I recently visited Shem Creek Dental Associates for the first time for my bi-annual cleaning. It was wonderful. The atmosphere was warm and inviting and everyone was very professional and friendly. Dottie my hygienist was superb. The feeling after my cleaning was excellent. Dr Culler and his assistant, Marwan were awesome. Everything was explained to me in great detail which put my mind at ease. I actually will look forward to seeing them in the future for my next cleaning.

I can’t say enough positive things about Dr. Culler and his staff at Shem Creek Dental… They are so kind, and accommodating, efficient, and most importantly, skilled. I felt truly safe in Dr. Culler’s care as he attended to multiple hours of dental work on me recently. Both him and his assistant were thoughtful and checked in on me regularly throughout the procedure, which made me feel at ease. I liked the modern but laid back room, dug the music choices, (which you can change too) and loved the option of watching a movie or Netflix above if you want. I was really relieved that the chair I was in had a comfortable neck support (for the hours I spent laying), and overall just liked the vibe of the office. Down to earth, easy-going yet professional, plant-filled, Charleston aesthetic. Dr. Culler is truly talented.. Oh, and it was cool seeing his state of the art teeth scanning device for my crown, and having it made there on the spot. I thought I’d have to have some sort of goo mold made to get the shape but he’s got some new tech that I hadn’t seen before and got a kick out of. Anyways, thanks again to all you guys at Shem Creek Dental, y’all are the best!

First off, I LOATHE the dentist. I dread it every 6 months, but everyone there was AWESOME! From the time I booked my appointment to the time I left, everyone was super friendly and most importantly, genuine. I actually went here to get a second opinion because another area dentist said I had cavities. Not saying this can’t happen, but I’ve NEVER had a cavity and he was putting off a “slick willy” kind of vibe. I declined the filling. When I went here, Dr. McPherson looked at the X-rays, my teeth and the pictures they took and said she didn’t see anything. Since I had some enamel starting to wear, she suggested adding a heavier fluoride to my daily routine, but said she likes to start there before drilling into people’s mouths. Couldn’t agree more. Thank you to everyone there for making a normally traumatic experience, pleasurable! I will definitely be back!!!

This place is absolutely awesome. Dr. Culler and his staff are incredible! A lot of people have serious reservations about going to the dentist, but fear no more. Every part of the process was smooth. The X-rays were easy, cleaning was very thorough and the hygienist was extremely informative, and Dr. Culler was highly knowledgeable and personable. I almost want to go back already!

Great team of professionals here. Their commitment to the highest calibre of service stands out from regular cleanings through major dental work. Their friendly approach settles any anxious nerves, yet their superb training and advanced skills give you continuing confidence that you’ve come to the right place for any dental work. With Dr. McPherson, only perfect will do, she’s not satisfied until you are totally comfortable and happy with the result. I’ve had a couple of recent minor emergencies. They’ve immediately fit me in to their busy schedule any never did I get the feeling that I was messing up their schedule or being a burden. Great place, I’d recommend to young and old.

My first two visits to Shem Creek Dental have been nothing less than excellent. The professional and friendly staff make you feel comfortable knowing that most people have a fear of the dentist. There is no pressure to complete any treatment that is diagnosed, instead, the doctor and his team choose to educate you with tools that allow you to see their findings. Today was my first time visiting after being referred by a good friend. It was such a positive experience. All the ladies and gents came around to the front desk at the beginning and end of the visit to introduce themselves. I was having crown work, so a two hour visit. Dr. Culler and his assistant immediately put me at ease. His hands are very gentle and not once did I feel any slight discomfort while he was working on the tooth. He explained each part of the procedure giving me breaks by removing the rubber mouth opener when he could see I needed a rest. I’m actually looking forward to my follow up visit in two weeks to get the permanent crown. p.s. They even allow you to choose the radio station…70,s Road Trip!!
