based humanitarian aid organization that I volunteer with which distributes medical and dental supplies to places such as Guatemala and Mexico.

I have been going to Dr. Van Camp for over 7 years. I was referred by my wife who came home one day and said you won’t believe the great experience I had at the dentist. They are friendly, knowledgable and very professional. In my previous dental plan Dr. Van Camp was considered out of network. So I pay a little bit extra to get excellent service. A few years back I thought I should go to another dentist in network. The other dentist was like going to Walmart. It was so bad, that other dentist nearly had me spend a considerable amount of money on something that Dr. Van Kamp knew was the problem right away because he knew my history. I highly recommend Dr. Van Camp’s dentistry to anyone.

Dr. Van Camp has been my dentist since he opened his offices close to Union Square in SF. I just had another successful appointment on Thursday and feel compelled to share about it. Dr. Van Camp did an implant 3 month ago and this was the time to fit the crown. I am terrified of any kind of dental work, but the calm office and amazing Staff help a lot. Dr. van Camp was his usual competent and assuring  professional and even took care of filling that seemed to have fallen out on the way. I probably was clutching my teeth to tight. ;-). The visit was longish but only uncomfortable a few times and I reappeared from the 14th floor of the Post Street building with a much more confident smile, no pain whatsoever. Shoes shopping afterwards was l Successful as well. Mission accomplished. Thank you, Dr. Van Camp, Jose and Denis for all the kindness, support and amazing treatments over the years. I am planning to get my teeth  leaned by you all until I’m 80. He promised.

Dr. Van Camp is incredible! So kind and knowledgeable. He and his staff do an amazing job at making you feel comfortable and accepted no matter what hell is going on in your mouth. I’ve been in a few times now and they consistently are just lovely. The space is clean, calm , beautifully decorated, and there is complimentary tea, coffee, and pelligrino to drink while you wait.   Dennis at the front desk does a wonderful job of collecting payment without making you feel uncomfortable, and the doctor’s assistants are so kind! During my last visit I got a little light headed and freaked out after the Novocaine.  They immediately gave me a warm lavender wrap to calm me down and gave me juice to sip on to calm me before continuing. Never have i experienced such amazing dental service!

I’m an extremely satisfied fan of Dr. VanCamp’s practice of healthy dentistry. He’s a smart and caring dentist who’s helped me take better care of my teeth for over 15 years. I completely trust his advice and, inevitably follow it–including replacing mercury fillings; having some crooked teeth nicely straightened; dealing with a cracked tooth; and getting the oral cancer check-up. I am now happily used to painless, modern, smart dentistry, thanks to Dr. VanCamp. And just one more thing. Dr. VanCamp’s dental hygienist, Linda, and his receptionist, Dennis, have shared Dr. VanCamp’s commitment to being kind, professional and efficient partners in taking care of my dental needs. Literally and figuratively, my teeth are in good hands with Dr. VanCamp and his team. It all works! Give it a try!.

It’s important to me that I have a gay friendly dentist office. I have never felt so comfortable. Dr VanCamp’s office is new, modern, high tech and I feel like I am in a spa. It’s like no office I have ever seen. Lavender shoulder wraps and hot towels make me feel like a million bucks. Safe mercury removal is also very important to me because I wanted all my old fillings replaced with porcelain. Dr VanCamp appears to be one of only a few dentist who practice safe holistic dentistry. I was so happy with the results that I decided to have my missing tooth replaced with a porcelain dental Implant. It went smooth and painless. Metal free dentistry is important to me so knowing that Dr VanCamp is a porcelain implant dentist brings me great comfort. I eventually had my Braces and tooth whitening done by Dr VanCamp and my teeth look amazing!! The office is very high class and everyone there is so wonderful!! I recommend Dr. VanCamp to anyone who is looking for a good alternative cosmetic dentist.

I wanted to offer a write up on a great experience I had with this dentist.  I must have eaten something and I had cracked mI have been super bad a cracking my porcelain filling but when I contacted VanCamp dentistry, they quickly found me an available spot when I could come in and repaired it for me.  I liked their super attentive style and their ability to fit me with my busy schedule. They get an A+ for that.  The office continues to be very amenable to fit me in their schedule when I have a last minute emergency as well.

I have never had such an amazing experience with any professional office, let alone a dentist. Dr. VanCamp and his entire staff are friendly & down-to-earth, extremely knowledgable and motivated to give you the best treatment available. They take the time to educate you at every step, and make sure you’re very comfortable along the way. They utilize the most cutting-edge techniques, including creating crowns while you wait. They also give you steamed face towels and green tea while you listen to really good music throughout the studio. This is a spa-like environment which puts you at ease and makes you feel relaxed and taken care of. I love their whole-health approach and their mission to rid people of toxic mercury in their fillings. I only wish I’d found Dr. VanCamp years ago instead of wasting my time with other dentists that do sub-par work and just aren’t invested in the long term health of their clients. I am so happy with my teeth and my smile!

I had a great experience with Dr. Van Camp. The staff was incredibly friendly and the equipment was state of the art. Digital x-rays were awesome and everything was very comprehensive. I do (sorta) understand the reviews about feeling slightly pressured, but that’s what communication is about. Ask questions, it’s your mouth. Is something necessary? Or do they “suggest” it. For those who are upset that they don’t take your insurance…..well go to someone else! It’s not nuclear science. Some medical practices take certain insurances and some don’t. It’s just how it is.  Overall I had a great experience. I think they’re awesome.

I recently saw Dr. VanCamp and his team for the first installment of my mercury detoxification, i.e. replacing my toxic, out-dated amalgam fillings with safe, clean porcelain. I originally went in for a consult and received a set of xrays and a thorough exam by Dr. VanCamp. This was the first time I ever had a dentist show me the xrays and discuss each of my problem areas with me. I needed 6 total restorations– 4 were amalgam fillings that I wanted removed for health reasons (not only was the material toxic, but the fillings had over time caused my teeth to break and decay). The other two needed restorations were composite fillings that were causing decay and needed to be replaced. Dennis at the front desk worked with me after the appointment to prioritize the work that needed to be done and to set up a payment plan that worked for me. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have been able to go through with the treatment. He was also able to schedule my procedure only one week from the date of the consult, even though Dr. VanCamp had a very busy schedule. In the course of that week, some things happened in my personal life and I had to make some changes to my original plan for the first set of restorations– Dennis was more than willing to work things out and was very understanding. The actual procedure went great! I was quite impressed by the lengths Dr. VanCamp goes to protect his patients and staff from further mercury exposure. Sure, it was a bit uncomfortable, like all dental procedures are, but Dr. VanCamp and his staff continually checked in to make sure that I was as comfortable as I could be. Dr. VanCamp was able to make my porcelain inlays right there on the spot– a huge bonus! I was thrilled by the results when Dr. VanCamp shared before and after photos with me. He recommended that I take a few supplements over the course of the next year to help further rid my body heavy metal toxins– he even offered the first round to me at no charge. I’m 100% satisfied with my experience so far and look forward to getting the last few restorations completed in the coming months. Dr. VanCamp and his staff have been awesome communicators and have really responded to my needs and concerns. Dr. VanCamp even checked in with me a few days after the procedure to see how things were going– I’d never had a dentist do that before and I really appreciated it. I would recommended Dr. VanCamp’s Mercury Detox Program to anyone wanting a healthier and more beautiful smile!

Going to the Dentist they say is never fun…Well that adage  is proven completely wrong at Respect Your Mouth under the leadership of Dr.Jon Van Camp. This is what dentistry should be all about – spa like atmosphere, fun, well trained and professional staff who are just cool…no better word for it – they are all just very kind and cool people.  The work performed is done in such a relaxing manner that even with  four items in my mouth while replacing old metal fillings, I literally feel asleep. That is how relaxed I was!  and isn’t that how it should be at the dentist. Anyway – this is the Dentist and the experience my teeth have been looking for! So happy to be a patient and can;t wait till my next appt. Thank you for a great afternoon, I feel truly well cared for, especially my teeth. Dr. VanCamp and his team are very professional and willing to go out of their way to make sure you are taken care of.  While visiting SF, I had a dental emergency occur mid-morning on a Friday.  Dennis, the office manager, was able to schedule an appt for me with Dr. VanCamp that afternoon.  My appt was after the last regularly scheduled patient for the week; however, Dr. VanCamp and his staff had no issue staying late on a Friday to see that my emergency was resolved.  They did not rush the procedure or compromise the quality of care when they could have otherwise already started their weekend.  Overall, it was a great experience and I certainly recommend Dr. VanCamp to anyone in the SF Area.

When I see my dental appointment reminder I actually look forward to it. Believe it! Dr. Van Camp and his awesome staff — Dennis, Linda and Jose — all go above and beyond. I’ve been a happy patient for 7 years. They’re highly professional and organized with great service. They do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. The lavender spray and music stream really provides a calming atmosphere. Plus, they use the latest technology and seem years ahead of other dentists I’ve tried. One day my crown broke and I called Dennis. Right away, he fit me into the schedule with an appointment that same day. I went home pain free with a new permanent crown.  And they didn’t charge me to have it replaced. I will continue to recommend Dr. Van Camp bc he and his staff truly “Respect your Mouth”.

Like many others out there, I have had my share of dentist horror stories to the point that I was pretty afraid of all of them.  Dr. Van Camp changed that.  He and his staff are compassionate and thoughtful, and made sure I was comfortable with everything every step of the way.  I have been in for an initial consult, cleaning, and free teeth whitening (thank you Fernando and Greg at Energy 92.7!), and then my follow-on appointment to replace two aging and disintegrating fillings was today.  I have had terrible trouble in the past with novocaine not really working on me, but they made sure that I was well anesthetized and didn’t feel anything!  He truly is the best dentist I have ever personally been to, and I would recommend him to everyone!
