I recently found Dr. Fleming through my insurance. The minute I walked into the office I knew that this was going to be different kind of dental appointment experience. I was first greeted by 2 precious dogs, they were absolutely adorable and kept me company while I filled out some paperwork. Then I had a conversation with the ladies at the desk who were very friendly and helpful. I had my teeth cleaned by Sheena. It was the most thorough cleaning that I have ever had. Sheena was super nice and pleasant. Later Dr.Fleming came in to meet with me. Dr.Fleming was unlike any dentist that I ever met. Instead of being stuffy and down to business he was very outgoing , laid back and interested in getting to know me before my exam. I really felt comfortable and knew that I was in good hands. (oh, did I mention massage chair). I found my new dentist for life. I left the office smiling, I wasn’t expecting any of this. Thank you Sheena and Dr.Fleming I will see you all in 6 months.

Dr. Fleming is hands down Charleston’s best. I have been going to his office for six months now and I can’t imagine ever going anywhere else. His staff is amazing, appointments are a breeze-but what sets him apart is his unbelievable knowledge and bedside manor. He goes far above & beyond for his patients and his work is flawless. He is truly an artist. I have worked in the dental field for several years & have seen many dentists. Dr. Fleming is in a league all his own. He is 100% open and honest &He is a master at his craft continually doing research on new & improved techniques and incorporating them into his practice. I have learned so much from him and am so grateful to have been introduced to this office. That’s just on the dentistry side. Now the cosmetic side…..BRILLIANT. Chose this practice. Best decision you’ll ever make!

Dr. Fleming goes far beyond the expectations of a good dentist. He is truly the best medical professional I have ever worked with. My boyfriend and I were regulars a few years back and recently while visiting Charleston had an emergency dental situation (surfboard to the face) and Dr. Fleming REALLY helped us out. After frantically calling the emergency number far past bedtime he called me back and made time (on his day off) for my boyfriend to come in the next morning and get his two front teeth fixed. I don’t know what we would have done if Dr. Fleming didn’t make himself available to help us out in a really crappy and weird situation. And he did an amazing job doing a dental implant (which is not casual) that same day so my boyfriend still had front (fake) teeth 🙂 Thank you to everyone at Chucktown Dental!

I love Dr. Fleming’s office. Scheduling appointments is a breeze, and the staff is all very professional and helpful. I have had a handful of cleanings done since May 2016, and a few fillings due to college habits. Ryan is a very down to earth guy, patient, and always very steady when he is working on you/in your mouth. I like a place that gives suggestions instead of just formal in-and-out visits. Since going to Dr. Fleming, I have purchased an Electric Toothbrush, and after a year of use, I will never go back. The staff in Chucktown Dental is upbeat and friendly, and they are geared towards having a clean mouth, good brushing and flossing habits, and we all know this means you keep your good ol’ teeth for longer. My most recent appointment with Colleen was great! Good conversation and great cleaning. She complimented my teeth and recommended some whitening strips (not in a bad way, I drink coffee and smoke so this was not harsh news). She kept a good attitude towards me improving my flossing habits, and me picking a time of day to floss for better gum health (we have all heard this before, but few people make changes). My teeth always legitimately feel very clean when I leave Ryan’s office and my spirit is always a little brighter.. plus, they usually have some cute dogs roaming around which makes me feel more comfortable and less like a patient/subject. As long as I live in Charleston, I will go to Chucktown Dental and recommend it to my peers.

Dr. Ryan Fleming operates under the name of “Chucktown Dental” in the Ashley House there on Lockwood Drive. I have been going to this practice since the time years and years ago when Dr. “Pete” Crotts was the dentist, before he retired and sold the practice to Ryan Fleming. Lots of activity at times here, but thankfully I was only in for the usual cleaning. But, sigh, they convinced me (after multiple times of talking to me) to go ahead and get a crown in the right side as it has a large filling from my early years and, yes, the size and the fracture line in it necessitates having the work done. He has done one other crown and for a guy like me that detests needles (and thus dental work), it was about as painless as you could ever dream that it should be.

Not only is Dr. Fleming both brilliant and professional, but his work is nothing short of magic. I truly look forward to all of my appointments because I know that I am in the absolute best hands. Moreover, his staff go above and beyond in every way by providing such warmth, hospitality, and ease in scheduling. They have managed to squeeze me into their busy schedule on countless occasions and for that I am so grateful.
