DeeDee K: I’ve had 50 years of misaligned teeth and a severe underbite that was causing gum & recession damage. I was told by my primary dentist that if I corrected my bite using braces, the end result would correct my underbite and slow down future gum and recession damage. So reluctantly and nervously I made an appointment with Dr. Meister’s office. He came highly recommended and had a great reputation for fixing adult teeth alignment issues. With my situation, I needed a lot of help. I have never been fond of going to the dentist and to have braces in my 50’s and the subsequent monthly visits and adjustments was terrifying to me. Dr. Meister and his staff were so kind and comforting at each and every visit. They calmed my fears and in 2 years, just like Dr. Meister had stated, the braces came off. I now have a normal overbite and my recession will slow down considerably. I’m forever grateful for Dr. Meister’s excellent work (he had a lot to fix) and his wonderful staff. I had my last retainer check yesterday and I’m forever grateful to all of them. They made this journey for me a lot less terrifying.

You need to come to Dr. Meister for all your orthodontic needs!! The staff are amazing and sweet. The doctor is patient and kind. They are amazing with my kids while I’m getting worked on. My daughter even had an impacted molar and her pediatric dentist wanted to send her somewhere else.. I said no way, she needs to see my orthodontist. There aren’t enough good things to say about them. They are very flexible with scheduling and work with you so you have the best care possible!

We decided to go to Dr. Meiater’s office after visiting 3 orthodontists.. My daughter immediately liked Dr. Meister’s demeanor… He has a very calming personality and he explains the procedure in a manner that my daughter understands.. He didn’t prescribe any unnessary procedures and didn’t up sell any products… Just the necessities… I do believe that the success of his practice is also credited to the dental staff and office administrators that run the office… They respond quickly to my inquiries and efficiently! On the day that the braces were taken off, he took time to discuss the progress of my daughter’s treatment as well as instructions for daily care. Dr. Meister really invested in my child’s care. My daughter broke one of her braces on a weekend and the response time was no longer 10 minutes and they were able to see her and correct the problem right away! We highly recommend Dr. Meister to whoever needs ortho work! The Conots are a big FAN!

If you are looking for an excellent orthodontist & staff, this is where you want to go. I am in my mid-fifties and have a very difficult case that Dr. Meister has worked wonders with. I am one of those that didn’t wear her retainer as a teen, and then ended up having some dental problems later in life. I am missing several of my back teeth on top with not one back tooth on the upper right side to act as an anchor. Dr. Meister worked out an amazing treatment plan for me & has worked miracles so that I am now close to being able to get dental implants. He is part of what has come to be my Dream Team of dental providers. He was even able to do this using Invisalign! I highly recommend this orthodontist & practice. I was literally almost ready to have all of my teeth pulled out and get all new teeth. I’m so glad that he has helped me to keep the good healthy teeth that I have left.

Scheduling was very easy because they have two offices one in Laguna hills and RSM so depending on my schedule I could go to either office. Never had any issues scheduling, the ladies at the front desk are always so sweet. April took care of me mostly during my treatment. Dr. Meister and his staff have been amazing throughout the whole process of both my children getting two phases of orthodontic treatments over a period of about 8 years. The results are in their perfect smiles! My daughters braces were taken off just earlier this week just in time for winter formal. Having the two office locations with flexible scheduling allowed me as a working mom to make sure they could make their appointments. The ladies on the front desk really try and work with the patients and parents schedules to keep everything on track. I do recall that when my daughter ran out of bands and we could not get to the office, Dr. Meister dropped a package of them at my home! Not sure how many other orthodontists would do that! Please consider visiting Dr. Meister’s office when looking for an orthodontist, you wont be disappointed.

This review is coming from a teen! (: I went to Dr. Meister for a year for braces. The staff was really nice and funny and Dr. Meister was always cracking jokes like “oh we’re going to use little sticks of dynamite to take the braces off your teeth!” I think every teen doesn’t want to get braces, but if you have to, this is the place to go! Having them was SO worth it. I love having straight teeth!

I call Dr. Robert Meister my miracle worker. He made one of my dreams come true: a beautiful smile :)! My orthodontic case was so complex. I was 43 years old and so my teeth’s movement would have not been easy. Please check out my Before, During and After treatment pictures, because my photos will show a total transformation. When Dr. Meister started the treatment, my teeth were so crooked, my bite needed adjustment, my upper teeth were protruding. Boy was I a dentist’s nightmare. Could not recommend Dr. Meister and his staff (including front desk) any higher! I had braces when I was young with a different orthodontist and by the time my wisdom teeth moved in, they had pushed my bottom teeth forward. In addition to getting corrective braces, Dr. Meister also noticed my retainer for my top teeth was no longer “working”. He fixed that at the same time so my bite wouldn’t bother me! I love how honest they were with everything and never tried to over charge. Five stars, for sure!

I am so happy with the care Dr. Meister is giving all three of my girls. I have one between phases, one in phase 2 of her braces, and one in a retainer. Each girls gets such individual care! We are so busy and I appreciate how the appointments are organized and on time. I can’t think of a time that we have had to wait more than 5 minutes. Dr. Meister and his staff are outstanding! They are kind and caring, and make you feel comfortable and welcome from the minute you step into their offices. My daughter not only needed braces, but also had a unique situation of 2 missing teeth that other orthodontists did not know how to treat. This was a very sensitive issue for my daughter, and with confidence, expertise, and ease, Dr. Meister assured my daughter that she would never leave his office unhappy or uncomfortable about the way her teeth and smile looked. He made 2 pontics (artificial teeth) and attached them to the braces, and she could not have been happier. Her self-esteem changed immediately and her smile looked completely natural and perfect. Dr. Meister is one of the kindest and gentlest people we have ever met. There have been a few occasions where we had to contact him after office hours. He is responsive, and goes out of his way for his patients. He rearranged his family plans very last minute on a Friday evening and on a Sunday afternoon to accommodate my daughter and met us at his office in a very timely matter. Never once did he make us feel that we were inconveniencing him. As he so graciously says, “this is part of our service”. He makes each of his patients feel special, and is very giving of his time. In addition, his office staff are wonderful…personable, caring, accommodating, professional and a pure delight to work with. I cannot recommend Dr. Meister enough…I am convinced that no other orthodontist can rival his professionalism, expertise and knowledge, and kind demeanor. For over twenty five years, we have provided expert orthodontic care that has resulted in some of Orange County's most beautiful smiles. Utilizing the latest in orthodontic technology, we are committed to helping you achieve the smile you have always dreamed of. I graduated from Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry in 1978 before obtaining my master’s degree in Orthodontics and Facial Orthopedics in 1984. I have been practicing orthodontics in Orange County for over 30 years and currently operate successful offices in both Laguna Hills and Rancho Santa Margarita. Since starting my practice in Orange County, I have been privileged to treat more than 7,000 patients. I care deeply about supporting and furthering the profession of orthodontics, and throughout my career, I have volunteered my time in leadership roles for several professional organizations in both California and throughout the western United States. I am currently the president-elect for the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists (PCSO). The PCSO provides state of the art training for both orthodontists and their team members in order to facilitate a safe, informed, and efficient treatment experience for patients. I have also served as a delegate in the House of Delegates for the American Association of Orthodontists for more than 8 years, and I am a past president of the California Association of Orthodontists. I am passionate about staying current on the latest innovations in orthodontics. I help manage the Academy for Orthodontic Excellence, a study club that brings in speakers from throughout the world to update local orthodontists on the newest techniques in efficient treatment. I also attend the annual orthodontic society meetings of both the Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontists and the American Association of Orthodontists. For over six years, I have been honored to serve as an Associate Professor of Orthodontics at my alma mater, Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry. In this role, I enjoy guiding the next generation of orthodontists through their residency programs and instilling in them the skills and values of the profession that I hold dear. I was humbled to recently be recognized by fellow faculty and my students for my commitment to orthodontic education. I live in Laguna Niguel with Carolyn, my wonderful wife of 39 years. We have three grown children. Our sons Dustin and Blake reside and work in southern California. Our daughter Alyssa is currently practicing dentistry in Fort Lewis, WA, where she serves as an officer in the U.S. Army. Alyssa is a fellow graduate of Loma Linda University, School of Dentistry, and I was honored to present her with her diploma last year. Carolyn and I look forward to welcoming our first grandchild in December. In my spare time, I enjoy skiing, golfing, paddle-boarding, and pretty much anything else that I can do outdoors.
