I have been going to Rio Mar Dental for the past 18 months and find that it is the best dental office that I have ever been too. The staff is fantastic and each one of them go out of the way to make you feel very at ease. They are all very professional and knowledgeable. Additionally, because most of us have a fear of dentist but when you have Arianna Martinez as your dentist she makes you feel at home and very relaxed. She is extremely knowledgeable and explains in detail each procedure in a way that you can understand. Five (5) start are not enough for Rio Mar Dental!

I’ve been to a lot of dentists but this one was definitely the most professional and outstanding dental office. They’re staff is super nice and helpful. I’ve been searching for years to clean my teeth from fluoride and this is the only dental office that was able to do it and had the equipment to do it. They did a fantastic job, and now my teeth are sparkling white. I definitely recommend this dental office to anyone that has fluoride in their teeth or any other procedure. My son and I needed dental work done but I get nervous because root canals can be painful and dental work makes me uncomfortable. I picked Rio Mar Dental after looking at reviews. My son had to get fillings and he felt so comfortable with the Dr Rios and he felt no pain not even the numbing shot. I got a root canal done and fell asleep. Really !!! This was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a dentist. From the first phone call through my 2 appointments, everything was wonderful. Really great people work here. They are friendly and professional. Dr. Rios replaced my crown that came off. I didn’t have to wait for a new one. Also because I have several health issues, he asked me to get an okay from my doctor before doing some other work. I appreciated thst he was being careful for both of us. Well just came back from my second visit with Dr. Rios and I’ve never been more happy with my choice! A little background of myself to keep in mind, I’m disabled and use a powerchair. Let’s start with the office, the rooms are huge, clean, and handicapped. There equipment is up to date and high tech. Dr. Rios is understanding, friendly, and smart. The staff is super nice. Now for my visit, Dr. Rios took the time to hear about my disability, all the procedures that I’ve had, and made me feel comfortable during everything. He took it so far by doing the cleaning without getting off my wheelchair. All in all, I highly recommend coming to see him. Also his bilingual which is a plus in my book!

Wonderful staff. Waited under 10 minutes with an appointment to see Dr. Martinez @ 10:30AM on a Wednesday. After I was called in, I was sent to the x-ray room. The dental assistant was kind and conversational/easy to talk to. I came in for a cleaning and filling. Dr. Martinez is amazing in what she does. Her passion for her career shines through as she is always explaining every step, uses a gentle hand, and assures comfort. She always asked if I was ok every 10 minutes or so, which was so reassuring. I have honestly never felt this comfortable at a dental office before. The dentist is far from my favorite place and always shoots my anxiety through the roof. My previous one never explained what she was doing and would just do her job. Dr. Martinez showed me photos and explained what was going on with my teeth before proceeding, which is comforting because it sucks when you have to guess what they’re going to do and can’t talk with a bite block in your mouth lol. I would recommend this dental office to anyone! They surely know what they are doing. Thank you Dr. Martinez! 🙂

I’ve had my previous dentist for almost ten years … I started going to Rio Mar Dental for the past few years and am so glad I switched doctors. They are gentle, informative, thorough and very professionally NICE! I get automated reminders of my appointment which is very helpful. Their state of the art equipment actually found some issues with my blood vessels which prompted me to see my medical doctor. As a result, we discovered an ascending aortic aneurysm which was taken care of. My latest appointment discovered an old root canal that needs to be redone … these are things you never think about and are thankful that these doctors are so thorough … I am very thankful for and to them … very helpful indeed!

I found Rio Mar Dental after having a horrible experience at a different dental office in my hometown of Bellflower that was recommended by 1-800 dentist. In contrast, Rio Mar was a breath of fresh air all the way around. The x-rays we’re not painful or excessively uncomfortable. The Dr. who worked on me was very professional and informative, and worked very hard to make my filling procedure as pain free as possible. This turned out to be kind of difficult because for some reason, the tooth nerve in question didn’t want to respond to the lidocaine, and I ended up getting about 5 shots to get adequately numb, but even then the nerve was sensitive. In response to this, she wisely figured out that she could just remove my broken filling by prying it out around the back side of my molar, and then she just had to do minimal drilling and replace the filling. Genius! I was pretty sore from all the shots, but that’s not her fault, I just have an unusual nerve connection somewhere so it’s tricky to numb that tooth. It ended up taking a couple of hours total for the x-rays, cleaning, and filling, but I am so happy to have that filling fixed and my teeth cleaned. It had been about 8 years since I last went to the dentist, and the staff at Rio Mar didn’t guilt trip me or make me feel uncomfortable at all. In fact, its one of the best dentist experiences that I’ve ever had, and I HATE going to the dentist. Bottom line, if you’re looking for a great dentist, look no further.

I have been going to Rio March dental now for several years. They are always so courteous and nice when you arrive and there really isn’t any waiting time. They are tender and gentle and thorough as well as educating in the care of your teeth. Even when I had a toothache, I elected to only go to see them and they worked me right in. I’ve had nothing but pleasant experiences with them and would recommend them to anybody. I drive from Tustin Ranch to their office, and I can see other dentists in my area.

My family and I have visited this office for over 4 years, my wife, my 3 children, and me. Since the first visit Dr. Martinez and Dr. Rios have treated us as friends. From a simle cleaning, braces to implants. They always explain to us in detail before starting, and during the procedure they always ask how we are doing. So, I called my insurance and asked if they would find me a Dentist that was accepting new patients. They suggested Rio Mar Dental and got me in touch with them. The receptionist at Rio Mar got me an appointment within 2 days of making the call. I was very pleased that they were able to accommodate me in such a short amount of time with little notice from myself. It was very encouraging. Once we booked the appointment, they emailed me directions to their location and then sent me all of the forms that I would usually be required to fill out 15 minutes before the appointment. The forms were online; so, I didn’t have to print them out. I could just fill them out and my information would be saved. They have both English and Spanish forms. Because they emailed them to me before hand, I was able to just walk right in when it was time for my appointment. On the day of my appointment, I had trouble finding parking. However, there are a few small lots around the office that I found. I just parked in one of those. Their office is a small blue house with their name on the side. When I walked in, the place smelled clean and fresh. The front office (waiting room) was clean, comfortable, and has a play area for children. I waited for about 1-2 minutes after checking in and they were ready for me. I was impressed with how prepared they were and how brief my time in the waiting room was. I was taken to a room where a very kind technician took X-rays of my mouth and teeth. She was very gentle and sweet. X-rays can be tough but she was very kind, patient, humble, and took her time. I can not stress how gentle she was. X-rays can be painful and frustrating because you have to shove this piece of plastic in various parts of your mouth. It can be very painful. But she was so gentle, patient, and kind. Then, my Dentist, Dr. Rios, came in and asked me about how my teeth were feeling. He was very prepared, knowledgeable, and trustworthy. Also, he was very kind and listened to me. He gave really positive and reassuring advice. He was good at explaining why my sensitivity was occurring and how to prevent it. I was so impressed with how quickly he could tell that I may have been flossing too hard. So, he had me floss as he watched. Then, he showed me how to do it. He was an excellent teacher. Once, that was done, he cleaned my teeth. I’ve never had a dentist clean my teeth before, usually the dental hygienist does it. I was psyched that my dentist was going to clean my teeth. He was very gentle and cleaning was very quick. my teeth looked so nice when he was done. I was so happy. Additionally, I had come in to inquire about teeth whitening. He said that I wouldn’t need that because my teeth were fine and it would be painful. I’ve seen a few dentist before Dr. Rios and they all told me I needed to buy all of these things or my teeth were going become damaged. Dr. Rios flat out told me my teeth were fine and suggested that whitening would be unnecessary. I was so impressed. I definitely feel like Dr. Rios is trustworthy and honest. He won’t try to sell you something you don’t need. He is an honest Dentist. I think everyone should go to Rio Mar Dental. I cannot recommend this Dental Office enough. They are THE BEST dentists in OC.

Been coming to Rio Mar since I moved to Fullerton about 4 years ago. There is never a long wait when I come visit. My whole family comes here, including my 2 small children. They are very gentle and I’ve never had a bad experience with pain. I had a wisdom tooth pulled here that was already fully out and the procedure went great. Very minimal pain with the healing process. They also referred me out to get the other two wisdoma out which required surgery but thankfully were covered through my insurance. Definitely recommend this Dental office for adults and kids.

I want to thank Drs. Martinez & Rios for getting my teeth back on track. I arrived with a badly infected cracked molar, which had to be removed. I was uninsured for many years, and my teeth have suffered for it. Diabetes and high blood pressure haven’t helped. Drs. A WORD FROM YOUR DOCTOR
Dr. Arianna G. Martinez and Dr. Jose A. Rios Loaiza practice dentistry together as a husband and wife team. They both graduated from the University of La Salle in Leon, Guanajuato. Certified through the Western Regional Examination Board at the University of Southern California and Loma Linda University, they have been practicing locally since 2010 until they decided to open their private practice in Fullerton in January of 2015. Together they treat comprehensive cases by combining their skills, including endodontics, implants, and orthodontics. Their focus is family dental care-including treatment of pediatric patients with oral conscious sedation. When they are not at the office, they enjoy spending time with their three children, Rebekah, Lola, and Valentino, travelling to new places and exploring the outdoors. Dr. Rios grew up in Mexico and moved to California with his wife since 2010, he spends his free time hiking and mountain-biking the trails of southern California, gardening, and reading up on the latest tech gadgets or cars. Dr. Martinez grew up locally in Tustin, California, enjoys cooking, travelling, interior home decor, and doing arts and crafts with her kids. Dr. Rios and Dr. Martinez also enjoy going on "foodie adventures" and wine-tasting together.
