I had a great experience! Dr. Marin was very thorough and he took the time to explain and answer all my questions. Everyone in this office is so nice. I had been going to the same dentist for over 30 years, when he decided to retire I was devastated, I couldn’t see myself developing trust in another dentist. I tried two other offices but my experience wasn’t the best. Rude staff, rushed attention. With Dr. Marin I felt at ease from the beginning. Even my husband was surprised since he knows I have trust issues from bad past experiences. I highly recommend Dr. Marin and his team to everyone.

First of all let me say thank you to all the wonderful staff and Dr. Oscar Marin for always being friendly, kind, attentive, and always receiving you with a smile making you feel like their number 1 patient. The first day of my first appointment i was nervous, but who isn’t nervous to see the dentist right? From the moment i stepped in i was greeted and welcomed by everyone in the front office with a big smile. I was given a tour of the location and was introduced to the rest of the staff dental assistants, dental hygienist, and Dr. Oscar Marin, i started feeling at ease getting to know everyone and seeing their awesomely clean and organized location. Once it was time for my turn in the dentists chair i was well taken care of by the dental assistants as i was prepped for the x-rays and all, they kept my mind busy with funny and friendly delightful conversation. Once Dr. Marin came by and greeted me to evaluate my teeth he was very attentive. Let me tell you Dr. Oscar Marin is one of the best dentists if only the best i have ever been to, he is a 3rd generation dentist. He has a very delicate way of working on your teeth and mouth, and for a dentists trust me that is a very good thing. In all my experience at west covina smiles has been super great, now when i go for a check up i walk in with confidence knowing i will be treated very well by all the stuff and Dr. Oscar Marin, i highly recommend this place it is awesome!!

I wish I could give smile design 1000 stars. This place blows me away. I haven’t been to the dentist in over 10 years because I was traumatized as a kid. Dr. Marin puts my mind at ease knowing that he is my dentist. I had a gum cleaning at my previous dentist and all I felt was pain. Dr. Marin did my gum treatment in two sessions and on top of that numbed me so I wouldn’t feel a thing. He is honestly the Superman of dentistry. I was a former patient of (previous owner). When I received his letter in the mail that he was retiring and he highly recommended the new dentist, Dr. Marin, I was a bit worried about the change. But I had major pain in my upper molar and decided to give Dr. Marin a chance. And I am so glad I did. He is so knowledgeable and takes time to explain what may be causing pain and sensitivity in my teeth. He is friendly and never seems rushed. He ensures I am completely numb to prevent any unnecessary pain. He gives professional and personal advice on how to take care of my teeth outside of the office. I walked into Smile Design after an embarrassing amount of time not going to the dentist. Of course i was a little nervous after it being so long, but the whole team was so kind and welcoming that it totally put me at ease. Each person who walked in genuinely asked how I was doing and got to know more about me, my family, and my business. And they all actually cared! They all have families themselves and really value family. The dentist came in and asked how I was doing and what concerns i had with my mouth. He listened and made me feel heard before even taking a look. When it came time to have some work done (cleaning and fillings), they were super gracious, quick, and GENTLE. They even numbed me before they gave me a shot. I didn’t feel a thing. There isn’t one rude person in the whole office. They’re so sweet and fun and it feels like a family. Thank you Dr. Marin and West Covina Smiles for taking me in on such short notice! After dealing with a massive toothache for 3 days I couldn’t bare the pain anymore. Went in to see Dr. Marin and it turned out, I had a really bad infection that required the tooth to be pulled immediately. Most dentists wouldn’t do the procedure when the tooth is infected and in pain but Dr. Marin realized the pain I was in and decided to perform the procedure. OMG! I will first say that Dr.Marin and his staff are amazing. I was quite hesitant to try the new dentist that took over for my previous dentist that I had for 10 years. But Dr.Marin and his staff were very friendly and put all my worries to rest. His staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. They made me feel as if I had known them for years. Dr. Marin is very pleasant and has a gentle touch. He was great with my 2 year old even though he was being quite the difficult patient. Both my wife and I had our first visit with him and enjoyed the added technology he brought in that the previous dentist didn’t have. Upon completion of our exams he didn’t try to up sell us on procedures that were unnecessary and only told us what needed to be done. Both of our cleanings were done professionally and I must say the fluoride was quite enjoyable. Wife and I scheduled our upcoming treatments and they also offer 5% off if you pay upfront which I thought was nice addition. Few weeks later we returned for our treatment and wow! Dr. Marin knows his profession. Treatment was fast and painless. Gentle touch and always mare sure you were comfortable. His dental assistants are very friendly and make sure your comfortable the entire time(…).

I got a really warm feeling coming in! That’s the first time I’ve ever felt that i was a friend rather than a patient. I like how everything was detailed and everything was up front. I knew I was having some issues because I have been postponing my dentist appointment for a few years. This office came highly recommended by one of my friends I really like Dr. Marin’s no b.s. approach. He went over the issues that were more critical and structured a plan to get my back teeth in shape. I’ve always wanted to have straight teeth but I feel like I’m too old to have braces, so he suggested doing Invisalign as a second phase of treatment. So far I had a deep cleaning and my gums feel and look a lot better, I thought I was gonna be in a lot of pain, but it didn’t bother me one bit. I recommend this office for anyone looking for a clean office with above average, friendly service.

Where do I even start ? I’m so thankful I came across this dental office! Before I came here I felt like I was getting fillings non stop and there was no solution to my dental issues. When I started seeing Dr. Marin he discussed my dental issues and came up with a treatment plan. I was always concerned about having amalgam fillings and most dental offices always advised against removing them but when I spoke with Dr. Marin he recommended that we should remove the almalgum fillings and replace them with the white fillings. Since I have been coming here I have not had reccuring cavities and the sensitivity I had with cold foods has improved. Overall my dental health has improved and I am so thankful! Also the staff is amazing ! They are always friendly and make you feel so welcomed. It’s rare to come across an office where the staff seems like they actually enjoy where they work ! If you care about your dental health you should definitely book an appointment with Dr. Marin !

The environment is very friendly , very clean, very professional, and I really do like the way that Dr. Marin and his staff treat his patients more so like friends rather than just clients/business. I have a very busy schedule so there are times where we do set an initial appointment after my visit and things change frequently do to my job and they always work with me to accommodate. Dr Marin and his staff took excellent care of my mother who is almost 90 years old. Gabby and Berlin were above and beyond! My mother got dentures. Dr Marin was kind and patient with her. Dr. Marin answered all my questions and let me know all option. After so much at ease I booked my wisdom teeth surgical procedure. The day of the procedure was nerve wrecking (I have bad anxiety problems) but with Dr. Marin and the whole staff at my side I felt so comfortable and was able to remain calm during the procedure.
